What you'll be doing Risk Assessment & Management * Conduct enterprise and operational security risk assessments. * Ensure risk statements, impact and likelihood justifications are clear and defensible. * Maintain accurate and current risk records within approved GRC tooling. Risk Management * Conduct organisational-level, third-party or product risk assessments to identify technical, process and/or procedural vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies. * Support the implementation of WPP’s Digital Security risk management framework, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. * Monitor and report on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to provide insights into WPP’s cybersecurity posture. Risk Treatment & Monitoring * Support risk owners in defining proportionate mitigation actions. * Track remediation progress and reassess residual risk. * Escalate material risk changes or overdue actions. What you'll need: Essential: * Fluent English (reading, writing, and conversation). * Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Risk Management, or equivalent * Experience in cybersecurity governance, GRC, or risk support roles. * Strong understanding of cybersecurity policies, standards, and frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST CSF). * Ability to work with governance, assurance, and technical teams to maintain clear and usable frameworks. * Strong written communication skills, with high attention to accuracy and consistency. * Foundational understanding of cloud computing models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and associated security risks. * Awareness of common cyber risk scenarios related to cloud platforms, SaaS environments, identity, and third-party integrations. * Exposure to emerging technology risks, such as AI-enabled systems, automation, and digital transformation initiatives. * Ability to assess risks across modern, distributed technology environments. * Foundational understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure-by-design approaches within modern software development lifecycles. * Ability to elevate the role to value-driven cyber risk management Nice - to- have * Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC. * Familiarity with GRC tools and risk management platforms. * Working knowledge of agile methodologies. * Experience in multinational, multicultural and matrixed companies. Description Are you an experienced credit, banking or corporate finance professional looking to apply your expertise to high-impact work that supports Queensland communities and infrastructure? At QTC, we're seeking a Client Credit Risk Specialist to join our Risk Division. In this role, you'll play a key part in assessing and monitoring credit risk across QTC's lending portfolio and investment counterparties, helping to safeguard QTC's financial sustainability while supporting the delivery of critical outcomes across Queensland. Working alongside experienced credit risk professionals, you'll provide insightful analysis, influence lending decisions, and partner with stakeholders across QTC, Queensland Treasury, government departments and Government-Owned Corporations. About the role As a Client Credit Risk Specialist , you will: Conduct periodic credit reviews of QTC's clients and counterparties. Assess new borrowing requests and prepare recommendations for relevant committees and decision-making forums. Analyse financial statements, industry trends and operating environments to identify emerging risks and opportunities. Monitor credit exposures, lending covenants, portfolio performance and credit limits. Prepare credit papers, reports and recommendations aligned with QTC's risk framework and appetite. Develop, enhance and maintain financial models, databases and analytical tools. Contribute to thematic credit reviews, market analysis and ad-hoc advisory projects. Support reporting requirements and continuous improvement initiatives across the team. Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across QTC, Queensland Treasury, government agencies, local governments, education entities and Government-Owned Corporations. Contribute to technical leadership by sharing knowledge, coaching colleagues and supporting quality outcomes. About you We're looking for a commercially minded credit risk professional who combines strong analytical capability with sound judgement and excellent stakeholder engagement skills. To be successful, you will bring: A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline. 3 - 7 years’ experience in corporate credit, banking, financial analysis, project finance, risk management or a related field. Strong expertise in financial statement analysis, credit assessment and risk evaluation. Advanced Excel modelling and financial analysis skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capability. A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration. The ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. Highly regarded: CFA, postgraduate or master's qualifications. Experience with Power BI. Experience working with government, infrastructure, utilities, banking or institutional investment environments.
