What you’ll do
Right now, we are looking for a Mechanical MRO Category Manager to join our team supporting our operations in Boden. In this role,
you will work closely with procurement, maintenance, engineering, and production teams to ensure a reliable and cost-effective
supply of mechanical spare parts and materials.
This is a key role in supporting our ramp-up, where your work will directly contribute to minimizing downtime, enabling
operational stability, and building a scalable procurement foundation for long-term operations.
You will take ownership of developing how we manage spare parts, suppliers, and contracts in a completely new industrial setup —
helping us build something from the ground up.

Job Summary The Product Category Manager – Connected Cable Management will lead the development and commercialization of the next-generation, advanced cable management and integrated solutions. This role will be responsible for defining and executing a product strategy that expands our core portfolio of bundling, securing, routing, protection, and identification products into higher-value solutions incorporating digital identification and traceability, condition-aware and sensor-ready components, and system-level integration across cable and fluid routing applications. Reporting to the Director of Product Management, this individual will operate at the intersection of product management, engineering (mechanical and electro-mechanical), market strategy, and commercial execution. The ideal candidate will combine strong product management discipline, deep understanding of industrial and technical markets, and the ability to translate emerging technologies into practical, manufacturable, and scalable product solutions. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership * Develop and maintain a 3–5 year product roadmap for smart-enabled cable management components and systems. * Identify and prioritize opportunities across key segments (e.g., industrial automation, automotive, electrical infrastructure, fluid systems). * Define product positioning, pricing strategy, and value propositions based on customer outcomes (e.g., reliability, traceability, installation quality, lifecycle cost reduction). * Establish clear business cases, including ROI, investment requirements, and expected market impact. Cross-Functional Leadership * Lead cross-functional teams across engineering (mechanical, materials, and electro-mechanical), marketing, concept innovation, sales, manufacturing operations, sourcing, and quality. * Serve as the central point of accountability for product success from concept through launch and lifecycle management. Customer & Market Insight * Engage directly with customers, OEMs, integrators, and distribution partners to understand application challenges, installation practices, reliability pain points, unmet needs and emerging trends. * Translate voice-of-customer into clearly defined product requirements. * Develop and maintain a strong understanding of competitive offerings, adjacent technologies, and emerging market shifts. Product Development & Execution * Define product requirements and specifications, including mechanical performance requirements, environmental and durability constraints, integration needs for sensor-ready or traceability-enabled features. * Partner with engineering teams to guide design tradeoffs, balancing performance, cost, manufacturability, and ease of installation. * Support validation, testing, and qualification processes—particularly for new materials, environments, or integrated technologies. * Oversee pilot programs and early customer trials. Commercialization & Go-To-Market * Partner with marketing to define messaging, positioning, and launch strategies. * Support development of technical documentation, application guides, sales tools and training materials. * Enable sales teams and distribution partners to effectively position and sell new solutions. * Lead product launch activities including pricing, channel readiness, and demand planning. Partnership & Technology Integration * Identify and evaluate external partners in areas such as sensing technologies, identification/traceability systems, materials and advanced manufacturing. * Support build-vs-buy decisions and partnership strategies. * Contribute to technology scouting and innovation initiatives. Summary: Responsible for the identification and formal release of assigned new products and product lines within the Agriculture Industry. Will lead efforts to review and interpret customer VOC and translate into a catalog and online buying process that is easy and intuitive for the end customer. Additionally, will assist in trade show attendance and product line planning as appropriate. Duties: * Responsible for assigned projects and product lines. * Research profitable and strategic new parts for AEP brands. * Work with Supply Chain and suppliers to drive timely release of new parts. * Maintain and grow assigned product line through targeted research using specified analytical tools available, gathering VOC from the industry and formulating product strategy, reviewing competitor product offerings, and working with other facilities to identify possible complements to products in adjacent lines. * Stay current with industry trends and products through event attendance, online research, product groups, etc. * Attend trade shows as requested to research new product opportunities. * Communicate new projects to the Category Manager in terms of total investment, ROI and downside risk. * Commercialize products and provide product training to sales team. * Lead generation of product roadmaps for immediate, 2 year, and 5-year timelines. * Maintain product roadmaps and ensure visibility is given to relevant staff. * Provide required documentation/technical information as needed to support new product sourcing and quality. * Assis with product launches. * Assist in various activities required to support new product sales. * Assist with listings. * Other duties as assigned.
