Bullarbyn Bageri is a small, artisanal international bakery in Malmö, where we showcase different home-style European baking traditions with focus on quality of ingredients, taste and execution. We are located in central Malmö (Rörsjöstaden).
Because of an increasing demand for our pastries we are looking for a talented pastry chef/baker. We are looking for someone who is passionate about artisanal baking and creating pastries from organic, artisanal ingredients.
We are looking for an experienced, passionate and curious person, that is really willing to develop the place with us and learn together. We’re looking for someone that has at least 2 years of experience in different types of leavened pastries (laminated is a must), creams and techniques. A sourdough bread baking knowledge will be a plus. It is a must that a candidate speaks fluent english and is a good communicator. Ideal candidate for us has a positive spirit and attitude towards working, is bursting with ideas and wants to bring them to the table. It is important to remember that this job is fast-paced and requires a good discipline.
We are offering 75%-100% position (5 days a week) with a salary adjusted to the experience. The work includes weekends, in rotation and cooperation with the head baker. The salary can be higher, depending on experience of the candidate. We would love to offer an unlimited time contract, with optional 3-months trial period.

$15.00 - $19.23 PER HOUR GENERAL PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to maintain quality standards and product levels of all pastry products in the Bakery in addition to training other Pastry Chefs. This person will be preparing, cooking, mixing, baking, assembling, packaging, labeling, and decorating pastries; ordering, receiving, and storing product; determining production and inventory levels, and providing exceptional customer service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures * Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the Bakery provides * Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the Bakery * Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items * Ensures the Bakery is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance * Delivers excellent customer service to all customers * Follows production sheets to ensure appropriate inventory levels of Harmons’ pastries * Ensures the correct amount of ingredients and supplies are in stock * Prepares, cooks, bakes, assembles, and decorates pastries for sale and to keep as back-stock * Communicates openly and frequently with Store Director and Bakery Manager MARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other job-related duties as assigned. The Baking Supervisor is responsible for the production of all pastries, desserts, and baked goods, often in a high volume, while leading and coaching the baking team. The role of the Baking Supervisor at the Stratford Festival is to provide our Guests, Members, Staff and Company with an excellent dining experience while supporting the broader culinary team. This position reports to the Executive Chef and takes direction from the Associate Director, Food & Beverage or other Café & Catering Managers. Responsibilities: * Leadership * Supervise, coach and delegate duties to Bakers and other culinary team members * Assist in menu development in collaboration with Executive and Sous Chefs * Coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house as needed. * Communicate effectively with team members regarding inventory, workflow, or customer requests * Shift Management * Monitor catering clipboards; being aware of upcoming events * Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, report shortages to supervisor. * Rotate ingredients and baked items to minimize waste and maintain freshness. * Organize storage areas and assist with inventory counting as needed * Receive, inspect, and store deliveries in accordance with food safety standards. * Clean and maintain equipment regularly, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs. * Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment, cleaning the kitchen throughout the shift, and replenishing stock as necessary. * Daily Activities * Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods. * Transport food to various locations, as required. * Follow recipes and formulas accurately for consistency and quality. * Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other bakery equipment. * Shape, roll, and cut dough to prepare for baking. * Operate bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, induction stoves, and scales. * Inspect finished products for uniformity, texture, and appearance. * Ensure products are labeled and displayed attractively, where applicable. * General * Follow all organizational and governmental health/safety standards at all times * Maintain a clean and tidy appearance at all times, adhering to established uniform standards * Adhere to the Stratford Festival Health & Safety Commitment and Procedures and ensure that safe work practices and policies are supported and enforced within reporting structure. * Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: * Post-secondary diploma program, typically a two year program, or equivalent, (i.e. Community college, Technical Institute or Trade School, etc.) in pastry arts * 1 to 2 years of related experience in a supervisory role * Valid Drivers license is required * Previous supervisory experience is an asset * Experience working in a fast-paced food service environment * Safe Food Handlers Certification * Flexible availability to work a variety of operating hours including evenings, weekends and holidays * Reliable transportation to and from work * Proficiency in English: verbal and written communication * Preference will be given to candidates with a culinary based education and/or previous work experience in the areas of baking and pastry work.
