Would you like to leave your mark in the booming cloud-native & fin-tech industry? Would you like to show your ideas and bring
them to life?
Ohpen is seeking a .NET Developer who goes beyond writing code and takes ownership of system architecture, technical direction,
and long-term design decisions.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys shaping complex systems and working closely with product and business stakeholders to
build scalable, maintainable solutions.
As a .NET engineer, you will play a key role in defining technical specifications, setting engineering standards, and delivering
robust, testable, and well-documented solutions.
You will be expected to contribute your expertise, challenge assumptions while continuing to deepen your own technical and domain
knowledge.
We’re building a real-time, cloud-native core banking platform for two major markets. No legacy systems. Just real customers, real
code, and real impact. You’ll work in small, strong teams of engineers who care about their craft.
You will be working on a product, which is part of a whole suite of products offered to our customers. Our team develops and
maintains 15 year old product built on .Net, PostgresSQL, Docker and deployed on AWS cloud.
DESCRIPTION Do you enjoy turning complex business rules into elegant, reliable code? Are you excited by the idea of shaping how mortgages and credit decisions are calculated and assessed in a modern, cloud‑native stack? If you’re a Software Engineer focused on Java stack who wants to see your work directly impact real customers, this role is for you. BRIEFING You’d be joining our Mid‑office team, the heart of our mortgage and credit assessment engine, where calculations, reporting, valuation and party integrations all flow through your services. Working closely with product and other engineering teams, you’ll help design and build REST APIs that track and apply domain‑specific rules – from credit limits and approval policies to configuration changes – across all phases of the assessment journey. In your day‑to‑day work, you’ll use Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x to design and build the services and APIs that power our cloud‑native core banking platform. You’ll work on features that track and apply configuration changes to domain rules (such as credit limits and approval policies), support mortgage and credit assessments across multiple phases, and keep our Mid‑office services healthy and reliable through clear monitoring and automated tests. You’ll be able to bring your experience, learn from colleagues, and have real ownership of how we evolve the Mid‑office platform, while seeing the impact of your work across multiple assessment phases and services. ABOUT YOU * You are a seasoned Software Engineer with solid experience building back‑end services in Java (Java 17+, ideally Java 21). * You have hands‑on experience with Spring Boot (3.x preferred), and you’re comfortable designing and implementing REST APIs that are simple to use and easy to maintain. * You write clean, testable code and have experience with unit and integration testing. * You understand how to design for correctness and performance without over‑engineering. * You are comfortable with more robust systems and curious about potential improvements in all the aspects of your work. You haven’t updated your CV in a while? Not a problem – you can also apply with your LinkedIn profile or send a message to the Recruiter. Everyone gets a response, latest within a week, but likely sooner. We can’t wait to hear from you!
DESCRIPTION Would you like to leave your mark in the truly booming cloud-native & fin-tech industry? Would you like to show your ideas and bring them to life? Ohpen is on the lookout for a skilled Engineer to join the team and help us build and maintain the product and its applications. There is where you come into the picture! BRIEFING We're not looking for just another Java developer. We want someone who has internalized the discipline of languages like Rust, C++, and Haskell — ownership semantics, zero-cost abstractions, fearless concurrency, algebraic types, immutability-by-default — and brings that rigour to a production Java codebase. You'll join one of our self-governing squads Bratislava or Zilina that owns its domain end-to-end in a cloud-native fintech platform. Most architectural decisions are made inside the squad, so your opinions on correctness, performance, and code design actually matter here. The daily language is Java 21+ / Spring Boot, but the way you think about the code is what sets you apart. As English is our primary working language, we expect candidates to communicate fluently in English at a professional level. We also value a willingness to work with AI technologies. ABOUT YOU * 5+ years of professional backend experience, with meaningful time spent in at least one of: Rust, C++, Haskell — or demonstrable deep knowledge of their core principles * Strong, opinionated understanding of memory models, ownership, type systems, and functional programming concepts * Production fluency in Java (17+) and Spring Boot — or the confidence to ramp up quickly given your systems background * Experience with or genuine interest in AWS, Terraform, and delivery automation * Comfortable communicating daily in English
DESCRIPTION Do you think like an engineer first and a “language specialist” second? Are you the kind of person who loves to experiment, challenge tools (including AI), and find better ways to build software – even if it means learning something completely new? If you enjoy going the extra mile, playing with ideas and turning them into robust solutions, we’d love to talk to you. BRIEFING You’ll join our Mid‑office team, where complex mortgage and credit decisions are turned into services and APIs that drive real‑world outcomes for our customers. Your role would be to understand how the pieces fit together: how services interact, how data flows through our platform, and how design choices affect reliability and customer experience. You’ll be designing and improving components in a cloud native core banking environment and help us keep systems understandable and maintainable over time. AI will be one of your tools: you’ll use it to explore options, generate code snippets or tests, and speed up routine work, but you’ll always stay in the driver’s seat, by deciding when AI’s suggestions need to be challenged or refined. This role is for someone who enjoys analyzing problems, forming a clear vision of the solution, and then using both their own skills and AI‑powered tools to bring that vision to life. You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers and product colleagues, discuss trade‑offs, and help us move from “incremental evolution” to genuine “revolution” in how we design and operate our Mid‑office services. ABOUT YOU * You understand code and system architecture beyond syntax: you can reason about how components are structured, how they communicate, and how changesimpactthewhole system. * You are open‑minded and curious, and youdon’thesitate to learn something new when it helps you build a better solution. * You are comfortable using AI as a collaborative tool – crafting precise prompts, explaining clearly what you need, and evaluating AI‑generated output against your own standards. * You enjoy discussing ideas, challenging assumptions (including those made by AI) ! If this role resonates with you, and you enjoy trying new things, you’re welcome (but not required) to send us a short video where you show or tell whatever best captures how you think about code, systems and using AI as your teammate.
