DEPT® is a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. We’re 50|50 tech and marketing, partner-led, and first to move. Clients include Google, Lufthansa, Meta, eBay, and OpenAI. We have been certified B Corp and Climate Neutral since 2021. At DEPT®, we create social-first content that helps brands stay culturally relevant while remaining true to their identity. For a new premium client team, we are looking for a Social Video Creative & Editor with a strong eye for quality, craftsmanship and storytelling. This role is different from a typical social content position. While platform expertise and trend awareness remain important, we're looking for someone who understands how to create social content for premium brands. Someone who knows that not every trend is worth following, and that great social content can be both culturally relevant and visually refined. You'll be joining a multidisciplinary team of strategists, creatives, producers and account managers helping shape the social presence of one of the world's most respected premium brands. JOB PURPOSE First and foremost, you're a highly skilled video creator and editor. Premiere Pro is your second language, and you understand how editing, pacing, sound design and motion can elevate a story on social media. But we're looking for more than technical expertise. You have a strong sense of aesthetics and understand what distinguishes premium brands from mass-market brands. You know how to create content that feels polished, intentional and aspirational, while still being native to social platforms. You may have worked with luxury, premium lifestyle, design, interiors, hospitality, fashion, automotive or consumer electronics brands before. You understand how to balance brand guidelines with platform behaviour and know that quality often lives in the details. You are naturally curious about culture and social media, but you don't chase trends blindly. Instead, you know how to translate trends, insights and platform behaviour into content that feels authentic to the brand. As a Social Video Creative & Editor, you'll be responsible for creating social-first content that combines platform relevance with premium execution. Your primary focus will be shooting and editing content, but you'll also play an active role in concept development and creative ideation. From product-focused storytelling and creator collaborations to behind-the-scenes content and social campaigns, you'll help shape how the brand shows up across social channels. You'll work closely with strategists, creatives and producers to ensure every piece of content is both culturally relevant and visually exceptional. This role requires a strong understanding of: * Visual storytelling * Premium brand aesthetics * Social-first content creation * Mobile-first production * Platform behaviour and audience engagement WHAT YOU’LL DO * Create and edit high-quality short-form video content for social platforms. * Shoot social-first content with a strong eye for composition, lighting and detail. * Translate brand strategy into engaging social content. * Contribute to creative concepts and content ideas. * Ensure all content reflects the premium positioning and visual standards of the brand. * Stay informed on relevant cultural and platform developments and translate them into opportunities for the brand. WHAT YOU BRING * Fluent English (written and spoken) * Advanced editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro. * Experience with Adobe After Effects and motion graphics. * Strong shooting skills using both mobile and professional camera equipment. * Good understanding of lighting, sound and production workflows. * Proven experience creating content for premium, luxury or design-led brands. * Strong visual taste and attention to detail. * Ability to translate trends into brand-appropriate content. * Experience developing social-first concepts and content formats. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment. * Excellent collaboration and communication skills. * A genuine interest in design, innovation, lifestyle and premium consumer brands. Nice to have: * Experience within luxury, premium lifestyle, interiors, hospitality, automotive, fashion or consumer electronics brands. * Experience working with creators and influencers. * Photography skills. * Experience with colour grading and premium post-production workflows. * Up to date on the latest ai innovations in your field WE OFFER * A flexible, hybrid working policy (2-3 days from the office, depending on location) and the opportunity to work from abroad for 13 weeks a year. * 24 vacation days per year and the possibility to buy an unlimited number of extra vacation days. * DEPT®/YOU Learning Menu and DEPT®/YOU Special Programs. Develop your skills with courses and programs tailored to your needs. * Stay happy and healthy with a contribution to your health through the OpenUp platform, gym and wellness discounts, and healthy lunches at the office. * Get a discount on your lease bike and ride in style. You can also enjoy hassle free-commutes with an NS Business Card. * A reputation for doing good. DEPT® has been a Certified B Corp® since 2021, has been named a Great Place To Work since 2022 in the Netherlands and named ‘Agency of the Year’ at both The Lovies and The Webby Awards. * Awesome clients. Whether big, small, local or global — at DEPT® you’ll get the opportunity to work with all of them. And we celebrate all of our successes together! * You can discover even more employee benefits here. WHY DEPT®? We are a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, we create what is next by pioneering ideas, acting fast, and moving further because standing still just is not in our DNA. We are drawn to people who stay curious, move with intent, and never stop inventing. Our culture runs on three values: better together, relentlessly curious, and