About Us At Cloudflare, we are on a mission to help build a better Internet. Today the company runs one of the world’s largest networks that powers millions of websites and other Internet properties for customers ranging from individual bloggers to SMBs to Fortune 500 companies. Cloudflare protects and accelerates any Internet application online without adding hardware, installing software, or changing a line of code. Internet properties powered by Cloudflare all have web traffic routed through its intelligent global network, which gets smarter with every request. As a result, they see significant improvement in performance and a decrease in spam and other attacks. Cloudflare was named to Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top Company Cultures list and ranked among the World’s Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company. At Cloudflare, we’re not looking for people who wait for a polished roadmap; we’re looking for the builders who see the cracks in the Internet that everyone else has simply learned to live with. We value candidates who have the instinct to spot a "normalized" problem and the AI-native curiosity to create a solution using the latest tools. Our culture is built on iteration, leveraging AI to ship faster today to make it better tomorrow, while ensuring that every improvement, no matter how small, is shared across the team to lift everyone up. If you’re the type of person who values curiosity over bureaucracy, and that AI is a partner in solving tough problems to keep the Internet moving forward, you’ll fit right in. AVAILABLE LOCATIONS * Austin, US * New York, US * San Francisco, US ABOUT THE ROLE Cloudflare is looking for a Principal Strategy Manager, Developer GTM Growth to join the Developer Platform GTM team. This role partners directly with the Developer Growth leader to define, execute, and evolve how Cloudflare acquires, activates, and grows developers on the platform. You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, owning PAYGO operations and growth motions end to end. The Developer Platform is one of Cloudflare's fastest-growing businesses, spanning compute, storage, AI inference, media, and a growing ecosystem of developer tools. How developers discover, adopt, and scale their usage on the platform is changing rapidly, driven by AI, shifts in how software gets built, and an increasingly competitive market. This role is for someone who thrives in that environment: someone who can take a loosely defined problem, structure a plan, rally cross-functional partners, and drive measurable outcomes. You will own a mix of strategic and operational work across campaigns, strategic partnerships, program support, operations, and forecasting. The common thread is that you are the person who ensures things move forward, whether that means owning the outcome directly, incubating a motion, or reinventing the strategy and execution necessary to grow the business. This role reports to the Developer GTM Strategy & Incubation team. RESPONSIBILITIES GROWTH STRATEGY AND OPERATIONS * Partner with the growth team to operationalize how Cloudflare grows and scales its broader pay as you go business. * Own and manage the pay-as-you-go (PAYGO) forecast, identifying key levers and trends across all PAYGO products, surfacing risks and opportunities, and keeping leadership informed on trajectory. * Design and drive strategic campaigns aimed at increasing adoption, activation, and expansion across the platform. * Identify and act on growth levers across the customer journey, from sign up through production usage, partnering with product, marketing, finance, and data teams to improve conversion, retention, and expansion. * Help define how growth motions contribute to broader Cloudflare adoption, including usage growth across compute, storage, AI, security, networking, and adjacent pay as you go products. PROGRAMS AND PARTNERSHIPS * Partner with growth leaders on scaling strategic Cloudflare growth programs like Cloudflare for Student and Cloudflare for Startups, and Workers Launchpad. * Spearhead, negotiate, and operationalize strategic external partnerships with ecosystem players to grow developer mindshare, acquisition, and adoption. * Work with Product and Growth leadership to identify high value partnership opportunities and build the business case, deal structure, and execution plan to bring them to life. * Build partnership motions that can expand beyond a single product or program and support Cloudflare’s broader platform adoption. NARRATIVE-LED ADOPTION * Identify industry tailwinds and emerging developer behaviors, including AI agents, MCP servers, vibe coding, multi-tenant applications, and new application architectures, then translate them into actionable growth motions. * Work cross functionally with Technical Marketing, Developer Relations, Demand Generation, and Product to build and measure narrative based adoption strategies. * Track progress across Cloudflare’s product growth as well as broader developer workloads and use cases, identifying motions and patterns that drive durable PAYGO growth. * Socialize the stories and use cases that position Cloudflare as the default platform for how software is being built today, and partner with teams to bring those stories to market. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL EXECUTION AND INCUBATION * Serve as connective tissue across the Developer GTM organization, partnering with demand generation, events, brand, product marketing, and top of funnel owners to incubate new motions and improve existing ones. * Drive alignment across Growth, Product, Finance, Sales, Legal, and Engineering to ensure programs, investments, and operational processes are calibrated to shared objectives. * Take ownership of launching new motions or processes that need to be built from scratch, and place calculated bets where it makes sense. * Keep teams honest, on track, and unblocked. Facilitate operating rhythms, track commitments, surface risks, and escalate when needed. * Continuously rethink how the Growth team operates, bringing fresh perspectives on process, tooling, and organizational design as the market shifts. DESIRABLE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE * 6+ years of experience in growth strategy, GTM operations, business operations, or program management at a technology or SaaS company, with demonstrated ownership of cross-functional initiatives. * Experience operating in product-led growth (PLG) or developer-focused business environments. You understand how developers evaluate, adopt, and scale on platforms, and what it takes to build a growth engine around that behavior. * Strong operational instincts. You are comfortable wearing multiple hats simultaneously. * Proven ability to manage external partnerships, from identifying opportunities through negotiation, legal coordination, and launch. * Analytical and data-driven. You are comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets, dashboards, and using data to inform