Your role
Lead automation activities from design to commissioning and production support
Develop and modify PLC, HMI, SCADA and DCS systems
Take technical ownership of machines, production lines, process equipment or robot cells

You may work in both project and production environments. Experience with electrical drawings, control cabinets, industrial maintenance and production-critical systems is highly valuable.

You have solid experience in industrial automation and specialist competence in one or more of the following areas:
PLC engineering: Siemens S7 and TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation, Beckhoff TwinCAT, Schneider Electric, Mitsubishi, Omron or similar platforms
ABB automation: ABB 800xA, AC 800M, System 800xA, ABB robotics or related control environments
HMI and SCADA: WinCC, FactoryTalk, AVEVA System Platform, Ignition or comparable supervisory systems
Process automation and DCS: PCS 7, ABB 800xA, instrumentation, batch control and process-control systems
Industrial robotics: ABB, KUKA, FANUC or similar platforms, including programming, cell integration and commissioning
Motion and drives: Servo systems, frequency converters and coordinated machine control
Industrial communication: PROFINET, PROFIBUS, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, OPC UA or industrial Ethernet
Machine safety: Safety PLCs, functional safety, machinery regulations and CE-related engineering
OT/IT integration: MES, databases, APIs, production-data platforms, industrial middleware and cybersecurity
Testing and commissioning: FAT, SAT, virtual commissioning, production ramp-up and troubleshooting
Brownfield modernisation: Upgrades, migrations and modifications to production-critical systems
Life Sciences automation: GMP-regulated production, validation, traceability, structured documentation and controlled system changes
Experience in project management, technical project leadership or work-package coordination is meriting. This may include planning, estimation, risk management, supplier coordination, stakeholder communication, progress reporting and responsibility for scope, schedule and technical deliverables.
Experience with GAMP 5, computerised-system validation, qualification activities, audit trails, electronic records, batch systems or regulated change control is also meriting for Life Sciences assignments.
You do not need experience in every area. We are particularly interested in candidates with recognised depth in at least one automation domain and the ability to understand how machines, control systems, data, networks and production processes interact.
You are comfortable combining hands-on engineering with technical responsibility, customer dialogue and coordination across engineering disciplines.
You communicate confidently in English. Swedish is meriting, particularly for production-facing and customer-site assignments.

