High level purpose of function.
A Quality Technician leads product and process quality compliance in production line. This role is responsible for confirming key quality attributes of intermediate products and processes as well as identifying and responding to non-conformity issues in production. In addition, this role is responsible for analysing test material, incoming parts, product intermediates and finalized products for Production using a range of instruments. This role will work closely with production staff and Quality Engineers. A Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that production processes and products meet internal and customers’ quality specifications as well as defining problems, recommending solutions and follows-up on improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Overall areas of responsibilities and activities . Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :
Lead day-to-day quality assurance activities in production ensuring that production/product quality specifications are met.
Ensure control checks are completed according to control plan in defined time.
Ensure robust start of production and coordinated quality handover between shifts.
Ensure 5S in control and measurement areas and participate in improving 5S methodology and actions together with production team.
Ensure documentation and record of product and process quality data and utilize these to improve processes.
Potential to operate various measurement equipment such as a Karl Fischer, measurement by ruler or micrometre, microscopes, perform testing with measuring instruments, perform basic data analysis, interpret data and report data/results as instructed.
Interpret data and report data/results on yearly, monthly, and daily basis.
Understand and execute the testing plans for material, incoming parts, product intermediates and finalized products.
Help identify problems with test material, analysis methods, and instrumentation.
Organize test results in the expected template and/or LIMS system and maintain control charts.
Be able to troubleshoot instrument on basic and advance problems and utilizing the help of suppliers or experts for more major issues.
Act on deviations and ensure coordination with customer processes.
Ensure imminent containment activities and decision making in case of non-conformities and quality issues.
Mentor less experienced personnel on practical aspects of the analysis methods such as sample preparation and running instruments.
Maintain the instruments to a high standard.
Ensure conformity of cleanliness requirements in process.
Conduct Layered Product audit according to schedule.
Contribute to improvement actions in area of responsibility.
Complete supplementary tasks as seen fit by management to effectively utilize time and resource for the benefit of the business.

Requirements
Educational background and previous experience required for the role
Qualifications and Experience
Professional education (ideally in industry) is a plus.
2 years experience in manufacturing and 2 years experience in quality.
Bachelor´s degree in a technical field is preferred but not required.
Previous experience of quality control from automotive industry is preferred.
Familiar with Lean and Six Sigma concepts.
Familiar with SPC, FMEA, Quality troubleshooting tools and problem-solving methodology.
Specific skills & Knowledge
Specific knowledge of quality management systems, e.g. ISO 9001, IATF16949, TQM is preferred.
Excellent English skills, both written and oral, are essential. Basic Swedish and other language skills are a plus. You should have good communication skills and be able to work in close collaboration with colleagues from many different teams.
High work ethic, critical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills are a must.
This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and perform work in controlled environments, including clean-rooms and dry-rooms, while wearing appropriate PPE. The role also requires working shifts and working in multiple process areas, according to business needs.
Job Scope Why does the role exist? High level purpose of function. The Manufacturing technician is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production and maintenance operations. This position covers a broad technical scope, including production support, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, and continuous improvements in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems. Technicians act as first-line responders to equipment and process issues, ensuring minimum downtime and maximum output and high quality. Key Responsibilities Overall areas of responsibilities and activities Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) Assure safe conditions through defined procedures (including Lock out tag out – LOTO) during equipment repairs, cleaning, or inspections. Perform risk analysis and participate in risk assessments according to established routines. Work under the defined shift model to ensure customer demand is met in the assigned production time. Troubleshoot and resolve production line issues (mechanical, electrical, automation, process) and completing validation runs of production to confirm the effectiveness of work. Support production teams with first-line problem solving and escalate unsolved issues. Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on production equipment (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic). Install, maintain, and repair equipment, wiring, and systems (mechanical assemblies, electrical systems). Inspect equipment for wear, vibrations, lubrication, or electrical faults and escalate to one level above the need for repair if necessary. Define and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability. Read and update technical documentation including (but not limited to): diagrams, blueprints, troubleshooting guidelines, checklists and work instructions. Train newly onboarded team members and colleagues in technical and safety procedures. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance program optimization. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Follow all currently implemented work instructions and standard operating procedures for repairs, troubleshooting and escalation. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the machine, product, and process. Complete supplementary tasks as seen fit by management to effectively utilize time and resource for the benefit of the business, including but not limited to running the line, completing 5S, cleaning activities & quality sampling. Requirements Educational background and previous experience required for the role Qualifications and Experience Technical/industrial background (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related). 3+ years previous experience from the manufacturing or processing industry (e.g., battery, pulp and paper, food, chemicals, microelectronics, oil & gas, pharmaceutical processing) Vocational education within Industrial/Electrical Gymnasium or equivalent. Six Sigma White or Yellow Belt certification is a plus. Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) Basic IT literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Understanding how to utilize equipment to run efficient manufacturing with energy and costing optimization. Experience in troubleshooting with specialized diagnostic equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc). Experience with equipment, piping, pumps, valves, control tools, chemicals, and electronics. Administrative competence, including experience with ERP systems, work orders, email, and incident reporting. Key Responsibilities Overall areas of responsibilities and activities. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) Develop, implement, and maintain metrology systems and measurement techniques used in battery manufacturing. Create calibration schedules and procedures to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO/IEC 17025, or other industry standards. Analyze measurement data to identify trends, support root cause analysis, and drive process improvements. Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Facility, and Manufacturing teams to define critical-to-quality (CTQ) features and tolerances. Support Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), validation activities, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies by providing accurate reports and capability studies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety practices, efficiency, and reduce waste. Work with external metrology and calibration laboratories for equipment certification and advanced testing, when needed. A Senior Automation Engineer in a cell manufacturing company plays a key role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining automated production systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. They are responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and improving PLCs, robots, and other automated equipment, supporting both new production line installations and ongoing process improvements. The role also includes ensuring accurate data transfer, system connectivity, and smooth communication with cloud platforms to enable traceability, analysis, and digital integration. Close collaboration with production, engineering, and maintenance teams is required to identify and implement solutions that improve quality, throughput, and equipment uptime. Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience within Industrial Automation in process-driven or discrete manufacturing industries such as: Battery Cell, Automotive, Chemical, Paper, Semiconductors, Pharma, Food, Warehouses, etc. Experience of working with sensors, instrumentation, servo drives and motion technology. Experience with PLC, SCADA, vision systems and CCD cameras and software, OPC connectivity and MES interfaces, especially using Siemens and/or Beckhoff systems. Experience with industrial communication protocols and network architecture including design of control systems architecture and PLC code delivering the desired system functionality. Experienced continuous improvement and root cause analysis. Experience in writing technical documentation (Requirement specifications, Functional design, UML, Test Cases, Test Records).
