As a Controls & Automation Engineer at ISAR, you will be deeply involved in building and maintaining all kinds of test benches,
test sites and launch sites for subcomponent testing up to launching rockets. This will include planning, developing and
commissioning of the required control systems (Beckhoff PLC & TwinCAT 3), followed by full lifecycle support, including
troubleshooting and upgrading systems.

Mission Brief As a Software Engineer in the Ground Control Systems team, you will contribute directly to the development and maintenance of critical libraries and tools for our in-house software. You will work on software that operates hardware and real missions, where correctness, robustness, and clarity truly matter. This role offers the opportunity to shape foundational systems used across teams, balancing clean architecture with real‑time and operational constraints. Your work will be utilized in aiding the development of new aerospace technologies and platforms. Your Role in Our Space Mission: * Implement and maintain modular control system libraries and reusable software components in Python, C#, TwinCAT.. * Contribute to real‑time system code running on RTOS environments, including sensor/actuator interaction. * Develop and support driver‑level and HAL‑layer software. * Help design and implement system interaction logic and state-machine‑based behaviors. * Build simulation tools, and testing frameworks to support software validation. * Work cross‑functionally with hardware engineers, PLC engineers, and UX teams to ensure coherent, safe system behavior. Your Mission As a member of the Ground Fluid Systems Team, you will be assisting the team in the design and project work around ground facilities used for launching rockets, testing rocket engines or other components of the launch vehicle. Qualification Checklist * Enrolled in a Bachelor/Master in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. * Fluent in English * Familiar with Python and/or NET.
