This role is part of our Global Studios team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and
speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market

The Copy Editor is responsible for proofreading, modifying, and approving AI-generated copy and communications for one of the
world’s largest telecommunication companies. This role requires outstanding attention to detail across high-visibility projects
and is a vital bridge between the creative teams and the client, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
We’re looking for a human dictionary who understands the importance of delivering consistent, on-brand digital creative. They live

In your role, you will report to the Creative Director who will drive the strategy and direction for the creative team. Ready for a new challenge? Summary of Position The Localization Copy Editor is responsible for writing and editing in-game text and voiceover scripts for all Nexon games. They are also responsible for assisting his/her team in deciding new style rules. They are responsible for writing and updating various localization process documents, including style guides, NPC documents, story bibles, process guides, proper noun pages, Q’s docs, QA notes, etc. They are also responsible for keeping tabs on the copy editing progress of assigned games and communicating with the project manager if issues arise. We are currently working in the office 2-3x a week in a hybrid work model. Job Responsibilities * Edit and culturalize translated game text and voiceover scripts to make them entertaining, immersive, accurate, and relatable to a western audience, to the extent agreed upon with the product owners of each game. Contribute to discussions about text issues in Nexon’s games and other communication channels. Fix in-game text bugs and typos * Create and update various localization documents, including style guides, NPC documents, story bibles, process guides, proper noun pages, Q’s docs, QA notes, etc. * Guide the style direction of assigned Nexon games by initiating style discussions with the project manager and copy editing lead * Take ownership of the copy editing tasks of assigned games by keeping tabs on each content update’s editing progress, divvying up work between editors assisting with the project, checking that all tasks are completed, and notifying the project manager if things start to fall off track or if the team encounters any obstacles * Other duties as assigned Work Experience * 2-3 years game-related work experience * 3-5 years professional writing experience Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification * Bachelor’s degree in English preferred * Creative writing background preferred Knowledge/Skills * Excellent grammar and copy-editing skills * Familiarity with CMoS * Ability to edit to specific established voices and styles while faithfully conveying the source material's vision * Avid player of anime-style character-collecting mobile games, such as Girls Frontline and Azur Lane * Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy, deadline-driven environment * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with sharp attention to detail * Ability to work well with a variety of stakeholders with differing priorities and requirements * Ability to give and receive constructive feedback * Previous game localization experience a plus * Familiarity with editing game strings with codes, localization QA testing, and text tools/CAT tools a plus * Experience editing voiceover scripts and attending voiceover sessions a plus * Your typical day at work would include copy-editing same-day turnaround in-game text, banner text, social media content, and other out-of-game text before jumping into longer-term in-game text for the rest of the day. The daily process includes working within a CAT tool, interacting with a text tool, updating documentation, maintaining termbase consistency, and checking on progress to ensure your project’s deadlines are being met. Some days you will also LQA the text you worked on previously, fix bugs, or localize voiceover scripts and other projects.
