COMPLIANCE, THREAT & RISK ASSESSMENT MANAGER The Threat & Risk Assessment (TRA) team strengthens Coinbase's global compliance risk management framework by leading enterprise-wide and targeted risk assessments for compliance and financial crime compliance. As a Compliance, Threat & Risk Assessment Manager, you'll sit at the intersection of compliance, governance, data, and cross-functional execution, translating complex financial crimes and regulatory risks into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders across Coinbase legal entities globally. What you'll do: * Manage enterprise-wide compliance risk assessments, including inherent risk identification, control evaluation, residual risk determination, and articulation of key findings and risk themes * Partner with MLROs, CCOs, and cross-functional stakeholders across Coinbase legal entities to deliver globally coordinated, locally relevant risk assessment outcomes * Produce risk assessment reports, executive summaries, and governance materials for senior leadership, risk forums, and regulatory audiences * Drive transaction monitoring and customer risk scoring coverage assessments and lead geographic risk rating updates ensuring ratings are current, risk-based, and operationally actionable * Develop a compliance threat assessment framework including governance, methodology, documentation standards, and ongoing maintenance * Pioneer AI-powered automation to scale assessment workflows, demonstrating high AI fluency while maintaining rigorous human judgment and oversight Required Skills and Experience: * 8+ years in compliance, financial crimes, or operational risk assessment within a regulated financial institution, fintech, or consulting firm * Demonstrated success independently leading large-scale risk assessments, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving cross-functional outcomes in ambiguous environments * Deep expertise in AML/CFT, sanctions, transaction monitoring, customer risk scoring, geographic risk assessment, and compliance risk management frameworks * Experience designing threat assessment frameworks, conducting TM/CRS coverage assessments, and leading geographic risk rating reviews across multi-entity or multi-jurisdictional compliance environments * Proven ability to produce executive-quality written communications, data analysis, and governance materials; proficiency in Excel, SQL, and AI platforms * Crypto-forward mindset with understanding of crypto products, services, and evolving ecosystem risks * Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality. Come make your mark. VICE PRESIDENT, LEGAL & COMPLIANCE We are seeking a Vice President to join our internal Legal & Compliance team. This position will ideally be based in our NYC or LA offices and is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week. WHAT YOU’LL DO: * Corporate, Commercial & Business Support  * Perform initial reviews of non-disclosure agreements and client agreements – including engagement letters, master consulting services agreements, and other documents – leveraging contract playbooks and legal AI tools to flag issues for attorney review * Collect, organize, and report information needed for client requests for proposal, vendor due diligence, and alliance partner onboarding * Support the office of the Chief Legal & Integration Officer, and the relevant business units, on M&A transactions and strategic corporate development initiatives * Employment Law * Draft various employment-related agreements, including offer letters, contractor agreements, and separation agreements * Utilize AI to streamline workflows within the employment law function * Stay current on the latest AI trends and other technological tools that may assist the legal department specifically as it relates to employment law * Work closely with the People Team on employment law matters * Assist with the drafting of employment-related company policies * Assist in investigations * Maintain awareness of laws, regulations, and trends in employment law * Assist in analyzing, drafting, and enforcement of restrictive covenants * Assist with day-to-day employment relations issues and legal advice and counsel * Legal & Compliance Operations and Project Management * Support the legal intake and request management process by reviewing incoming requests, clarifying request details, updating and configuring intake tools and processes, coordinating the assignment of legal and compliance projects, and providing project management support across the team * Partner closely with Associate General Counsels and other attorneys on the coordination and execution of legal projects, ensuring deadlines are met and workstreams stay on track * Assist with maintaining and updating Accordion’s document template library;
