LEAD SOLUTION ENGINEER - DACH & NORDICS ABOUT NEURAL CONCEPT Engineering is at an inflection point. The teams defining the next generation of aircraft, electric vehicles, and consumer products are not just designing faster — they are designing fundamentally differently, with AI embedded at the core of their workflows. Neural Concept builds the Engineering AI platform that makes this possible. We help the world's leading engineering teams accelerate development, improve product outcomes, and scale engineering capacity — turning months of simulation into days, and engineering intuition into data-driven insight. We work with elite engineering teams in Automotive, Aerospace, High-Tech and Electronics, and advanced manufacturing, where the stakes are high, the complexity is rising, and the pressure to innovate has never been greater. We are changing how engineers work. Come build that future with us. ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a leader who combines deep technical understanding of engineering workflows with the strategic vision and influence to drive large-scale AI transformation in some of the world's most sophisticated engineering organizations. This role sits at the intersection of technical credibility and commercial strategy. As SE Lead, you will own the pre-sales motion on the region's most strategic accounts — leading discovery, shaping transformation plans alongside Sales, and delivering the technical vision that convinces both engineers and executives that NC is the right long-term partner. You will also build and develop the regional SE team, setting the bar for what excellent pre-sales work looks like: rigorous discovery, technically grounded statements of work, and demos that don't just impress but inspire confidence in a real engineering future. Your work will directly shape how Neural Concept wins in the region. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Position NC as a long-term strategic partner and trusted engineering advisor on the region's most strategic accounts, building trusted relationships with engineering leadership and senior stakeholders * Lead structured discovery sessions on strategic accounts, framing use cases that are technically feasible and commercially grounded * Define the AI strategy and technical roadmap across the regional portfolio, translating NC's capabilities and product direction into credible, customer-specific multi-horizon visions * Create and deliver compelling, client-tailored demos and presentations grounded in the client's engineering workflows, technically credible and aligned with the vision * Create and co-own the Statement of Work, with deep understanding of the technical building blocks and how these transform the client's existing workflows * Prepare and run Steering Committees on strategic accounts, connecting engineering challenges to strategic outcomes * Identify expansion and growth opportunities across the regional portfolio, and shape them into well-scoped proposals * Lead and develop the regional SE team, setting high standards for discovery quality, demo impact, and SoW accuracy; orchestrate account assignment, manage capacity, and serve as the escalation point on the region's most complex deals * Collaborate with the Sales team to advance and close strategic deals, with the Forward Deployed Engineering team to ensure smooth pre-sales to delivery transitions, and surface client insights to Product and R&D to inform roadmap priorities WHO YOU ARE * You hold an engineering degree (mechanical, aerospace, automotive, industrial, or similar) and have strong hands-on experience with CAD and CAE workflows, including where bottlenecks lie and what it takes to transform those workflows with AI * You are naturally curious and people-driven. You earn trust at every level, from simulation engineers to VPs, through genuine interest in their challenges and make people feel understood * You are proactive and commercially driven. You move accounts and teams forward without being asked, spot opportunities early, and bring structure to ambiguous situations * You are a confident challenger. You ask uncomfortable questions, reframe assumptions, and guide both clients and your team toward better outcomes even when it requires pushing back * You are an outstanding communicator: equally comfortable in a hands-on technical deep-dive with simulation engineers and a strategic roadmap discussion with a VP of Engineering or CTO * You are a proven people leader. You build high-performing teams, elevate individual performance, give honest feedback, and create the environment where SEs do their best work and grow fast * You have 8+ years of experience in a senior technical client-facing role: solutions engineering, pre-sales, technical consulting, or similar, with a track record on complex, high-value accounts * Professional fluency in German and English. WHAT WILL SET YOU APART * You have hands-on simulation experience: full pipelines from CAD to post-processing, solver experience, and workflow automation * You are a strong programmer: you write clean Python, build data pipelines, and are comfortable in ML/DL frameworks including model training, evaluation, and deployment * You can go deep in technical discovery: dive into customer toolchains, data environments, and simulation setups to assess feasibility at the level a simulation engineer would respect * You can build end-to-end engineering workflow demos from scratch, rapidly prototyping the full arc from design generation and simulation to application deployment * You have experience structuring and proposing enterprise transformation programs, not just individual projects but multi-year adoption roadmaps * You have experience building or leading technical pre-sales or solutions engineering teams, or come from a strategic or technical consulting background WHAT YOU GET * Work with a world-class technology team – our engineers are top-notch, and we always aim for excellence. * Benefit from a competitive salary and rewarding opportunities as we continue to scale. * Thrive in a collaborative, multicultural environment where your work is visible and recognized. * Develop professionally alongside talented colleagues who share knowledge freely and support one another. * Make a global impact by helping customers shift to AI-assisted design, making innovation faster, smarter, and more sustainable. * Balance life and work with a hybrid model and flexible hours—we care about results, not rigid schedules. WE'RE PROUD TO BE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER, AND WE'RE COMMITTED TO BUILDING A DIVERSE AND INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT WHERE YOU CAN THRIVE.
