We are looking for an Engineering Manager - Content API (f/m/d) to lead a high-performing, remote-first web development team based
in Europe who are driving Contentful’s technical strategy for content and entity reusability.
The role will focus on enhancing the management capabilities of the platform to enable re-use of the core content entities, such
as Content Types and Entries, and establishing strong governance systems to enable Enterprise organisations to manage how that
content is shared and used within their ecosystem.
You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technical goals and business objectives, driving

What we’re looking for: * Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, or equivalent experience. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights. * Strong programming skills in Python * Experience with TypeScript beneficial * A track record of developing high-quality software with high reliability. * Proven ability to manage and deliver technical initiatives to achieve high-impact outcomes. * Well-versed in agile development methodologies. * Experience using AI coding assistants and agentic tools as a force-multiplier, and equally comfortable solving problems from first principles when those tools aren’t available. * An understanding of the regulatory landscape is preferred, but not required. The organization is responsible for building MongoDB Atlas, our database-as-a-service offering and fastest growing product. Atlas allows users to deploy fault-tolerant, secure, globally distributed MongoDB clusters in just minutes. This includes developing software to interface with the three major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, and GCP) in order to bring security, durability, availability, and performance to all deployments of MongoDB. The Atlas Clusters Modernization team is a product engineering team that builds foundational services and features for MongoDB Atlas that allow Atlas Clusters to be provisioned, updated, and maintained. We enable new cluster topologies, incorporate new cloud provider capabilities as they become available, roll out hardware and operating system upgrades, and expand Atlas into new cloud provider regions.
