Optimization Manager
Adyen is seeking a strategic and analytical Optimization Manager to join our Performance Optimization team in Tokyo. In this role,
you will be responsible for managing full-funnel payment performance to drive tangible business impact and optimize merchant
success at scale.
You will act as a key partner to our merchants, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance their payment ecosystems. Success in
this position requires a blend of excellent project management skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with
cross-functional teams, including Product, Commercial, and Data Analytics, within a fast-paced and global environment.
The ideal candidate possesses deep payments expertise, a strong focus on risk and fraud prevention, and the ability to translate
complex technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Position Summary: The eCommerce Site Merchandising and Optimization Manager owns the day-to-day merchandising, maintenance, and optimization of livemomentous.com. This role is responsible for ensuring the website remains current, organized, and aligned with business priorities while continuously identifying opportunities to improve customer experience and conversion. This individual serves as the operational heartbeat of the e-commerce team, maintaining homepage merchandising, collection strategies, promotional experiences, and content updates while monitoring performance and surfacing opportunities and risks. Success in this role requires strong merchandising instincts, exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to coordinate work across multiple stakeholders. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: SITE MERCHANDISING & CONTENT MANAGEMENT * Own merchandising optimization across homepage, collections, navigation, promotional pages, LP’s and featured product experiences. * Maintain seasonal campaigns, product priorities, and promotional updates. * Ensure site content remains current, accurate, and aligned with business priorities. * Continuously optimize product placement and customer discovery. SITE PERFORMANCE & ANALYSIS * Monitor website performance and identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities. * Track key ecommerce metrics including: * Conversion Rate (CVR) * Revenue Per Visitor (RPV) * Average Order Value (AOV) * Lifetime Value (LTV) * Subscription Uptake Rate * Analyze customer behavior using analytics and heatmap tools. * Translate insights into recommendations and action plans. CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE OPTIMIZATION * Identify friction points and opportunities throughout the customer journey. * Recommend and implement improvements to merchandising, product presentation, and navigation. * Support ongoing experimentation and optimization initiatives. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COORDINATION * Partner with Marketing, Creative, Science, Operations, and Technical teams to execute website updates. * Ensure dependencies are identified early and work moves efficiently between teams. * Surface risks and blockers proactively. OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE * Maintain launch calendars, merchandising trackers, and documentation. * Coordinate QA processes and ensure a high level of execution quality. * Develop repeatable processes that improve speed and reduce errors. AI & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT * Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual work. * Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows. * Support adoption of emerging technologies across e-commerce operations. QUALIFICATIONS: * 5+ years of experience in ecommerce, merchandising, digital operations, or related fields. * Experience working within Shopify Plus. * Strong understanding of ecommerce KPIs and customer behavior. * Experience with platforms such as Recharge, Klaviyo, Rebuy, GA4, Northbeam, heatmap tools, Intelligems, and Asana or similar preferred. * Strong project management and communication skills. * High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. * Curiosity around AI and emerging e-commerce technologies. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR The Publisher Yield & Optimisation Manager is central to helping our publisher partners unlock their full revenue potential. Acting as the quantitative heartbeat of the Publisher Operations team, this role turns complex ad-tech data into meaningful insights and practical optimisation strategies. By identifying opportunities, enhancing on-site performance, and providing partners with clear, data-driven recommendations, the role fosters strong relationships, boosts retention, and drives long-term growth across the Venatus publisher portfolio. WHAT YOU'LL DO: YIELD STRATEGY, ON-SITE OPTIMISATION & PERFORMANCE OWNERSHIP * Yield Ownership: Full ownership of publisher yield performance, actively identifying and executing comprehensive monetisation strategies across the publisher experience, including ad configuration, site layout, bidder performance and new ad format adoption on exiting publishers as well as publisher in onboarding “Ramp up” * On-Site UX & Revenue Consultation: Serve as a technical consultant to publishers, delivering data-driven recommendations for website design changes, optimal ad placement, ad density strategy, and the integration of high-impact ad formats (e.g., video, Rich media) to balance user experience and revenue. * A/B Testing & Analysis: Design, implement, and analyse rigorous A/B tests on ad layouts, configuration options, and site changes to validate hypotheses and scale winning, data-backed strategies across the client base. * Monetisation Health: Proactively monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as eCPM, Fill Rate, RPM, and Revenue, flagging and diagnosing performance issues and recommending immediate solutions. ANALYTICS, REPORTING & PROCESS DEVELOPMENT * Reporting Automation: With the help of the Data team, design, build, and maintain scalable reporting infrastructure to provide timely, accurate, and standardised data for internal stakeholders (Publisher Success, Leadership) on Key accounts. * QBR Support: Work directly with the Publisher Success team to develop data narratives, customised reporting, and deep-dive analysis required for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs). * Yield Strategy Playbook: Design and document a comprehensive Site Analysis Protocol, featuring standardised data queries, technical checklists, and historical performance models to proactively identify concerning patterns and implement proven corrective monetisation strategies across the portfolio * Process Improvement: Develop and document operational processes for tracking monetisation experiments, reporting results, and implementing successful yield strategies efficiently across the team. BUSINESS RETENTION & GROWTH SUPPORT * Value Extraction: Partner with the Head of Publisher Success to identify and capitalize on opportunities to increase revenue from existing clients, focusing on maximizing value delivery to the publisher. * Sales Enablement: Assist the Business Development team and Manager by providing performance case studies, industry benchmarks, and technical insights to support the pitching and winning of new business. * Internal Expertise: Act as the internal subject matter expert on current ad tech trends, platform updates, and yield optimisation best practices. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Strong background and proven experience within Ad Technology (Ad Serving, SSPs, DSPs, GAM, Header Bidding). * Deep analytical capabilities and proficiency in data visualisation and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Python/R, Tableau, Looker, or similar). * Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into clear, client-facing business recommendations.