🌎 WHAT WE DO WE BUILD SOFTWARE TO ENABLE SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE SUPPLY CHAINS. ~31% of global GHG emissions originate from food-related activities. For the first time in history, climate performance has become an overall business performance indicator. Enterprises are mandated by regulatory bodies to disclose their climate performance, which leads to increasing pressure from investors, competitors, retailers, and consumers to prevent and reduce their CO2e emissions. Over the next 10 years, companies have set ambitious reduction targets that need to be met. Enterprise software and new business processes can help - to make processes in the day-to-day more efficient, connect farmers better to their partners and thus, enable action in supply chains. We raised >€10m in funding in the first 2 years of our existence, we launched our enterprise product, signed and onboarded some of the largest F&B players in Europe, and put together what we believe is the best-suited early stage tech team in Europe. Today Root is the #1 primary data collection platform for dairy in DACH. We are AI-enabled at the core and driving the AI transformation across the food and agri world. The next chapter is bigger. 🔭 WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON YOUR MISSION Build on top of Europe's #1 primary data collection platform and bring it to new heights - new markets, new commodities, ready for action. You will own our core product line end-to-end. Today it is the leading platform in Europe for collecting farm-level data at scale. Tomorrow it needs to be the foundation that powers the next decade of agricultural decarbonization. That means making the product ready for action, expanding into new commodities, and bringing it to new geographies across Europe. WHAT YOUR JOB WILL LOOK LIKE: * Own the product line end-to-end. From discovery to delivery to ongoing maintenance. You decide what gets built, when, and why. * Lead an engineering and design squad. Set the pace, manage tradeoffs, keep the team focused on what matters. Routines, rituals, prioritization - that is on you. * Prioritize across competing demands. Customer escalations, internal stakeholder asks, methodology updates, expansion bets. You will rarely have enough capacity for all of it. Make the calls that move the needle, communicate them clearly. * Go deep on methodology. Calculators, data sources, agricultural emission factors. The product is only as good as the science underneath. You will become one of the most knowledgeable people in Europe on how farm-level emissions get calculated. * Drive expansion into new markets and commodities. Run discovery in new geographies, pressure-test our offering with local customers, decide where we double down and where we pull back. * Make it action-ready. Data collection is the foundation. Reduction is where customer value compounds. Shape how our primary data product becomes the launchpad for everything we build on top of it. * Ship. We are still early stage. Time-to-customer-value beats perfection. Builder mentality is non-negotiable. 🦾 HOW WE SUPPORT YOU You will report directly to our Head of Product. Some of our angel investors that will actively mentor you: * Jan Philipp Thomsen (VP Product @Celonis) - scaling enterprise B2B SaaS * Vassili Samolis (Director Product @Doordash, ex-Instagram, ex-Pinterest) - product discovery at scale It is important to us to give you the best conditions for learning and career growth. This is why we have designed our cap table in a way that all our early employees get functional experts as mentors by your side. 🧺 WHAT YOU BRING ALONG You might be a good fit if you can demonstrate the following things: * 2-3 years of product management experience, ideally at an early-stage B2B SaaS company that shipped at a high pace. * Strong prioritization is your superpower. You can hold customer escalations, internal stakeholder asks, and long-term bets in your head at the same time, and decide what gets done first. You communicate those decisions clearly to engineers, designers, customers, and leadership alike. * Comfortable leading engineering and design. You know how to keep a squad moving, when to step in, when to step back. You can hold a productive conversation with both an engineer and a designer in the same hour. * Some technical understanding. You do not need to write production code, but you should be able to reason about systems, data models, and the tradeoffs that affect what is feasible. * Appetite to go deep. Agricultural emissions methodologies are not light reading. You should be the kind of person who gets curious, not bored, when the conversation turns to calculators and data sources. * Builder mentality. You enjoy shipping. You would rather have something live and imperfect than perfect and unshipped. * AI-fluent. Modern AI tools are part of your daily craft - for discovery synthesis, prototyping, writing, coding. You also have a point of view on how AI reshapes the products we build. * Bonus: a genuine interest in farmers, agriculture, or the food system. Not required, but it will make Monday mornings a lot more fun. 