The Customer Experience team at Discord has the privilege of supporting our communities, listening to their feedback, and sharing
these insights with other teams to help make the Discord experience the best that it can possibly be. We’re looking for a Director
of Customer Experience to lead the next chapter of our support story: a bold, AI-powered transformation of how we serve tens of
millions of users worldwide.
You’ll inherit a talented, established team of in-house CX specialists and own the strategy, culture, and execution that defines
what great support looks like at Discord. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for a senior leader who thrives on building
world class systems that solve problems for customers. This person will report to the Senior Director of Scaled Operations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $224,000 to $252,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined
by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience,

As a Solutions Architect on the Games team at Discord, you'll serve as the technical owner for AAA game developer partnerships. You'll lead the architectural and integration work that helps studios successfully implement Discord's developer tools, including the Social SDK. We're looking for an experienced technical practitioner who wants to operate at the intersection of solution architecture, game development, and developer partnerships. You'll own the technical relationship with major studios end-to-end: from discovery and architecture, through implementation, to ongoing optimization. You'll work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering, and you'll serve as a technical resource and mentor for more junior team members. What you'll be doing * Technical Ownership * Own end-to-end solution architecture for AAA game developer accounts * Lead technical discovery sessions and architectural reviews for customer implementations across the Social SDK and Discord's broader developer toolset * Provide expert guidance on best practices for integrating Discord's Social SDK and enabling commerce across diverse game genres, engines, and platforms * Troubleshoot deep technical issues that fall outside defined processes, working independently to define scope and propose solutions * Customer Partnership * Build trusted advisor relationships with senior technical stakeholders — engineering leaders, technical directors, and architects — at AAA partner studios * Anticipate partner needs and proactively propose solutions before issues arise * Develop integration strategies for your portfolio of developers that maximize the value of Discord's developer tools * Prepare and deliver technical updates and reviews to partner stakeholders on integration progress, milestones, and optimization opportunities * Scaling & Operational Excellence * Contribute to systems, tools, and automations that evolve high-touch managed services into repeatable, scalable processes * Author reference architectures, integration playbooks, and technical documentation that lift the entire team's effectiveness * Identify patterns across accounts to drive product and process improvements * Cross-Functional Collaboration * Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to drive successful customer outcomes * Contribute to sales enablement through technical documentation, reference architectures, and case studies * Mentor more junior team members on technical best practices, integration patterns, and customer engagement * Lead initiatives spanning multiple areas and influence cross-functional partners with diverse viewpoints What you should have * Significant technical experience in game development, with hands-on exposure to multiplayer architecture * Direct experience working within a game studio or game ecosystem provider * Track record of independently owning complex, multi-month technical projects from architecture through delivery * Ability to read, understand, and discuss code across multiple languages * Familiarity with game engines (such as Unity, Unreal, proprietary), platforms, and development toolchains * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for varied audiences — from individual engineers to senior technical leaders * Demonstrated experience building and maintaining trusted technical relationships with external partners * Comfort operating in ambiguity — defining scope where none exists and proposing solutions that fall outside of defined processes Nice to have: * Experience as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Account Manager, or similar customer-facing senior technical role * Experience with gamedev-focused developer platforms or SDK integrations * Background in developer relations or developer experience * Proficiency in Korean, Mandarin, or Japanese Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma counties). Discord is looking for a Senior Manager, Sales Tools & Process to own the systems, workflows, and automation that power how Discord B2B sells and scales across business units. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Revenue Operations, you will be the single-threaded owner of Salesforce platform management, end-to-end sales process design, and AI-driven operational enhancements. This is a high-visibility IC role for someone who thrives at the intersection of systems thinking, process engineering, and hands-on technical execution. AN OVERVIEW OF THIS ROLE As the Director, Customer Experience (CX) Strategy at GitLab, you will lead the team responsible for shaping the strategic direction of our post-sales organization and turning complex customer, market, and business signals into clear decisions that improve retention, expansion, adoption, and long-term customer value. This role is a direct business partner to our Chief Customer Officer (CCO) and supports our Global Customer Experience organization which encompasses Customer Success, Renewals, and Professional Services. WHAT YOU’LL BRING * Progressive experience in strategy, analytics, customer success, renewals, revenue operations, consulting, and/or business planning roles in a B2B SaaS environment. * Strong business acumen with the ability to connect customer lifecycle strategy to operating metrics, planning decisions, financial considerations, and go-to-market outcomes. * Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority across multiple senior stakeholder groups. * Experience hiring, developing, and leading high-performing distributed teams. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear recommendations, business cases, and strategic decisions. * Fluency with key CX and GTM systems and analytical tools such as Salesforce, Gainsight, BI tools, spreadsheets, and SQL, along with comfort defining business requirements for data and tooling investments. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create executive-ready documents, decks, proposals, and recommendations. * Comfort operating in an all-remote, asynchronous, values-driven environment with a high degree of ownership, iteration, and transparency. ABOUT THE TEAM The CX Strategy team is a small, high-impact partner to the broader Customer Experience organization, focused on steering the end-to-end customer journey from purchase through adoption, renewal, expansion, and advocacy. The team works across strategy, analytics, planning, and cross-functional programs to help CX leaders make better decisions, prioritize investments, and improve customer and business outcomes. The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of the United States only. This range is intended to reflect the role's base salary rate in locations throughout the US. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, alignment with market data, and geographic location.
