Development & Code Quality: * Guide the implementation of clean, well-tested Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and platform-native code with full automated unit test coverage (TDD standard), stepping in hands-on where needed. * Define the technical strategy for automated business and regression testing across the squad. * Own the code review framework and pair programming culture; set and audit software craftsmanship standards Factory-wide. * Define and continuously improve CI/CD pipeline standards; drive automation of testing, deployment, and delivery processes. * Own the technical debt strategy — prioritise, negotiate, and drive down debt for long-term platform stability. Run Activities (20% of Capacity): * Act as the ultimate Level 3 escalation point in the incident management chain for complex, high-severity production issues. * Oversee corrective maintenance quality — validate root-cause analyses, fixes, and documentation produced by the squad. * Arbitrate and prioritise complex change requests from analysis through delivery. * Approve and oversee sensitive data retrieval requests from Salesforce production environments. * Drive continuous improvement of the support knowledge base and incident-prevention practices. Build Activities (80% of Capacity): * Own the technical delivery of complete project solutions (code + tests + documentation) aligned to specifications and enterprise quality standards. * Lead roadmap elaboration, effort estimation, and sprint planning across the squad, and contribute to Factory-level capacity planning. * Mentor and grow Developers and Tech Leads (C3–C4) toward technical excellence and autonomy; act as a career reference for technical talent. * Own architecture decision records, solution design docs, and technical documentation standards across the squad. * Drive alignment and standards enforcement across the broader Salesforce developer community within the organisation. Description ABOUT THE ROLE: This is a senior, client-facing architecture role at the centre of our Salesforce practice. It is a deliberately hybrid position — part business analyst, part solution architect, part strategist — for someone who can sit with client leadership, elicit and challenge requirements, translate them into a solution design, and hold a multi-year transformation vision at the same time. You will lead delivery pods on complex Salesforce and NetSuite engagements, orchestrate the specialists around you, and run the client relationship at a senior level. A strong bias toward out-of-the-box, vanilla Salesforce is essential; custom code is the exception that must be justified, not the default. Between engagements you will help shape the practice itself — reusable patterns, hiring calibration and mentorship. Position is a hybrid role in Atlanta, Georgia WHAT YOU'LL DO – Lead solution architecture across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and the wider platform on enterprise engagements, favouring standard, configurable capability. – Elicit, challenge and document business requirements with client stakeholders, and translate them into clear user stories and solution designs. – Own the as-is assessment and the future-state architecture and roadmap, keeping immediate stabilisation and longer-term scalability coherent. – Run senior client governance and cadence, surfacing decisions and giving leadership a picture they can plan against. – Orchestrate functional consultants and developers within the delivery pod, advising on configuration and incremental development. – Apply the practice's engineering tooling to ground assessment and remediation in evidence rather than assumption. – Contribute to practice assets, patterns and mentorship, and coordinate with client and partner architecture teams. WHAT YOU'LL BRING – Roughly 20+ years in the Salesforce ecosystem, with genuine depth across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and out-of-the-box platform capability. – A blend of business-analysis, solution-architecture and strategy skills in one person — comfortable moving between a leadership conversation and a design decision. – A track record of documenting requirements and solution designs clearly, and of running client relationships at a senior level. – Strong instinct for vanilla-first design and the judgement to know when a deviation is genuinely warranted. – US-based, able to work in the US time zone and to travel to client sites up to around two weeks per month. NICE TO HAVE – Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or comparable architecture certifications. – Exposure to NetSuite and to Salesforce–ERP reconciliation. – Experience across enterprise B2B environments such as manufacturing, industrial or financial services Why Ness We know that people are our greatest asset. Our staff's professionalism, innovation, teamwork, and dedication to excellence have helped us become one of the world's leading technology companies. It is these qualities that are vital to our continued success. As a Ness employee, you will be working on products and platforms for some of the most innovative software companies in the world. You'll gain knowledge working alongside other highly skilled professionals that will help accelerate your career progression. You'll also benefit from an array of advantages like access to trainings and certifications, bonuses, and aids, socializing activities and attractive compensation.
