About the role
We are now looking for a Process Engineer. This team will consist of different competencies, such as biomedicine, biotechnique, validation, automation and mechatronic. You will be responsible for automation/mechatronic knowledge within the department. You will also be responsible for one of our manufacturing processes and drive the work with continues improvements. Whenever there is a question regarding automation/mechatronic from your colleagues you will be asked to help.
This is a team with a lot of cross-functional collaborations and responsibilities with both internal and external stakeholders from a variety of countries.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and implementing new production processes
Driving continuous improvements on existing processes in close collaboration with all production departments
Ensuring that existing production is compliant for all our in-house production within the business area
Process engineering will also work with our outsourced products and the assessment and approval of our suppliers’ processes in close collaboration with our Quality Assurance, Supply Chain and Product Development department.
This is a permanent, full-time position based at our office in Gothenburg. Travel and work from other Vitrolife sites and contract manufacturers might be part of the position.
Your Profile
Bachelor or master’s degree in biomedicine, chemistry, biology, mechanic, automation or equivalent
Experiences from working with quality standards and processes (ISO-13485, GMP)
5 years’ experience of automation/mechatronic work
Fluent in Swedish and good knowledge in English both oral and written
You are thorough, structured, can see the whole picture and are able to prioritize and meet deadlines. You are also service-oriented, solution-focused and communicative and you enjoy working in a changing and dynamic environment.

Beroende på uppdrag kan dina arbetsuppgifter bland annat omfatta att: Ta fram och utveckla processlösningar för ombyggnads- och investeringsprojekt. Utföra processberäkningar och tekniska analyser. Ta fram och granska processdokumentation, såsom PFD, P&ID och tekniska specifikationer. Delta i projektering och säkerställa att processlösningar uppfyller gällande krav och standarder. Samarbeta med discipliner som mekanik, el, instrument och automation för att säkerställa väl fungerande helhetslösningar. Medverka i riskanalyser, tekniska utredningar och förbättringsarbeten. Ge tekniskt stöd under projektens olika faser – från förstudie och projektering till driftsättning. Bidra till att säkerställa hög kvalitet, driftsäkerhet och regelefterlevnad i projekten. Vem är du? Vi tror att du har erfarenhet från roller som Process Engineer eller liknande teknisk roll inom kärnkraftsindustrin. Du har en god processförståelse och trivs i projekt där tekniska krav, säkerhet och kvalitet är avgörande. Vi ser gärna att du har: Flera års erfarenhet som processingenjör inom kärnkraftsindustrin. Erfarenhet av processdesign, processutveckling eller anläggningsmodifieringar. God vana av att ta fram och granska teknisk processdokumentation, exempelvis PFD, P&ID och processbeskrivningar. Erfarenhet av att arbeta i multidisciplinära projektorganisationer. God förståelse för tekniska regelverk, kvalitetskrav och säkerhetsprocesser inom kärnkraft. Förmåga att analysera komplexa tekniska frågeställningar och omsätta dem till praktiska lösningar. God kommunikativ förmåga och vana att samarbeta med olika teknikdiscipliner. Flytande svenska och engelska i tal och skrift. Meriterande: Erfarenhet av moderniserings- eller investeringsprojekt inom kärnkraft. Erfarenhet av säkerhetsklassade system eller arbete i reglerad verksamhet. Erfarenhet av processäkerhet, riskanalyser eller driftsättning. As we continue our transition from product qualification and commercialisation into large-scale industrial manufacturing, we are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to play a key role in developing, optimising and scaling our production processes. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled process engineer who wants to contribute to the industrialisation of next-generation graphene technology and help build a world-class manufacturing operation. The Role As Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, optimising and industrialising manufacturing processes to support stable, efficient and scalable production. Working closely with Production, R&D, Quality and Engineering teams in both Sweden and China, you will help ensure that manufacturing processes deliver the highest levels of quality, repeatability and operational performance. The role is based in Gothenburg and requires regular travel to China to support technology transfer, process development and manufacturing scale-up activities. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes for mass production. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, quality, efficiency and throughput. Support the industrialisation of new products and manufacturing technologies. Develop, evaluate and implement process improvements based on operational data and production requirements. Optimise coating processes, carbonisation and graphitisation operations. Minimum 10 years' experience in process engineering within industrial manufacturing environments. Strong experience working with manufacturing processes and production scale-up. Hands-on experience with coating lines, thermal processing equipment, carbonisation and graphitisation furnaces. Solid understanding of advanced materials manufacturing and process control. Experience developing and optimising production processes for high-volume manufacturing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working in international manufacturing environments is highly desirable. Highly Desirable Experience Graphene manufacturing or advanced carbon materials.
