Backed by leading VCs and strategic investors including Lakestar and Orendt Studios, and preparing for a Series A later this year, we’re growing fast and building technology that is already reshaping how fashion content is produced The Role: The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer is a core member of a product team, responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying high-quality software. Engineers work closely with their Team Lead (TL) and Product Manager (PM) to turn product requirements into reliable, scalable features that deliver real value to users. Engineers at Graswald operate in a highly dynamic environment, where requirements and architectures evolve quickly. This role requires comfort with ambiguity, strong ownership, and the ability to make pragmatic technical decisions with incomplete information. YOUR PROFILE Key Responsibilities * Software Design & Quality: Design and optimize scalable backend systems and high-performance frontend applications, ensuring security, performance, and maintainability. Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews to ensure quality, and reliability. * Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues in development and production environments, and proactively improve existing systems where needed. * Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with your TL, PM, and peers to align on priorities, surface blockers early, and collaborate on design and problem-solving. Contribute to technical design discussions and propose solutions. * Requirement Understanding & Implementation: Work closely with the PM and TL to understand product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications. Translate these into practical and effective technical implementations. * Continuous Learning & AI-Driven Development: Maintain a strong dedication to continuous learning and professional development, staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Actively explore, learn, and apply new AI capabilities and tools to enhance personal productivity, improve software development processes, and contribute to innovative solutions. Embrace and experiment with AI-powered development practices within the team.Research and evaluate new technologies or approaches to solve technical challenges. * Documentation: Create and maintain clear, concise technical documentation for code, system designs, and processes to facilitate understanding and onboarding for current and future team members. Qualifications: skills, abilities, and experience * Experience * Minimum 5 years of experience writing excellent, standards-compliant code. Demonstrated ability to independently design, build, and maintain production-grade software systems. * Experience working on the engineering team in a start-up, scale-up or product-driven company * Experience designing and evolving backend systems that operate reliably under increasing load. * Strong experience writing high-quality, maintainable, standards-compliant code in production systems. * Strong understanding and experience with building and consuming API-driven solutions. * Demonstrable experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies. * Specific Technology Focus * Mastery of Python and Django and strong skills in TypeScript and React. * Experience with database technologies, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and API design principles. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a methodical approach to debugging and issue resolution. Soft Skills: * Strong communication skills, high integrity, and great attention to detail. * An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to adapt and grow quickly as the organization scales. Nice to have: * Experience with generative AI tooling (Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI) or creative platforms (p5.js, Three.js). OUR MISSION Bounti is building the AI-native infrastructure layer for frontline teams — spanning training, audits, and autonomous operations. We partner with multi-location operators in frontline-industries such as hospitality. We’re hiring a Senior Product Engineer to join our founding product team in Berlin. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves ownership, sweats UX details, and ships fast, end to end delivering value for customers. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Build Product End-to-End: Own features from concept → implementation → release → iteration (frontend + backend). * Ship Fast, Learn Faster: Deliver quickly, validate with customers, and iterate. Biggest risk is building the wrong thing — not imperfect code. * Customer-Driven Engineering: Talk to users and customers directly, understand the workflow pain, and turn feedback into product improvements. * Design-First Execution: Partner closely with Ziar (Designer & Co-Founder) to create experiences that feel premium and intuitive. * Raise the Engineering Bar: Improve patterns, code quality, DX, testing, and observability without slowing down shipping. * Work Like a Founder: Prioritize ruthlessly, own outcomes, and help shape what “great product engineering” looks like at Bounti. YOUR PROFILE * You have a strong product sense — you care about UX, clarity, and the tiny details that make software feel “right”. * You’re strong on the backend (you’ve built and scaled real production systems) — and you’re not afraid to go deep when needed. * You’re pragmatic and impact-driven: you know when to polish and when to ship to learn. * You write clean, understandable, maintainable code — and you communicate context early and often. * You enjoy getting close to the problem: talking to customers, understanding real-world constraints, building solutions that stick. * Experience with our stack is a plus: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Postgres, Prisma. Bonus points if you have: * Built AI product features (LLMs, agents, workflows, evaluation, etc.) * Mobile product experience (Flutter, React Native or similar) * ML experience You’ll work extremely closely with: * Çağatay (Senior Product Engineer) * Emanuele (Senior Product Engineer) * Yannick (Software Engineer) * Ziar (Designer & Co-Founder) …and often with Deniz (Co-Founder) who brings constant customer perspective.
