DEINE AUFGABEN appliedAI’s Internal AI team sits at the heart of how we bring AI into the real world — keeping the infrastructure that powers our internal tools and partner-facing AI products running reliably and at scale. As a working student (m/f/x), you’ll join a small team of experienced engineers who care deeply about operational quality and are happy to share what they know. This is a hands-on role where you’ll build practical intuition for production AI systems while contributing meaningfully from day one. YOUR MISSION Your mission As a Working Student, you will support the development, testing, and deployment of a local controller for our charging parks. In this role, you will work closely with technical teams and gain hands-on experience in a highly relevant field at the intersection of electric mobility, software, and charging infrastructure. Your key responsibilities include: * Supporting the development of a local controller for charging parks * Assisting in the testing and validation of controller functionalities * Supporting the deployment and configuration of the controller in local environments * Helping analyze technical issues and contributing to troubleshooting activities * Assisting with documentation of development, testing, and deployment processes * Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and efficient operation * Managing administrative and office-related duties as needed, such as handling incoming mail and coordinating reorders of goods and materials. YOUR PROFILE Your profile * Enrolled student (f/m/x) in electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering, or a similar technical degree * Good technical understanding and strong interest in software and hardware-related development * Practical experience with Linux environments * Programming skills are a plus * Structured, reliable, and independent way of working * Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills * Good communication and team skills * Good English skills, both written and spoken * Availability for at least 6 months, part-time up to 20h/week
YOUR MISSION Support team in various areas such as: * Competitor Analysis & Pricing Intelligence * Research and monitor competitor pricing across European EV charging markets * Prepare structured overviews and benchmarks to support pricing decisions for IONITY * App Documentation & Benchmarking * Document IONITY app features, user flows, and release updates in Confluence and internal wikis * Conduct structured benchmarking of competitor apps against IONITY's digital product — identifying gaps and opportunities to improve the customer journey * KPI Reporting * Support the preparation of regular KPI reports, consolidating data from PowerBI dashboards and other internal sources * Flag unusual patterns and help translate performance data into actionable insights for the team * Support Charging Card Handling * Assist with operational tasks related to the IONITY charging card, including order management, issuance tracking, and coordination with relevant internal stakeholders * Tariff Configuration * Support the configuration and maintenance of tariffs (IONITY Go, IONITY Motion, IONITY Power) in our backend systems * Prepare configuration files and support quality-checking of tariff data ahead of go-live * CX Review Management * Collect, structure, and analyse customer reviews and feedback from sources such as app stores and customer satisfaction surveys * Summarise key themes and present insights to support the team's customer experience agenda YOUR PROFILE * Currently studying towards a university degree in Management Economics, Business Management, IT, Engineering or similar fields.Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint). * Best case: First knowledge gained in Jira, confluence and mobile app development. * Knowledge of e-mobility and charging industry * Good communication skills. * Fluent in English/German is required. * A good analytical thinking and customer focused. * Be a highly motivated self-starter with a flexible, can-do attitude. * Availability for a minimum of 12 months.
