Team/ Role Paragraph: The FP&A team is at the heart of Coinbase's strategic execution, translating our ambitious mission to unlock economic freedom into a sustainable financial reality. We own the company’s financial roadmap, from the annual operating plan and rolling forecasts to the in-depth business reviews that ensure we drive efficiency and make informed trade offs As a Senior Financial Analyst on the FP&A team, you'll serve as the financial partner to Consumer leadership, owning the analysis and planning that guides how we allocate resources and drive efficiency across one of Coinbase's largest business lines. The FP&A team owns the company's financial roadmap, from the annual operating plan and rolling forecasts to the business reviews that power strategic trade-offs, and your work will directly shape how Consumer scales. What you'll do: * Own end-to-end forecasting, budgeting, and monthly financial deliverables for Consumer OpEx, ensuring precision and on-time delivery across all planning cycles. * Build and maintain driver-based financial models that quantify risks, opportunities, and scenario outcomes for Consumer leadership. * Drive monthly variance analysis and month-end close for your areas, partnering with Accounting to maintain data integrity across all financial reporting. * Partner with Consumer Product, Engineering, Design, and cross-functional leads to translate financial insights into actionable resource allocation recommendations. * Lead the preparation and presentation of financial analyses during business reviews, converting complex data into clear strategic recommendations. * Execute proactive deep-dive analyses to surface trends, anomalies, and efficiency opportunities across Consumer operational spend. Required Skills and Experience: * 5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate finance with direct ownership of OpEx planning (headcount, marketing spend, product operations, or similar categories). * Track record managing operating large expense budgets, delivering forecasts, and producing variance analysis that informed executive decisions. * Demonstrated experience building driver-based financial models and scenario analyses in Excel, with proficiency in SQL for data analysis and at least one planning tool (e.g., Anaplan, NetSuite). * History of partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, or Design teams to align financial plans with business priorities and influence resource allocation. * Experience in a high-growth tech, fintech, or financial services environment with comfort operating across multiple concurrent workstreams. * Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality. SENIOR ASSOCIATE, FCM The FCM Operations team supports Coinbase Financial Markets, Inc. across US Futures, Prediction Markets, and Options by managing back-office operations including trade flow management, position management, margin monitoring, regulatory reporting, and business analytics. As a Senior Associate, FCM, you'll own exception management and operational readiness for new product launches, ensuring our derivatives infrastructure scales reliably while meeting regulatory expectations. What you'll do: * Own exception management across cash, positions, trades, and margin, including triage, investigation, resolution, and implementation of durable fixes * Lead operational readiness for new product launches, covering UAT/test case design, playbooks, cutover plans, and post-launch stabilization * Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance, Accounting, and Engineering to design processes, controls, and reporting that scale and meet regulatory expectations * Establish monitoring and exception reporting frameworks (SLAs, KPIs, dashboards) and run incident triage with clear escalation paths * Drive root cause analysis and post-mortems, translating learnings into product and process improvements * Identify and implement automation and tooling to reduce operational friction and manual work Required Skills and Experience: * 5+ years in financial services or fintech operations with FCM, broker-dealer, or listed derivatives experience, emphasizing trade operations, margin, or exception management * Demonstrated analytical problem-solving in exception-based operations with strong prioritization and escalation judgment * Product launch and operational readiness experience, including requirements gathering, UAT execution, playbook development, and go-live support * Effective cross-functional business partnering with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Compliance teams in fast-moving environments * Working knowledge of listed derivatives characteristics and interest in blockchain/cryptocurrency markets * Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