get sh*t done. It is how we work, how we grow, and how we make things that matter. At DEPT®, you will find the freedom to explore, the space to collaborate, and the trust to make a real impact for our clients, for each other, and for the world we are helping to build. DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION At DEPT®, we take pride in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. We actively seek to recruit, develop, nurture, and retain talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, with varying skills and perspectives. Not sure you meet all qualifications? Apply, and let us decide! Research shows that women and members of underrepresented groups tend not to apply for jobs when they think they may not meet every requirement, when in fact they do. We believe in giving everyone a fair chance to shine. We also encourage you to reach out to us and discuss any reasonable adjustments we can make to support you throughout the recruitment process and your time with us. MORE THAN A JOB We are looking for a sharp, detail-obsessed Video Editor to join our team. This isn’t just about making things look good; it’s about making next-generation video work at scale. You will be a central engine in our Design as a Service (DaaS) setup, leveraging the latest AI tools and traditional editing techniques to deliver high-quality, high-volume video assets that fuel the marketing performance of our Northern European clients. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where rapid technological evolution meets creativity, and you know how to balance "prompt-to-pixel" execution with "delivered on time," this is for you. WHAT YOU'LL DO Your primary focus will be supporting our DaaS model, ensuring a smooth, continuous flow of AI-enhanced creative output. You will act as a direct extension of our clients' in-house teams, turning briefs, prompts, and raw assets into polished visual communication. * Fuel the DaaS Engine: Execute a steady stream of diverse video tasks sequentially. You will handle everything from AI-generated performance marketing campaigns (social video ads, Reels, TikToks, AI avatars) to traditional motion branding assets. * Direct & Agile Communication: Our workflow lives where our clients live. You will receive briefs, share drafts, and communicate daily via Slack, making quick and clear communication just as important as the generation and edit itself. * Master the Feedback Loop: Our model promises unlimited revisions until the client is 100% satisfied. You need to be highly adaptable, implementing feedback quickly - whether that means re-prompting an AI tool or tweaking a timeline - efficiently, and without ego. * Visual Problem Solving: Translate fast-paced briefs into functional, visually compelling AI-driven video narratives that capture attention in the first 3 seconds and drive conversions. * Systematic Editing: Work across multiple client portfolios, strictly adhering to diverse brand guidelines. You understand that consistency in AI generation, pacing, grading, and motion is key in a service model. * Continuous Evolution: Stay ahead of the curve by mastering bleeding-edge AI generation tools (e.g., Higgsfild, Claude, Heygen, Submagic, Elvenlabs), emerging AI workflows, and audio-visual styles to ensure our clients' content always feels native to the platform. EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING We are looking for a Medior-level Video Editor who has a solid foundation in traditional post-production but is explicitly curious about where the industry is heading. You don’t need to be an AI engineer, but you do need to be someone who looks at new software and thinks, "How can I use this to work smarter?" * The Portfolio: A strong body of work demonstrating not just creative editing, but commercial awareness and AI integration. We want to see videos that sell, inform, and engage, highlighting your ability to use AI tools to elevate the final product. * The Toolkit: You’ve already started playing around with modern generative tools (whether that’s experimenting with AI audio, playing with tools like Higgsfild, Claude, Heygen, Submagic, Elvenlabs) combined with a mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects. * The System Mindset: You understand the intersection of prompt engineering and performance-driven editing. You work fast, you rigorously organize your project files and generations, and you pay deep attention to the details. * The Experience: 2+ years of experience, ideally within an agency or a fast-paced in-house team. Experience with volume-based content creation, or subscription-based models is a massive plus. * Communication: Fluent in English (our corporate language) with the ability to articulate prompting strategies, pacing, and editing decisions clearly. WHAT WILL YOU BE A PART OF Obsidian is a performance marketing agency with a Nordic heart. We are a collective of around 430 colleagues spread across Copenhagen, Aarhus, Aalborg, Helsinki, Leipzig, Hamburg, Banja Luka, and Podgorica. We don't do micromanagement. We believe in autonomy, trust, and supporting you to bring your authentic self to work. You will be part of a culture that values results over bureaucracy and creativity over rigid processes. WHAT'S ON OFFER * A collaborative and friendly team that’s passionate about creating the best AI-driven solutions for our clients. * Career growth opportunities as you and the company evolve at the forefront of AI marketing. * Free access to sports activities and a variety of social events. * Discounts on a range of products from our clients. HOW TO APPLY If you’re ready to take the next step in your video editing career and make a real impact on the future of AI-driven content, we want to hear from you! Please include your CV and a link to your showreel or a portfolio highlighting your commercial AI and digital video work. Got questions?
