Full-Stack Software Engineer at Ameba Engineering at Ameba is a rare opportunity to build cutting-edge software in a traditional industry, while being generously rewarded for your contributions. If you’ve never considered working in supply chains before, everything around you, including the device you're reading this on, has a story of how it got there. Raw material to finished product, that story is the supply chain. If the unseen machinery of the world sparks something in you, we'd love to talk! We're a startup made up of experienced entrepreneurs (who have previously raised $160m+) and builders (ex-Meta, Palantir, Microsoft, Quant Devs, UnlikelyAI). We have big ambitions and are backed by some of the most successful investors in Europe. We’ve raised over $9M since our launch just over a year ago. Your Role as a Full-Stack Engineer As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our CTO and engineering team to design, build, and launch products from conception to launch. This involves working across the entire stack — from front-end (written in React/TypeScript), back-end (written in Kotlin and Python), machine learning (agentic workflows, entity matching), to infrastructure (AWS, Docker). Working at a startup so early, it's common to kick off a feature on Monday, and have users use it on Friday. You should be comfortable working with these tight feedback loops and long to build a product that users love. Don't worry if you lack experience in any of these areas - your application is still welcome! Life at Ameba We pride ourselves on providing top-of-market salaries and generous equity packages to all employees. We're assembling a lean team of exceptionally talented individuals and aim to reward them accordingly. * We enjoy collaborating together in the office, typically five days a week, for easy, high-bandwidth conversations. While we provide flexibility to work from home when necessary, our primary focus at this early stage is creating a strong office-first experience. * We offer 28 holiday days per year, and we shut down entirely over the holiday season for 2 weeks, allowing everyone to disconnect completely. * We provide four months of maternity and paternity leave at 100% salary. * We offer comprehensive healthcare and dental cover. * The salary range for this role is £80,000-£130,000 + generous equity. The salary for this position is determined by several factors, such as experience, relevant skills, business needs, or market demands. * You will have the opportunity (if you want it) to visit customers at their place of work, both in the UK and outside it! We currently work with customers in Portugal, the Netherlands, and more. Qualifications Essential: * Minimum 3 years of experience as a software engineer. * 2+ years of experience with React/TypeScript and an Object-Oriented Programming Language (Java, Scala, Kotlin, C#, C++). * Proven experience in building and shipping software, involving collaboration with other engineers, designers, product managers, and users to identify and implement solutions based on customer needs. * 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems. Desirable: * Undergraduate or Masters degree in Computer Science (or related fields). * Experience with AWS and Docker. * Interest in AI, and familiarity with building LLM-based agents. * Exposure to contract-first development (OpenAPI, gRPC/Protocol Buffers). * Ability to design scalable and efficient system architectures. * Ability to navigate rapidly changing priorities in a growing startup environment. * [Optional] Previous experience working at a startup or a keen interest in startups

Our Vision: At Neo4j, we have always strived to help the world make sense of data. As business, society and knowledge become increasingly connected, our technology promotes innovation by helping organizations to find and understand data relationships. We created, drive and lead the graph database category, and we’re disrupting how organizations leverage their data to innovate and stay competitive. THE ROLE Neo4j is the leader in graph analytics, and our cloud platform is at the heart of powering data-driven innovation for thousands of users worldwide. We are on the lookout for versatile Full-Stack Engineers to help us design and build exceptional features that lower the bar for users to perform graph analytics. In this role, you will own the user-facing surface of those products. You'll help new users get to value quickly by reducing friction in their first workflows, and make our internal tooling effective enough that the rest of the team can support and operate the service confidently. You will work closely with our internal design system at neo4j.design, and collaborate across product, design, backend, and SRE to ship cohesive, end-to-end experiences. This is a mid-to-senior role at the intersection of product UX, graph analytics, and cloud data platforms. WHAT WE VALUE We’re looking for engineers with experience in both frontend and backend development. You should have experience designing APIs, implementing data persistence, and integrating with third-party services. Familiarity with automated testing approaches, from unit testing to full-stack integration tests, is important. A willingness to learn, grow, and tackle new challenges as part of a distributed and collaborative team is essential. