Du kommer att arbeta inom affärsområdet Software & Cloud, där vi hjälper kunder att utveckla framtidssäkra dator- och mjukvarusystem – från inbyggda system och elektronik till datadrivna företagsapplikationer, AI och molnbaserade lösningar.

Delta i hela utvecklingscykeln: från kravanalys och design till implementation, test och vidareutveckling av mjukvarulösningar för produkter och system.
Skapa robusta och effektiva lösningar som används i tekniskt avancerade produkter inom Life Science, Medtech, försvar och fordonsindustri.
Designa, implementera och optimera kod i C#, Java, Kotlin eller C++ med fokus på kvalitet, prestanda och skalbarhet.
Samarbeta tvärfunktionellt med kollegor och ingenjörer från olika områden, såsom test, systemdesign och produktledning, för att lösa komplexa problem.
Erfarenhet av utveckling i C#, Java, Kotlin eller C++.
Utvecklingsmiljö: exempelvis Eclipse, Visual Studio eller IntelliJ.
Minst 5 års erfarenhet av mjukvaruutveckling.
Minst kandidatexamen inom ett relevant område.
Flytande svenska och engelska i tal och skrift.
Programmering i Python.
Utveckling med WPF.
Utveckling med Qt (C++ eller Python-bindningar).
Utveckling i Linux-miljöer.
Erfarenhet av utveckling inom fysiska produkter.

About the role We’re looking for a skilled and solution-driven Java Developer to join our Returns team. You’ll help build and evolve the heart of our post-purchase tools – allowing e-commerce websites to offer a smooth returns mechanism and help us ensure it runs reliably at scale. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be involved in everything from design and development to testing, deployment, and monitoring. About you You’re a team player who thrives in collaborative environments but also enjoy working independently when needed. With a structured and solution-oriented mindset, you like solving complex challenges and producing clean, high-quality code. Communication, curiosity, and a positive attitude are key strengths you bring to your work. Responsibilities · Design, develop, test, and release backend features for Returns in line with team and company guidelines. · Build and maintain integrations with e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, Magento, Centra) — including webhooks, authentication, and data imports. · Contribute to architecture and platform decisions (security frameworks, GDPR, architecture, monitoring, CI/CD tools). · Write clean, testable, and reusable code that is scalable and cost-efficient. · Work with modern practices such as code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/delivery. · Be an active member of an autonomous team, helping shape both the product and how we work. · Stay up to date with new technologies and proactively suggest improvements for performance and scalability. Required professional experience We are looking for both junior and senior backend engineers with experience in most of the following technologies: · Java · Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Data JPA / Hibernate) · PostgreSQL, including schema migration tooling (Liquibase or Flyway) · AWS (S3, SES, and related services) · CI/CD knowledge such as Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, Docker, etc. · Monitoring tools such as ELK stack or equivalent · Testing: unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), integration testing against mocked external services (WireMock, REST Assured), and performance testing (e.g. JMeter) Nice to have: · Designing and versioning public REST APIs (OpenAPI / Swagger) · Redis and caching strategies · E-commerce or post-purchase domain experience For senior candidates, we additionally value experience working in a large, long-lived codebase — carving out and building modern services alongside a monolith, and driving modernization without disrupting a system that merchants rely on every day. Our systems run fully automated and dispatch hundreds of MWs of flexible capacity to where the grid or market needs it most. As a Software Engineer, you will join a quant-heavy team of data scientists, optimization engineers and energy market experts. Your focus is the engineering side of these services: architecture, tooling, reliability, system interfaces, observability. This is a hands-on role - you will write code every day and own the standards and foundation the rest of the team builds on. What You'll Do Own the structure and quality of our optimization codebase - architecture, refactoring, testing - and set the engineering bar the team works to Ensure the optimization stack holds up as we scale our portfolio to GW-scale and new geographies Standardize what is currently bespoke, and decide what has to be rebuilt versus hardened Handle reliability and edge cases in the trading path, define graceful failure modes - for example, what should happen when a bid submission fails halfway through? Define interfaces towards other teams and take part in those discussions on behalf of the team Own our optimization environments, infosec hygiene & testing infra across our services Maintain and improve CI, deployments, observability and alerting Who You Are ~ 3–7 years of experience building and running software in production Fluent in Python and related tooling (uv, prek, ruff, ty, FastAPI, Pydantic, DuckDB) Experience managing quantitative models in production (simulation, optimization, heavy batch compute, ML workloads) Experience with AWS (Modal is a plus) Hands-on across the stack, from architecture down to repo settings, pipelines and environments, and the occasional internal frontend Solid instincts for system design and API boundaries, comfortable having these conversations with adjacent teams Pragmatic - you can tell a bad idea from a good one on your own, and you know when good enough is good enough Motivated to work in energy markets & in a trading environment 📍 Location Our beautiful office is located in the heart of Södermalm, just a short walk from Slussen subway station.
