Your future role within QRT: The successful candidate will join the global infrastructure team at QRT and you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the QRT Network Infrastructure and Automations for the firm. We implement a strict IAC (Infrastructure as Code) mindsight at QRT, and therefore it is crucial that any candidates must be able to demonstrate operation of complex infrastructure at scale, which have been delivered through a software and automation driven mindset. The team will be focused on maintaining the service availability, reliability, and security of the platform. Developing observability tooling, self-healing/event driven automations, and performing troubleshooting activities. Providing on-going support and operational improvements for existing network infrastructure, whilst building our capability to operate a high-performance compute datacentre. Your present skillsets: * Experience monitoring and resolving incidents across Low Latency LAN, Datacentre LAN, WAN transit, and Internet /cloud connectivity. * Expert troubleshooting skills of network infrastructure and collaborating with vendor support teams when required to perform deep investigation. * Oversight and development of monitoring dashboards, responding proactively to alerts with appropriate level of priority. Taking responsibility for continuous improvement of alerting and the overall observability stack. * Running post incident reviews finding opportunities to improve the availability and reliability of our infrastructure offerings. * Delivery of BAU changes through automation wherever possible, working with research and other infrastructure engineering teams in a highly collaborative manner. * Perform trend analysis using various data sources aiming to seek out potential issues, improve correlation and finding capacity concerns. * Defining SLOs to ensure the high availability of network services and infrastructure. * Ability to provide considerable support of network automation and associated tooling such as CI/CD pipelines, orchestration, Ansible, Python, GitOps practices, amongst others. * Be responsible for releasing into production environments by providing high quality reviews of merges and scheduled pushes of changes/features/capabilities. * Initiative to find opportunities to automate high frequency tasks. Leading the effort to deliver a solution alongside Network Engineering, Infra Automation/DevOps and across functions. * You will have good knowledge of infrastructure metric collection and visualisation tooling such as Kibana, Splunk, Prometheus and Grafana. * You will stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our automation and practices remains cutting-edge. * Clear networking knowledge at Cisco CCNP level either through demonstrable experience, or verifiable qualifications. The Enterprise Infrastructure team is responsible for designing, operating, and evolving QRT’s global enterprise technology platforms. The team ensures the reliability, security, and scalability of core infrastructure services, including enterprise networking, that support corporate systems, identity platforms, collaboration tools, and shared technology services across regions. You will work closely with Infrastructure, Security, Workplace Technology, and Architecture teams. Your Future Role within QRT You will: * Define and drive the enterprise network strategy aligned with firm-wide technology objectives * Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of global enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, data centre, and cloud connectivity) * Own network availability, performance, and resilience, including redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery capabilities * Establish and manage network SLAs, SLOs, performance metrics, and incident response processes * Drive automation across network provisioning, configuration management, and compliance * Promote Infrastructure-as-Code and standardisation of network configurations across environments * Partner with Security teams to enforce network segmentation, access controls, and secure design principles * Collaborate with Application, Workplace Technology, and Architecture teams on connectivity and integration requirements * Lead and mentor network engineers across regions, setting standards and best practices * Manage vendor relationships, including network hardware, telecom providers, and service partners * Oversee capacity planning, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of network platforms Your Present Skillset * 10+ years’ experience in network engineering, including leadership responsibility in enterprise environments * Strong expertise in enterprise networking technologies (routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) * Experience with WAN technologies, including MPLS, SD-WAN, and internet-based architectures * Hands-on knowledge of data centre and campus network design (e.g., spine-leaf, high availability architectures) * Experience with network security principles (segmentation, firewalls, VPNs, zero trust concepts) * Familiarity with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP connectivity and hybrid network design) * Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform) applied to network infrastructure * Strong understanding of network monitoring, observability, and performance optimisation tools * Proven experience operating global network environments with high availability requirements * Experience working within regulated or controlled environments * Ability to lead distributed teams and drive network transformation initiatives * Structured, risk-aware approach to decision-making with strong ownership * Clear communication skills and ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders QRT is an equal opportunity employer. FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE The Cloud Engineering Team builds cloud-based solutions, supports the cloud platform and helps to drive its adoption and expansion while also collaborating with other teams. Within the Cloud Engineering team, the IT & Systems Support team looks after the on-prem IT infrastructure, corporate networks and end-user computing setups. The primary function of this position is to act as the go-to person for internal IT support (1st and 2nd line), keeping our on-site hardware, operating systems and active directory services running smoothly whilst delivering excellent internal customer service. The primary function of this position will be to collaborate with a tight-knit team for the successful management and maintenance of IT systems and services to ensure that the production services perform effectively, while maintaining a high level of internal customer satisfaction. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimising key functional areas, particularly server, network and on-prem infrastructure. You will troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and process problems in a timely and effective fashion.