🤗 You don't feel like you fulfill all the criteria? We get it: confidence can sometimes hold us back from applying for a job. But guess what?! There is no such thing as a “perfect” candidate. The only thing you need to ensure along the recruiting process and beyond is that the problem that we are solving with Root is one you cannot wait to get out of bed for on Monday morning! 🎢 HIRING PROCESS Our ambition is to offer you an end-to-end experience that is fast and uncomplicated - we aim to keep the end-to-end process to 10 working days. We send you prep material for each step and maximise transparency at every step. Root Global is an equal opportunity employer, which means we do not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, religion, marital status, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

Today Root is the #1 primary data collection platform for dairy in DACH. We are AI-enabled at the core and driving the AI transformation across the food and agri world. The next chapter is bigger. 🔭 WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON YOUR MISSION Build an innovative operating system for the dairy industry from 0 to 1, at the intersection of farmers and dairies. Dairy is Root's home market. We know it inside out - the players, the workflows, the technology gaps, the people. We see a category-defining opportunity to build a new product line that sits between farmers and dairy processors, and that has the potential to become the connecting piece of our portfolio. This is a genuinely greenfield role. You will not inherit a backlog. You will define what we build, why, and for whom - then prove it works with a handful of pilot customers before we scale. WHAT YOUR JOB WILL LOOK LIKE: * Run deep discovery. Spend weeks with farmers, farm technicians, milk procurement teams, and dairy executives on-site. Understand their jobs, KPIs, and frustrations from the inside. * Define new workflows together with our customers. Shape how dairy companies will work in the future. This product line is about setting a new standard, not digitising what already exists - while AI will be at the core of it. * Build hacky prototypes and run pilots. Show, do not tell. Get something tangible in front of 2-3 design partners within weeks. * Assess desirability, feasibility, and viability before we commit serious engineering investment. * Define the v1 spec with engineering and design once we have conviction. Set the team up for delivery. * Onboard the first paying customers and iterate fast. Own the loop. * Decide what we will NOT build. Scope discipline is critical with limited engineering capacity and a customer base that operates on a fixed annual cycle. You will work side by side with the Head of Product to make the bet, and own the product line end-to-end as it grows. Engineering and design support will scale with traction. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE AT 6 MONTHS: * A first end-to-end prototype tested with real customers * 3 signed Letters of Intent from new customers * A concrete, evidence-backed set of build hypotheses for v1 🦾 HOW WE SUPPORT YOU You will report directly to our Head of Product. Some of our angel investors that will actively mentor you: * Mengting Bönsch (Founder & ex-CEO @Kitchenstories) - 0 to 1 product in food * Alexander Argyros (Founder @BlueLayer, ex-founder @Moonfare) - founder craft and early-stage discovery * Jan Philipp Thomsen (VP Product @Celonis) - scaling enterprise B2B SaaS * Vassili Samolis (Director Product @Doordash, ex-Instagram, ex-Pinterest) - product discovery at scale It is important to us to give you the best conditions for learning and career growth. This is why we have designed our cap table in a way that all our early employees get functional experts as mentors by your side. 🧺 WHAT YOU BRING ALONG Language requirement: Fluent in German and English. Non-negotiable - our customers and most farmers are German-speaking. Location: Berlin office, 5 days a week. YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF: * You have 5-7 years of B2B SaaS product management experience, ideally including a stint at an early-stage startup before product-market fit. * You have built a product line or a major module from 0 to 1 - not just iterated on an existing one. You can talk us through what worked, what did not, and what you learned. * You love discovery. Customer interviews, field research, prototyping, and pilots are your favourite part of the job, not the part you outsource. * You love observing how others do their job. You take the parts that matter, design new workflows around them, and put prototypes in front of users to iterate - rather than running survey-driven roadmaps. * You are AI-fluent. Modern AI tools are part of your daily craft - for discovery synthesis, prototyping, writing, coding. You also have a point of view on how AI reshapes the products we build. * You have an interest or background in food, agriculture, or sustainability. Preferred, not required. We will teach you the domain. 🤗 You don't feel like you fulfill all the criteria? We get it: confidence can sometimes hold us back from applying for a job. But guess what?!
