Your Skills and Experience * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. * Approximately 5 years of experience in an operational or market risk role, ideally within a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or electronic market maker. * Direct experience with automated trading systems and a good understanding of how software and hardware failures translate into trading risk. * Familiarity with the APAC trading landscape, including exchange microstructure and market conventions across key markets such as Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, and China. * Proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to independently query data, build monitoring tools, and automate reporting. Comfortable using AI tools to support automation and reporting tasks. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present risk findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. * Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment, with the ability to prioritise effectively and act decisively. * Entrepreneurial, self-starter willing to take initiative. Ability to carry projects through from ideation to completion. About Us IMC is a global trading firm powered by a cutting-edge research environment and a world-class technology backbone.