IHRE AUFGABEN Engineering Design, Systems Integration, and Development * Lead and coordinate the integrated development of mechanical systems, ensuring alignment between mechanical, structural, and electrical/control disciplines. * Define mechanical system concepts, requirements, and performance criteria, coordinating detailed design development through internal teams and external engineering partners. * Define mechanical interface requirements and coordinate with civil and structural engineers regarding loads, tolerances, deflections, connection details, and installation constraints. * Evaluate mechanical designs against performance, safety, maintainability, and constructability requirements. * Review, technically verify, and validate supplier and external partner designs, calculations, and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements, interfaces, and constructability. * Act as the mechanical lead within project teams, providing guidance and technical direction. * Coordinate mechanical activities across internal disciplines and external partners. * Support the gradual build-up of an internal mechanical engineering capability, subject to workload and project pipeline. * Contribute to defining future workflows, role profiles, and interface standards for mechanical engineering. External Engineering & Supplier Coordination * Define mechanical system scopes, interfaces, deliverables, and performance requirements for outsourced engineering partners and suppliers. * Identify, evaluate, and recommend suitable external engineering offices, manufacturers, and technology partners. * Technically steer and coordinate external partners to ensure timely, compliant, and integrated design delivery. * Review, challenge, and verify externally produced calculations, drawings, and specifications. * Ensure all externally developed mechanical content is fully coordinated with architectural, structural, and electrical documentation. Collaboration and Coordination * Coordinate closely with structural, electrical, and automation teams to ensure all systems function as one integrated solution. * Manage interfaces with electrical and control systems, including automation, sensors, limit switches, safety interlocks, power supply, and cabling routes. * Act as the main technical point of contact for mechanical system integration with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders. * Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors, addressing technical queries (RFIs), design changes, and interface issues. * Act as the primary mechanical systems interface between internal disciplines and external engineering partners. Installation Supervision and Site Support * Provide technical oversight and coordination of mechanical installation and assembly activities, ensuring adherence to approved designs, method statements, and safety requirements. * Support preparation and review of lifting plans, installation sequences, and alignment and tolerance verification procedures. * Perform QA/QC inspections, monitor workmanship quality, and manage punch lists and corrective actions. * Coordinate contractors and site teams to ensure installation activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules. Commissioning, Testing, and Handover * Support commissioning activities, including functional testing, load testing (where applicable), and safety validation of movable systems in coordination with suppliers and specialist partners. * Ensure proper documentation of test results, approvals, and compliance checks. * Prepare and review handover documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, and training materials. * Support client and operator training during handover phases. IHR PROFIL Required Skills and Experience * Solid mechanical engineering fundamentals with practical understanding of moving structures, drives, and electromechanical systems. * Proven ability to coordinate, integrate, and technically validate mechanical systems delivered by external specialists. * Proven site experience supervising installation and assembly works, including contractor coordination and quality control. * Ability to assess mechanical designs with respect to performance, safety, maintainability, and constructability. * Strong communication skills and ability to produce clear technical documentation and reports. * Confidence in reviewing, questioning, and verifying third-party engineering outputs without being the primary specialist designer. Position Summary The AI and Automation Senior Section Manager is responsible for leading the credit union's Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation function, driving innovation through evaluation, piloting, development and implementation. As the key resource for AI and Automation, you will operate to support solutions that improve employee productivity, operational efficiency, business processes, and member experiences. This role serves as an internal consultant to business units, identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and delivering solutions that create measurable business value. As the Senior Section Manager, you'll lead and develop a small, focused team of AI & Automation Engineers and Specialists while actively participating in the design, development, implementation, and support of AI-powered solutions, intelligent agents, robotic process automation (RPA), and low-code/no-code applications. The Senior Section Manager researches and evaluates emerging technologies, develops proof-of-concepts, and executes the AI and Automation roadmap. This will be completed through the implementation and management of enterprise AI and automation platforms, the Citizen Developer Program, and related governance practices, to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational objectives. Business Consulting & Process Transformation • Serves as an internal consultant to business units, facilitating discovery sessions, process assessments, and stakeholder engagement activities. • Analyzes business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, productivity improvement, and automation. • Assists stakeholders in evaluating solution options, expected benefits, implementation considerations, and associated risks. • Supports organizational adoption of new technologies through education, consultation, and implementation guidance. Project Delivery and Execution • Leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of AI, automation, and low-code initiatives in support of departmental and organizational objectives. • Collaborates with stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and project resources to define scope, priorities, timelines, and success criteria. • Manages project activities, dependencies, risks, and resource allocation to support successful solution delivery. • Provides project status updates, risks, issues, and recommendations to department leadership and stakeholders. • Ensures projects are delivered in accordance with established governance, change management, security, and compliance requirements. AI Governance & Risk Management • Ensures solutions are developed and implemented in compliance with established governance, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements. • Works with Information Security, Risk Management, Compliance, and Data Governance teams to identify and mitigate technology risks. • Ensures appropriate documentation, testing, approval, and change management practices are followed. • Recommends improvements to governance processes and controls related to emerging technology solutions. Vendor Management • Serves as the product owner for enterprise AI and automation platforms, ensuring capabilities align with business needs and organizational objectives. • Manages platform roadmaps, evaluates new features and capabilities, and recommends enhancements that improve business value and user adoption. • Maintains relationships with AI and automation vendors, participating in roadmap discussions, capability reviews, and implementation planning. • Promotes platform adoption and expansion through effective governance, education, and use case development. • Monitors platform utilization and adoption, recommending improvements to maximize business value and return on investment.
