As an Indirect Tax Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to work in Bangkok for Agoda Services Co. Ltd. You will be part
of a broader tax advisory team that is rapidly growing in light of the changing tax landscape for digital services. While being
part of the broader Tax and Finance team (more than 300 professionals) you will also work closely with the Product, Commercial and
Legal teams.
The aim of this position is to manage global tax advisory matters related to VAT, sales tax, GST and other indirect taxes for
Agoda, including the compliance with tax regulations across the globe, with special focus on relationship and transactions with
Strategic Partners in a fast‑evolving business environment. You will have end-to-end responsibility for your own projects from
scoping the challenge (incl. budgeting) to the overall solution (execution and implementation), including stakeholder management
and relationships with our tax advisors. While this role remains very hands-on, you will also be expected to contribute to the
long-term vision of the tax team and to share your tax technical expertise with the broader team to support their growth.
This role involves interaction with our Senior Leadership Team, US parent company, sister brands, international offices, business
managers, functional teams, IT and other finance and legal colleagues. Due to rapid growth of the organization, the tasks and
duties of this role may evolve over time. You are expected to proactively identify new areas where tax support is needed, take
initiative in shaping solutions, and take on additional challenges and responsibilities as they arise.
You will operate in a highly dynamic, project‑driven environment where business models, products and partnerships evolve rapidly,
requiring strong initiative, proactive problem‑solving and being comfortable with ambiguity.

Join our global Tax & Finance team in Singapore as a Tax Analyst supporting regional tax compliance, reporting, and operational tax processes across multiple APAC jurisdictions. Your future role within QRT: * Review corporate tax filings prepared by external tax preparers across APAC jurisdictions, including but not limited to Singapore, Hong Kong, India, and Japan. * Review and coordinate international tax filings (e.g., CbCR and Pillar 2), working with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders. * Assist with ad hoc tax advisory matters, including GST and VAT, withholding tax implications/compliance, treaty relief applications, residency certificates, and cross-border payment reviews. * Assist with transfer pricing documentation, intercompany arrangements, and related compliance obligations. * Support tax accounting and reporting, including tax provisions and reconciliations. * Liaise with Finance, Legal, HR, Operations, and external advisers to gather information required for tax filings. * Assist with tax authority enquiries, audits, and information requests across multiple jurisdictions. * Research tax technical matters and monitor developments in tax legislation and regulations across APAC. * Contribute to the enhancement of tax controls, policies, procedures, and process automation initiatives. * Support ad hoc tax projects and business initiatives as the firm continues to grow globally. Your present skillset: * 4+ years of tax experience, ideally gained through a combination of Big Four accounting firm training and/or with combination of subsequent experience within a hedge fund, investment manager, or broader financial services organisation. * Professional accounting or tax qualification required (e.g. CA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent). * Experience supporting corporate tax compliance in one or more countries across Singapore, Hong Kong, India, or Japan. * Strong knowledge of corporate income tax regimes, withholding tax requirements, and cross-border tax considerations within APAC. * Familiarity with transfer pricing principles, intercompany transactions, and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance requirements. * Experience with indirect taxes and international tax matters in a tax advisory capacity is a plus. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret tax regulations and assess their impact on the business. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Finance, Legal, HR, and Operations teams. * Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment. * Proficiency in Excel and the ability to analyse and work with large volumes of financial and tax-related data. You will be located in Singapore, but Australia is possible for an exceptional candidate. This role will report to the Director, APAC Tax, and proactively partner with our APAC Country Managers and International Markets team, Finance, Legal and Policy to anticipate and identify tax issues, recommend solutions, research and solve problems, and support go-to-market, and exercise good business judgment while performing these functions and working closely with our global tax team. The Difference You Will Make: * You will partner with internal stakeholders (Country and Territory Managers, Legal, Policy and Finance) and external advisers in response to the rapidly changing tax and legal landscape relating to technology companies: * Interface with cross-functional teams as well as external tax advisers to implement tax strategies * In alignment with HQ, interact and work closely with local and APAC Legal and Policy teams to understand and help implement the company’s tax policy goals. * As a regional tax Principal, You will own Airbnb’s tax obligations, manage risk and be the tax POC for the countries under your remit, which will include Australia, South Korea, and other geos in APAC as required. * Your work will help both guard Airbnb from tax risks within our control, as well as help Airbnb achieve its APAC growth ambitions. A Typical Day: * Manage local, country and regional-level tax negotiations, audits, negotiations with government authorities, implementations and oversee compliance.
