Senior Alliance Manager Location: Central London – Hybrid. Onsite requirements can vary from one customer to another, between 1 to 3 days per week. Full Time, Permanent Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 SC Clearance Requirements: Due to working with a number of government bodies, SC clearance is required for our customer facing teams. You do not need active SC clearance as we will undertake checks upon you joining, but you must be eligible to pass SC clearance. Why you should join us At Cloudscaler, you’ll be part of a consultancy at the forefront of cloud transformation, trusted by government, defence, and enterprise organisations to deliver complex AWS solutions that make a real national impact. From modernising public services to securing critical infrastructure, the work you do will matter far beyond technology. We combine the agility of a startup with the credibility of an AWS Advanced Partner, creating a high-trust, high-performance culture where self-starters thrive and every voice is heard. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and cloud experts, shaping meaningful projects and driving innovation. By joining us, you’ll accelerate your personal and professional development through hands-on experience with cutting-edge cloud solutions. You’ll learn directly from experts while contributing to some of the UK’s most ambitious cloud programmes, gaining exposure and influence you wouldn’t find in a larger consultancy. Role Purpose This is a relationship-building role at heart. As Anthropic Alliance Manager, you will build Cloudscaler's partnership with Anthropic from the ground up, becoming the face of that relationship and the person Anthropic thinks of first. There is no existing playbook and no warm pipeline waiting for you. What there is instead is a genuine opportunity: one of the most important AI partnerships we have, and the freedom to shape how it grows. Your job is to get out there, meet people, earn trust, and turn a promising partnership into a real working relationship built on mutual momentum. You'll spend your time with people. Anthropic's partner and sales teams, their technical specialists, our own delivery experts, and the customers where the two organisations can do something worthwhile together. Some of that is structured and strategic. A lot of it is simply showing up, being useful, and building the kind of rapport that makes people want to work with you. Commercial results will follow from strong relationships, and we'll back you to build those relationships properly rather than chasing short-term targets. This is a builder's role for someone who genuinely enjoys the human side of partnerships. Key Responsibilities Relationship building & senior stakeholder access * Map and build relationships across Anthropic's partner, sales, and applied AI teams in the UK and EMEA, from partner managers through to sales leadership, and become the name they think of when a regulated or public sector opportunity needs a delivery partner. * Make every first conversation count. Anthropic stakeholders give their time sparingly, so arrive having done the homework, lead with what Cloudscaler can do for them, and leave with a concrete next step agreed. * Earn trust the way Anthropic's culture rewards it: candour about what we can and cannot do, commitments that are always kept, and opinions grounded in real delivery experience rather than sales patter. * Give before you ask. Bring Anthropic qualified opportunities, buyer intelligence from regulated sectors, and honest field feedback on Claude deployments. Reciprocity is what turns a contact into an advocate. * Engage customer-side senior stakeholders, including C-suite and procurement leads, as part of joint sales motions, and represent both brands credibly in the room. Alliance programme & partner channel creation * Design and build Cloudscaler's Anthropic alliance programme from a blank page: partner tier progression, co-sell frameworks, certification plans, and the operating cadences that keep both sides accountable. * Shape joint propositions that pair Claude with Cloudscaler's AWS platform engineering strengths, using Amazon Bedrock as the natural meeting point of our two most important partnerships. * Secure the accreditations, certifications, and preferred partner designations that unlock commercial benefit, and drive Cloudscaler's standing within Anthropic's partner programme. * Build and qualify a co-sell pipeline using MEDDIC/MEDDPICC frameworks, prioritising engagements where the joint proposition is genuinely differentiated. * Own revenue targets associated with the partnership, track KPIs, and actively manage forecasting and pipeline reviews. Creative access & pipeline development * Engineer access rather than wait for it: co-hosted workshops and hackathons around agentic AI and MCP, well-brokered introductions through the AWS partner network, and content that gives Anthropic people a reason to reply. * Drive lead generation through onsite events, partner-hosted programmes, and direct relationship building with Anthropic's customer-facing teams. * Navigate formal government tender and procurement processes, supporting bids where the Anthropic partnership is a differentiator, including work aligned to the UK government's growing adoption of Claude. * Collaborate with Cloudscaler's sales and technical teams to ensure qualified opportunities are handed over cleanly and progressed to close. Cross-functional collaboration * Work closely with Cloudscaler's technical practice and delivery teams to ensure the Anthropic proposition is grounded in genuine capability. * Feed market intelligence back into Cloudscaler's service development — what customers are asking for, where Anthropic is investing, and where the competitive landscape is moving. * Coordinate with marketing on partner-aligned campaigns, case studies, and event participation. * Operate as a credible bridge between Cloudscaler's commercial ambitions and Anthropic's partner programme requirements. Required Experience * Have a minimum of three years' experience in a partnerships or alliances role, ideally within a technology or cloud-adjacent environment. * Win people over fast. In a short first meeting you establish credibility, find the shared agenda, and earn the follow-up. Colleagues would describe you as the best networker they know. * Build trust deliberately, through preparation, candour, and flawless follow-through, and sustain it over months rather than relying on a strong first impression. * Demonstrate strong gravitas and executive presence; you are comfortable holding a room with a CISO, a Procurement Director, or a senior Anthropic sales leader. * Have built a partner channel or alliance programme from scratch and can walk us through it: what you designed, what worked, and what you would do differently next time. * Invent routes to the right people when the front door is closed; you can point to events you engineered, introductions you brokered, and content that opened doors. * Are highly social and personable; relationships come naturally to you, and you invest in a strong professional network over the long term. * Have proven experience applying MEDDIC or MEDDPICC qualification frameworks to manage and advance complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. * Have worked in organisations of a similar size and stage to Cloudscaler, circa 100 to 200 employees, and understand the constraints and opportunities that come with that environment. * Have hands-on experience with formal government tender and bid processes, including navigating public sector procurement frameworks. * Bring hands-on experience with onsite lead generation and event-driven pipeline development. * Are fluent in the AI landscape: you can discuss agentic AI, MCP, model selection, and enterprise Claude deployment credibly with engineers and executives alike, and you understand why safety and responsible deployment matter to Anthropic specifically. Benefits * Discretionary bonus * Discretionary security clearance bonus for those holding certain clearance * Periodic offer of share options schemes * 25 days’ annual leave * 5 additional days per year towards training, certifications, or charity work * Option to buy additional annual leave up to 5 days per year * Public holidays opt-out scheme, the option to work on public holidays creating the flexibility to enjoy your time off when it suits you * Certifications and training expensed * Life Assurance * Long Term Disability cover * Employee Assist Programme for employee advice and support (including legal and counselling helpline) * Health, Mental Health, Wellbeing, Financial and Legal support * 24/7 GP access * Pension auto-enrolment and contribution * Employee referral scheme * Client referral scheme * Cycle to work scheme * Travel expenses policy Interview Process 1. Screening call with our Talent Acquisition team 30 minutes 2. 1st Interview - 30 minute remote interview with Alliance Manager 3. 2nd Interview - 60 minute remote scenario based interview with members of the team 4. 3rd Interview - 60 minute in person interview with members of our Leadership Team Cloudscaler are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to equal opportunities regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ancestry, age, marital status, disability, parental status, religion or medical history.
