About the Role As a Software Engineer, you will primarily work with Nordiska Embedded. We combine the best of two worlds - at our core, we’re a stable, regulated bank paired with a product-tech mentality that thrives on agility, curiosity, and innovation. As Nordiska expands into new markets, onboards new customers, builds new products and features - you work closely with the Tech Lead and Lead Engineer to set technical standards and ensure that the team’s output is robust, scalable, and secure. You’ll be an important part of modernizing systems, reducing technical debt, and are a key contributor to system architecture, complex feature development, and code quality. In addition to your technical work, you'll be a part of fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and being a part of a high-performing team, as we grow. In the role, you will: Drive engineering excellence by defining technical standards, system architecture, design principles, and long-term technology strategy for engineering excellence. Deliver high-impact features - implementing complex functionality that meets stringent performance, reliability, and security requirements. Drive initiatives that improve performance, enhance scalability, and reduce technical debt. Anticipate and resolve architectural bottlenecks, proactively preventing issues. Ensure best practices, clean code, testing/observability, and a culture of continuous learning. Ensure technical excellence through structured code reviews, consistent application of coding standards, and alignment with established best practices. Collaborate cross-functionally and work closely with Product and Engineering leadership to ensure technical execution supports strategic objectives. Your Professional Profile As a true self-leader, you take ownership and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. You communicate clearly, collaborate seamlessly across functions, and navigate confidently in a regulated context. You’ll contribute to a high-performing and humble team, bringing strong analytical skills and a proactive, solution-driven approach. We believe that you have: Mid- or senior-level depth in programming, frameworks, and system design in C#/.NET. Expertise in event-driven architecture (EDA) and Azure, with a strong interest in AI technologies considered an advantage. Hands-on expertise with architectural patterns, scaling strategies, performance optimization, security, scalability and resilience. Demonstrated capability to mentor others and lead by example. Proven track record of delivering high-quality, large-scale software systems. Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. As the Head of Strategy for Einride Autonomous Technologies, you will play a central leadership role in shaping the future of autonomous freight. In this broad and dynamic position, you will work closely with key decision-makers to drive our technology strategy forward, focusing on long-term technological initiatives and strategic partnerships. YOU WILL: Drive, define, and evolve the strategic roadmap. Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the Einride Autonomous Technologies to align technical initiatives with overall product goals and business objectives. Act as a strategic leader and senior advisor, guiding the overarching direction of autonomous development and next-gen advancements. Bridge the gap between deep technical engineering and overarching business strategy, ensuring initiatives are supported by robust frameworks and compliance roadmaps. WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE: Extensive experience in software architecture and technology, with a strong foundation in autonomous systems or complex software development. A proven track record of acting in a leading or mentoring capacity for engineering teams, with a focus on fostering innovation and technical excellence. Strong experience working with agile methodologies, compliance roadmaps, and establishing key performance metrics (KPIs). Deep understanding of lean engineering practices and how to implement them to enhance quality and reliability in next-gen software. Excellent collaborative and communicative skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
