This is Adyen Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition. For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster. The Opportunity Adyen operates as a full-stack payment processor and licensed global banking institution, capturing the behavior and complex interactions of billions of shoppers and millions of businesses worldwide. As we scale our footprint in banking, card issuing, and embedded financial products, the financial risk profiles we manage are significantly higher than traditional payment processing alone. We are leveraging our unique position to build advanced, data-driven risk management capabilities to proactively detect and mitigate platform fraud and commercial risk. We are looking for a Group Product Manager (GPM) to lead and develop a senior team of product managers within Adyen’s Commercial Risk & Platform Fraud group. This is not a standard product role. We need an all-around biztech leader who possesses strong technical instincts but treats the domain like a high-growth business, balancing architecture with a commercial mindset, regulatory strategy, and high-friction cross-functional alignment. What You'll Do * Drive Commercial Excellence: Formulate and execute a strategic vision that transforms risk mitigation into customer value. Treat these premium, paid capabilities like your own business, balancing pricing strategy, revenue drivers, and costs to ensure responsible growth. * Lead & Develop Senior Talent: Direct, coach, and elevate a team of high-performing product managers within Adyen’s Commercial Risk & Platform Fraud group. * Architect Smart Trade-offs: Simplify an ambiguous space by defining clear, actionable use cases with your engineering and partner teams. Strategically decide when to deploy automated technical solutions (such as AI/ML models) versus operational support to optimize merchant value. * Pragmatic Regulatory Strategy: Act as the ultimate product authority for Commercial Risk & Platform Fraud across Adyen. Partner closely with Compliance, Regulatory, and Operations teams to design resilient, auditable capabilities, bringing a pragmatic commercial lens to regulatory interpretation rather than blindly following rigid frameworks. * Lead Through Friction: Drive alignment and partner closely with Engineering, Commercial, Risk, and Operations teams without direct authority. Raise the bar for product clarity and prioritization discipline, making the tough, objective trade-offs necessary to unlock long-term value, even when it means saying "no" to specific groups. Who You Are * Accelerated Product Leader: You have 8+ years of product management experience, with a track record of progression into leadership roles. You have launched and evolved complex products across every stage of the product lifecycle. * People Manager & Coach: You bring hands-on experience hiring, managing, and developing product managers of various levels, with a proven ability to build a collaborative culture of growth, coaching, and mentorship. * Commercial GM Mindset: You bring a highly analytical, metrics-driven approach to decision-making. You deeply understand revenue drivers, costs, and portfolio management, behaving with the strategic accountability of a P&L owner to optimize business outcomes. * Strong Tech & AI/ML Instincts: You have a solid conceptual grasp of machine learning, AI, and advanced data-science models. While you don't need to be an ML engineer, you have the technical confidence to collaborate with engineering teams on building products rooted in petabyte-scale datasets. * Master of Influence: You are a clear, confident, and fearless communicator across technical, commercial, and executive audiences globally. You have a track record of driving cross-functional alignment and managing complex stakeholders without direct authority. Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. This diversity of backgrounds and cultures is essential in helping us maintain our momentum. Our business and technical challenges are unique, and we need as many different voices as possible to join us in solving them - voices like yours. No matter who you are or where you’re from, we welcome you to be your true self at Adyen.
