Qualifications for the role PhD in power electronics, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or an MSc combined with substantial relevant industry or research experience, with a strong theoretical foundation and hands-on expertise in power electronics topologies, control, and applications (e.g., grid-connected converters, energy storage, Electric motor drives). Proficiency in the design, modeling, simulation, and optimization of power converters and drives, including experience in condition monitoring and diagnostics of the systems. Strong experimental and analytical skills, with proven ability to design and implement test setups, plan and conduct experiments, analyze results, and clearly document findings. Knowledge of data-driven methods, machine learning, and advanced modeling techniques is considered a strong plus, especially for applications in predictive modeling, condition monitoring, and the optimization of systems.
