As a Tax Manager, you will support the Tax Director Germany in all tax matters of the German holding companies and the operating
agencies. As part of the global tax team, you will form an important interface between the tax department and our group companies
in Germany. You will work closely with the local and global finance teams and external consultants to identify and address local
tax issues.
You will report to the Tax Director Germany and work closely with the International Tax Director (Europe) based in London to
support the Group's financial and strategic objectives from a tax perspective. This role gives you the opportunity to gain
interesting experience by being involved in a wide range of tax projects, from tax compliance to strategic planning, allowing you

Our team works closely with our business, legal and finance cross-functional partners from both Twitch and Amazon, including advising on important Twitch projects, products, and initiatives, and also coordinating key tax positions and analysis across the broader suite of Amazon's digital businesses. You can work in San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA. YOU WILL: * Analyze and document U.S. and non-U.S. direct tax, indirect tax, and tax reporting and compliance impacts of Twitch projects, programs, products, and other initiatives. * Manage outside counsel and external tax advisors on advisory requests and documentation pertaining to direct tax, indirect tax, and tax reporting and compliance issues. * Educate our business clients/partners, Twitch Tax team members, and other cross-functional stakeholders ranging from junior to executive level regarding various tax issues and our technical analysis and recommendations. * Socialize final tax requirements with different Twitch internal teams, such as Legal, Accounting, Marketing, Commerce, etc. YOU HAVE: * CPA or JD (LLM, Master of Tax, or relevant tax practice experience) * 3+ years experience in a Big 4, law firm, and/or equivalent in-house environment supporting multinational digital enterprises on tax planning. * Recent experience providing practical business facing guidance regarding U.S. and/or non-U.S. tax issues pertaining to international digital businesses and digital products. * Familiarity with direct and indirect tax concepts (e.g., US income tax, US withholding tax, and US tax reporting, treaty PEs and other pertinent concepts, transfer pricing, US SALT, and non-US VATs, DSTs, and non-US reporting- e.g., DAC 7). Job Location: Nairobi, Kenya About The Role: We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially minded Tax Manager to oversee all direct and indirect tax compliance, reporting, and strategy for our Kenyan operations while coordinating tax activities across the East African region (including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, and Madagascar). The ideal candidate will be an expert in Kenyan tax law (KRA) and possess strong working knowledge of the diverse tax regimes and emerging legislative changes within the East African Community (EAC).