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering impactful features that enhance how users interact with Neo4j Aura graph analytics. You’ll work on everything from user-friendly interfaces to robust back-end systems, ensuring our solutions are scalable, reliable, and adaptable to diverse user needs. * Build and evolve the Aura Graph Analytics user experience inside the Neo4j Aura console. * Develop and maintain the in-app GUI for the Neo4j Graph Analytics App for Snowflake, an application that guides users through a multi-step workflow: selecting Snowflake data, projecting them as graphs, configuring and running algorithms, and writing back. * Design the graph-projection and algorithm-configuration UX for users who are not graph experts: clear workflow steps, sensible defaults, validation, and interactive previews of sampled graphs. * Improve the internal support tooling used to inspect the state of Aura Graph Analytics deployments and diagnose customer issues. * Use our shared design system (neo4j.design) so our products feel like one family. * Partner closely with product, design, backend, and SRE to ship cohesive end-to-end experiences across team boundaries. WHAT YOU'LL BRING * Experience building and shipping production-quality software. * Strong TypeScript / JavaScript skills and significant frontend experience in production codebases. * Solid experience with React and modern frontend tooling (such as Tailwind). * Comfort collaborating with designers in Figma (or similar tools) and translating designs into accessible, responsive UI. * A user-centric mindset and a genuine interest in product UX, not just shipping components. * Experience creating API services in Golang, Java or Python BONUS POINTS * Experience working with Spotify’s Backstage framework. * Familiarity with graph data, graph algorithms, or data-science workflows. * Experience with Python-based UI tooling such as Streamlit and AnyWidget. * Experience with Snowflake, Snowpark, and building UIs that run inside a Snowflake Native App. #LI-Hybrid Why Join Neo4j? A World-Changing Company Palantir builds the world’s leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more. The Role Palantir Foundry is an end-to-end platform for data-driven decision-making. We're transforming the way organisations securely integrate their data, so they can then build reliable, critical applications atop that unified foundation. Our customers use Foundry to perform rich analyses that drive core operations within their organisations. They can also build sophisticated, full-fledged programs, such as common operating pictures, alert-triaging inboxes, and resource allocation planning tools driven by rich-ML models. As a Full Stack Engineer focused on application development in Foundry, you will be responsible for crafting the tools used by thousands of users to build the sophisticated applications that power their businesses. You will be architecting and developing interfaces, state management and access patterns to support data-intensive workflows that are both powerful and approachable. You may spend one day interviewing users to better understand their needs and identifying product gaps to improve. The next day, you might find yourself considering that customer context along with signal gathered from other customers in different industries, brainstorming approaches to handling intricate UX needs with your teammates. You’ll regularly be faced with sophisticated technical problems, requiring you to scope out the solution design and finding an incremental path to shipping the new features. As part of this, you will own APIs and schemas that power your frontend code, or work with other backend engineers in developing them together. We're hiring engineers who are passionate about solving real-world problems and empowering both customer app builders and end-users to do their work optimally. Below are some examples of the types of product work you’d get to do in this role: Frontline Foundry Software Engineers may be offered the opportunity to Frontline, an exclusive program unlike any other. This unique, short-term assignment involves being embedded with customers, allowing you to work directly with users and gain firsthand insight into how our products are used and the challenges our customers face. Unlike traditional engineering roles, Frontline immerses you in complex, ambiguous problems, empowering you to deliver impactful solutions across some of the world’s most important industries and institutions. Some of our most successful products were built on the factory floor, addressing real-world problems for the world's most important institutions. These products were developed by some of our most successful product engineers, who began their careers in roles aligned with Frontline responsibilities, gaining a deep understanding of both our technology and our customers. Frontliners operate across a broad spectrum of responsibilities, much like a startup CTO. They work in small teams to own the end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects. This spectrum ranges from discussing architecture and building custom web apps to conducting workshops with users and strategizing with customer executives. No two days are alike, as each day is diverse and impactful. By witnessing how customers engage with Foundry and experiencing these pain points firsthand, you’ll gain unique insights that feed directly back into our development process, helping to refine and enhance our products. After your frontline rotation is complete, you will return to your regular role where you can apply the experience and understanding you’ve gained.
