TUSA Energi AB is expanding its project organization for a major industrial construction and installation project. We are now recruiting an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support and coordinate mechanical engineering and installation activities at our project site in Boden, Sweden.
Work Duties
Plan, coordinate, and supervise mechanical installation activities in accordance with project requirements
Review mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documentation
Ensure mechanical installations are carried out according to applicable standards, project quality requirements, and safety regulations
Coordinate mechanical work with construction, electrical, piping, and other project disciplines
Monitor installation progress and provide technical support to site teams and subcontractors
Identify technical issues and propose practical engineering solutions
Participate in inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities
Coordinate material requirements with procurement and warehouse teams
Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and maintain engineering documentation
Support project management with planning, scheduling, and technical coordination
Ensure compliance with Swedish workplace safety regulations and company HSE procedures
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Previous experience in industrial, energy, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects is highly desirable
Experience with mechanical installation, piping, rotating equipment, or heavy industrial facilities is considered an advantage
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation
Good knowledge of engineering standards, quality requirements, and mechanical installation practices
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team
Good knowledge of English is considered an advantage
Turkish and/or Swedish are considered strong advantages

Full-time employment: 40 hours per week
Saturday work may be required depending on project needs
Overtime is compensated according to Swedish labor law and applicable agreements

Gemkom Engineering and Machinery Filial is a newly established branch of the Turkish company Gemkom. It is a leading engineering and manufacturing company that operates in a number of areas and in various ways within the steel industry. We are participating in a project where Stegra AB establishes a steel mill in Norra Svartbyn in Boden where steel will be produced through an almost fossil-free process using hydrogen gas. Our mission is, among other things, to install machines used in steel production and includes work in mechanics, electronics, and plumbing. We now want to employ a QA/QC Engineer. As a Reliability Engineer, you'll help take the plant from construction to stable operations. You'll oversee the installation and commissioning of cranes, conductor systems, monorails and other lifting equipment, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery. Once the plant is running, you'll improve the reliability and performance of our lifting equipment by developing maintenance strategies, solving technical challenges and driving continuous improvements. Specific to this role, the day-to-day tasks will include the following but as we are a growing company with very little silos between teams, other tasks might be included as well. Oversee the installation and commissioning of EOT cranes, conductor systems, monorails and other lifting equipment. Work with contractors, OEMs and internal teams to deliver safe, high-quality installations. Prepare maintenance plans, spare parts strategies and documentation to support a smooth handover to operations. Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes and implement long-term improvements. Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to increase equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Use maintenance and performance data to improve the reliability, availability and lifetime of cranes and lifting equipment. What you’ll bring Specific to this role, we would like to see that you can tick off a fair amount of the boxes below: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field. Hands-on experience installing, commissioning, maintaining or improving the reliability of cranes or industrial lifting equipment. Experience from heavy industry, manufacturing or industrial maintenance. Good understanding of crane systems, electrical and mechanical equipment, and relevant industry standards. Experience with reliability methods such as RCA, FMEA and preventive or predictive maintenance, as well as CMMS/EAM systems (e.g. SAP PM, Hexagon or Maximo). Good English communication skills. Swedish is an advantage.

In-depth technical knowledge of water treatment processes (e.g., ultrafiltration, demineralization, wastewater treatment) combined with plant performance analysis and project management skills. Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities; familiarity with Swedish labor and environmental regulations; fluent English required, with basic Swedish considered an advantage.
