Assignment Description
We are looking for an Electrical System Engineer
What You Will Work On
Design and develop customer-specific electrical systems for turbine projects
Create and maintain complete electrical documentation
Manage electrical scope within Extended Scope projects
Work with systems including transformers, switchgear, and protection relays
Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers across project phases
Support installation and commissioning activities in workshop environments
Contribute to project delivery from design through execution
Ensure compliance with technical standards and project requirements
What You Bring
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
2–3 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering
Experience working with low- to high-voltage systems
Strong understanding of electrical design and system integration
Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
Ability to work in cross-functional and project-based environments
A Snapshot of Your Day Join our Electrical Engineering team and create detailed, customer-specific electrical designs for Medium Gas Turbine projects. You’ll work closely with project teams to deliver layouts, circuit diagrams, and documentation, ensuring every customer requirement is met. Support projects from design through assembly, collaborating with control, mechanical, and project lead teams. You’ll also interact with assembly, site teams, subcontractors, and purchasing, making a real impact in a growing market. How You’ll Make an Impact Deliver electrical designs and documentation, including layouts and circuit diagrams. Collaborate with control, mechanical, and project lead teams to meet project goals. Support assembly and site teams throughout the project lifecycle. Work with subcontractors, purchasing, and sales to align on requirements. Contribute to a culture of quality, improvement, and teamwork. What You Bring Degree in electrical engineering and several years of experience. Proficiency with Eplan, AutoCAD, SPICE, and customer documentation. Experience with power generation products; COMOS and SAP knowledge is a plus. Strong English communication skills. Team-oriented, driven, and focused on quality and customer satisfaction. This is a strong opportunity to work on utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, substations, transmission, and other high-voltage power projects across the country. In this role, you will support and lead a variety of interconnection and power system studies for renewable energy and grid infrastructure projects, while partnering closely with internal engineering teams and clients to deliver technically sound, high-quality solutions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys deep technical work, client interaction, and contributing to the integration of inverter-based resources onto the grid. What You’ll Be Doing * Lead and support interconnection and power system studies for utility-scale renewable and high-voltage power projects * Perform and review studies in PSSE, PSCAD, PSLF, ASPEN, PowerWorld, ETAP, SKM, CYME, EMTP, or similar tools * Conduct a range of analyses including: * Load flow * Short circuit * Dynamic analysis * Transient studies * Renewable model tuning * Fault analysis * Voltage and frequency ride-through evaluations * Grid disturbance and system performance assessments * Develop, review, and refine power system and renewable plant models for interconnection applications * Support model validation, benchmarking, quality checks, and parameter tuning to align with utility, ISO/RTO, and regional performance requirements * Evaluate and support projects across solar, wind, BESS, substations, transmission, and distribution * Prepare and review technical deliverables including study reports, design criteria, specifications, study documentation, scopes of work, and other engineering packages * Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, occasional site visits, and field walkdowns * Support proposal efforts, technical approach development, and estimating for new project opportunities * Ensure studies and engineering deliverables align with applicable codes, standards, utility requirements, and internal quality expectations * Stay current with regulatory changes, grid codes, ISO/RTO requirements, and evolving standards related to interconnections and inverter-based resources * Contribute to the improvement of internal workflows, tools, and methods that help streamline studies, model checks, and engineering efficiency What We’re Looking For * Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program * Strong experience supporting interconnection studies and power systems analysis * Experience with tools such as PSSE, PSCAD, PSLF, ASPEN, PowerWorld, ETAP, SKM, CYME, EMTP, or similar * Experience performing dynamic studies, model development, or renewable system analysis for high-voltage or utility-scale projects * Strong understanding of power system behavior, inverter-based resources, and grid interconnection requirements * Familiarity with ISO/RTO processes such as ERCOT, MISO, SPP, PJM, CAISO, or similar is a plus * Understanding of applicable standards such as NERC PRC/MOD, IEEE 2800, IEEE 1547, and other relevant interconnection requirements * PE license is a plus, but not required for the right candidate Pay Range - $100,000 - $180,000 base + bonus + benefits.