decisions, measure outcomes, and tell stories to leadership. * Excellent cross-functional communication. You will work daily with Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Legal, and Engineering. You drive alignment through clarity, not authority. * A builder mindset. You are energized by ambiguity and take ownership of problems before being asked. You do not wait for a playbook; you write one. * Fluency in the AI and developer ecosystem. You follow how developers are building with AI, understand the landscape of tools and platforms, and can translate market shifts into GTM strategy. * Experience incorporating AI tooling into your own workflows to accelerate analysis, automate processes, and improve decision-making. * Comfort operating with blurred lines of ownership. This role requires someone who can flex between strategy and execution, between leading and supporting, and between building something new and improving something that already exists. * Prior experience with developer platforms, infrastructure products, or consumption-based business models is a strong plus. * Background in product-led growth, management consulting, or operations is a plus. COMPENSATION Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. * For Bay Area based hires: Estimated annual salary of $196,000 - $260,000 * For NYC based hires: Estimated annual salary of $187,000 - $245,000 EQUITY This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan. This is Adyen Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition. For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster. About the role Agentic Commerce is the most significant shift in digital payments since mobile. We are moving from a world where humans click "buy" to a world where AI agents negotiate, book, and transact on our behalf. We are looking for a strategic commercial operator to help define and execute Adyen’s Go-to-Market strategy for this emerging channel. You will not just be selling a product, you will be building the playbook for how the world’s largest enterprises accept payments from AI agents. This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of Commercial GTM Strategy, Account Management, and Product. You will work closely with Adyen’s leadership to take our "Universal Translator" strategy to the market. What you’ll do * Define the Playbook: You will take our Agentic Commerce offering from "Pilot" to "Scale." This means identifying the right first-mover merchants, structuring the commercial approach, and creating the feedback loop between the market and our Product team. * Consult, Don’t Just Sell: You will act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders at our largest merchants, helping them navigate the hype, understand the infrastructure risks (fraud, identity), and architect their data feeds for the agentic economy. * Orchestrate the Ecosystem: You will be the commercial bridge between our merchants and the major AI platforms (OpenAI, Google, etc.), ensuring Adyen remains the neutral connector in a fragmented ecosystem. * Enable the Organization: You will turn your learnings into a GTM engine, collaborating with marketing to train our wider Sales and Account Management teams to speak fluently about tokens, LLMs, and agentic protocols. * Protect the Merchant: You will champion our "Merchant-First" principles, ensuring that as protocols evolve, they prioritize merchant control, data privacy, and liability protection. * The Innovation Lab: You will be operating in the epicenter of the AI boom. Your focus will be on securing and managing high-velocity pilots with US-based AI platforms (San Francisco/Seattle/New York). * Speed to Market: You will help our largest US enterprise merchants (Retail, Mobility, Platforms) launch their first "Instant Checkout" use cases, moving quickly to capture early market share. Who you are * A Strategic Builder: You are comfortable working with ambiguity. You don't need a finished brochure to have a commercial conversation; you can co-create a solution with a client. * Commercially Sharp: You have a track record of navigating complex enterprise organizations and driving strategic initiatives that result in real volume, not just press releases. * Technically Fluent: You can explain the difference between a Network Token and a Virtual Card to a CFO, and debate API schemas with a Product Manager. You understand the nuances of the payments stack. * Curious about AI infrastructure: You are not an ML engineer, but you follow how agentic systems are evolving - agentic frameworks, how AI agents make decisions and initiate transactions. Familiarity with emerging agent protocols and how model providers are approaching commerce is a plus. * Anti-Hype: You cut through the noise. You focus on solving real operational problems (inventory visibility, authentication, liability) rather than selling science fiction. * Collaborative: You thrive in a flat structure. You will be working closely across Commercial, Product, Legal, and Partnerships teams to clear hurdles, resolve challenges in real-time. * Experience: 6-8 years of experience in commercial-facing or GTM strategy roles. Previous experience in payments or financial technology is a plus Why now? Agentic commerce is in its infrastructure phase. The protocols, standards, and commercial models are being written and tested right now. In this role, you won't be executing an established playbook, you will be authoring it. Adyen processes payments for many of the world's largest, most sophisticated enterprises, which means the decisions we make here will shape how AI-initiated transactions work at scale, not just in theory. The annual base salary range for this role is $190,000 - $240,000 + RSUs. To learn more about our compensation philosophy, please click here. Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. This diversity of backgrounds and cultures is essential in helping us maintain our momentum. Our business and technical challenges are unique, and we need as many different voices as possible to join us in solving them - voices like yours. No matter who you are or where you’re from, we welcome you to be your true self at Adyen. Studies show that women and members of underrepresented communities apply for jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. Does this sound like you? If so, Adyen encourages you to reconsider and apply. We look forward to your application! What’s next? Ensuring a smooth and enjoyable candidate experience is critical for us. We aim to get back to you regarding your application within 5 business days. Our interview process tends to take about 4 weeks to complete, but may fluctuate depending on the role. Learn more about our hiring process here. Don’t be afraid to let us know if you need more flexibility. Adyen is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate based on race, color, ethnicity, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, marital status or any legally protected status. All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
