Travel Coordinator

CSQ327R248 As a Forward Deployed Engineer in our Forward Deployed Engineering team you will work with clients on short to medium term customer engagements on their big data challenges using the Databricks platform. You will provide data engineering, data science, and cloud technology projects which require integrating with client systems, training, and other technical tasks to help customers to get most value out of their data. FDEs are billable and know how to complete projects according to specification with excellent customer service. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering. The impact you will have: * You will work on a variety of impactful customer technical projects which may include building reference architectures, how-to's and production grade MVPs / Greenfield projects * Guide strategic customers as they implement transformational big data projects, 3rd party migrations, including end-to-end design, build and deployment of industry-leading big data and AI applications * Consult on architecture and design; bootstrap or implement strategic customer projects which leads to a customers' successful understanding, evaluation and adoption of Databricks * Provide an escalated level of support for customer operational issues. * You will work with the Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect and Customer team to ensure the technical components of the engagement are delivered to meet customer's needs * Work with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback and to guide rapid resolution for engagement specific product and support issues What we look for: * 8+ years experience with Big Data Technologies such as Apache Spark™, Kafka, Cloud Native and Data Lakes in a customer-facing post-sales, technical architecture or consulting role. * Comfortable writing code in either Python or Scala. * Experience with technical project delivery - managing scope and timelines. * Documentation and white-boarding skills. * Experience working with clients and managing conflicts. * Build skills in technical areas which support the deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions to complete customer projects. * Travel to customers 20 - 30% of the time * Nice to have: Databricks Certification   About Databricks Databricks is the data and AI company. Betsson Group is looking for an energetic and highly organised Travel Coordinator to join our vibrant Malta office and play a key role in delivering exceptional employee experiences on a global scale.  THE WOW  As our Travel Coordinator, you’ll be at the centre of creating seamless travel, relocation and onboarding experiences for employees, ensuring every journey to and within Malta is smooth, efficient, and memorable.  From coordinating global travel and supporting international relocations to managing Betsson apartments, supplier partnerships, and travel-related workflows, you’ll work closely with teams across HR, Finance, Legal, Technology, and global offices. You’ll also play an important role in identifying opportunities to use AI, automation, and digital tools to simplify processes, reduce manual administration, improve reporting accuracy, and create faster, more consistent employee experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to build strong relationships, collaborate with leadership, and make a real impact within a fast-paced, international environment.     A TASTER OF WHAT YOU WILL BE INVOLVED WITH:   * Own and maintain the global travel policy, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.  * Own and manage all global travel bookings through Perk, ensuring a smooth and efficient booking experience for employees.  * Act as the main point of contact for travel-related queries, providing guidance and support across the organisation.  * Manage and negotiate hotel agreements, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality options for business travel.  * Coordinate with Legal on hotel agreements and apartment contracts to ensure compliance and alignment.  * Coordinate relocation processes for new hires moving to Malta, including travel arrangements, communication, and onboarding support.  * Manage Betsson apartments in Malta, including allocation, upkeep, and ensuring a high standard of accommodation.  * Conduct regular apartment checks and coordinate maintenance or improvements where needed.  * Collaborate with HR Shared Services and Recruitment teams to ensure seamless relocation and onboarding experiences.  * Manage travel costs, reporting, and budget alignment. * Use AI and automation to optimise travel coordination workflows, such as automating repetitive travel request updates, streamlining approvals, improving ticket routing, and reducing manual follow-ups. * Identify practical opportunities to improve processes through digital tools, for example using automated reminders for missing travel details, AI-supported FAQ responses for common employee queries, workflow triggers for relocation tasks, and reporting dashboards to track travel spend, booking trends, and apartment occupancy. * Coordinate travel needs across all our locations.    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:    * Minimum of 2 years’ in a similar role as a travel coordinator/travel administrator within an international environment.   * Experience working with Perk or similar travel tools.  * Strong organisational and coordination skills with high attention to detail.  * Service-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering a positive employee experience.  * Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.  * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.  * Proactive and solution-oriented approach. * Comfortable working with systems and tools such as travel platforms, ticketing systems, reporting dashboards, and AI or automation-enabled solutions that help improve workflows and processes. * Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes.    WHY JOIN US?    Much like a rollercoaster, life at Betsson Group is fast-paced, full of twists and turns, and always exciting.
