The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the deployment, configuration and ongoing support of enterprise infrastructure
across both virtual and physical environments. The role focuses on Windows Server deployments, clustering technologies, storage
integration (MPIO), identity and access solutions (PingFederate, UserLock MFA), and application onboarding within a secure, highly
available environment.

The role is a unique blend of infrastructure and internal tooling to reduce friction at every step of delivering an amazing customer experience. As part of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in scaling our infrastructure, reducing toil through automation, and contributing to our culture of innovation and continuous improvement. HOW YOU’LL HELP US WIN * By 30 Days: * Use your observability background to help scale our existing tools to new heights as we continue to grow the platform. * Enhance our existing automation for scaling our infrastructure and improve the development experience. * By 90 Days: * Play a key role in continuing to diversify and scale our platform across additional regions. * Evaluate options to replace our existing real-time data pipeline for enhanced multi-regional capabilities. * Provide platform support to all of engineering, using data-driven decision-making. * By 1 Year: * Work with engineering to re-evaluate what observability means for the Fathom platform, and drive improvements to remove friction * Help us design and implement improvements to our elastic multi-regional storage platform. * Drive platform improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency REQUIREMENTS Hard Skills: * Proficiency with and preference for Infrastructure as Code / GitOps tooling. * Foundation in Observability best practices and implementation. * Experience in a SaaS or PaaS environment. * Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), including proficiency with GCP/GKE networking * Familiarity with our tech stack: Message Queues, Prometheus, ClickHouse, ArgoCD, Github Actions, Golang. ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who is excited to build the foundation that powers our product as we enter a new stage of growth. In this role, you’ll design and maintain the systems that keep our platform fast, reliable, observable, and secure. You’ll own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, automation, and production operations. You’ll have more ownership than at most companies — you’ll shape architecture, make decisions that impact the entire engineering organization, and work across the stack to ensure our platform scales smoothly. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using modern Infrastructure-as-Code tools. * Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems as the product grows. * Own CI/CD pipelines and improve developer workflows, tooling, and automation. * Partner closely with backend and frontend engineers to design resilient system architectures. * Monitor system health and performance, and lead improvements to observability and alerting. * Ensure best practices for security, secrets management, and least-privilege access. * Drive incident response, root-cause analysis, and ongoing reliability improvements. * Help shape engineering processes, deployment strategies, and long-term infrastructure roadmap. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * 3–6+ years experience in infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles. * Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). * Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.). * Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes or similar orchestration tools. * Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, distributed systems, and system performance. * Familiarity with logging, metrics, tracing, and modern observability stacks. * A pragmatic, automation-first mindset. * Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment with a high degree of ownership. * Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach. NICE-TO-HAVES * Experience managing production environments at scale. * Background in security engineering or compliance frameworks. * Experience with service mesh, event-driven architectures, or multi-region deployments. * Comfort building internal tooling for developers. * Interest in helping build the engineering culture as the company grows.
