Who We Are Addepar is a global data and AI platform empowering investment professionals to turn complex financial information into actionable intelligence. Addepar unifies portfolio, market and client data in a total portfolio view and delivers AI-powered insights within investment and client workflows. More than 1,400 firms in nearly 60 countries use Addepar to manage and advise on nearly $9 trillion in assets. Its open platform integrates with nearly 650 software, data and consulting partners to power end-to-end investment operations across firms of all sizes and complexity. Addepar supports clients worldwide with offices in New York City, Salt Lake City, London, Edinburgh, Pune, Dubai, Geneva, Singapore and São Paulo. THE ROLE We are seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead Addepar’s Files Platform. Files touch nearly every workflow at Addepar: client reporting, alternatives document lineage, collaboration with external parties like tax advisors, and audit trails for sophisticated global firms. As we serve more large RIAs, family offices, banks, and alternatives-heavy institutions, how we manage documents becomes a core differentiator for client trust and platform value. We're replatforming our file management experience onto an enterprise content partner (Box), creating a foundation for stronger search, metadata, permissions, sharing, and workflow capabilities. This role owns what comes next: taking that foundation and turning it into an intelligent document workflow layer that serves clients, internal teams, and downstream product surfaces. On the platform side, you'll shape commercial and technical strategy around a major partner integration, deciding where Addepar should leverage vendor capabilities versus where we build differentiated product, workflow, and API surfaces. On the intelligence side, you'll define how capabilities like document summarization, auto-classification, content-based search, and workflow automation can make file management meaningfully smarter for enterprise users while maintaining the auditability and permissioning controls they require. You'll own product strategy and execution across migration completion, platform buildout, and roadmap definition. This is a cross-functional role that requires aligning engineering, design, security, legal, and client-facing teams around a shared vision for how files work at Addepar. Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York. The current range for this role is $142,000 - $223,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additionally, these ranges reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without requiring current or future visa sponsorship (for example, employment-based visas such as H-1B, F-1/OPT, or similar), and must be authorized to begin work in the U.S. on their first day of employment. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Own product strategy end-to-end for the Files Platform, from migration completion through next-generation search, metadata, sharing, workflow, and API capabilities * Drive product discovery across user groups (advisors, operations, end clients, API consumers, internal teams) and translate findings into a prioritized roadmap * Align multiple product and engineering teams around a unified Files vision, building a true platform that delivers value across Addepar solutions including reporting, Portal, Alternatives, ADM, and more. * Own the roadmap for a substantial product area, balancing migration / parity work, urgent client needs, platform foundations, technical dependencies, compliance requirements, partner capabilities, and longer-term strategic opportunities. * Deliver a modern files experience with improvements to file search, filtering, sharing, metadata organization, and high-volume upload/download workflows * Make build-vs-partner decisions, determining where Addepar should leverage our content platform partner versus where we need differentiated product, workflow, or data capabilities * Abstract common document workflow needs from downstream teams (reporting, Portal, Alternatives, ADM) into reusable platform capabilities that accelerate product velocity across Addepar * Build intelligent document capabilities like summarization, auto-classification, content-based search, and workflow automation with appropriate enterprise controls around permissioning and auditability * Own migration and adoption outcomes, ensuring clients move to the new platform with minimal disruption and clear value unlocks * Define success metrics (adoption, search effectiveness, API usage, migration progress, support volume, client satisfaction) and communicate progress to leadership * Influence senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Design, Security, Legal, Operations, and Client Success, making tradeoffs across user needs, technical constraints, compliance, and commercial value WHO YOU ARE * 7+ years of Product Management experience, or equivalent industry / subject matter expertise in fintech, SaaS, enterprise software, data platforms, workflow products, document management, collaboration tools, or infrastructure-heavy product areas. * A track record of owning product strategy and execution end-to-end, from discovery through launch, adoption, and measurable outcomes. You are data-driven and impact-oriented. * A strong systems thinker comfortable with technically complex products involving APIs, permissioning, metadata, search, migrations, integrations, and data models * A clear and persuasive communicator; you simplify complexity and build alignment across product, engineering, design, security, legal, and go-to-market * Deeply customer- and workflow-oriented, with empathy for the full range of users who depend on files: advisors, end clients, operations teams, API consumers, and external collaborators like tax advisors and auditors * Ability to make sound build-vs-buy/partner decisions and articulate the tradeoffs to a diverse range of internal stakeholders * Commercially thoughtful, with the ability to connect Files Platform investments to client adoption, retention, expansion, operational efficiency, partner strategy, and future monetization opportunities. * Interested in the future of intelligent document workflows, including how AI, metadata, search, classification, summarization, and workflow automation can make enterprise file systems more useful, secure, and actionable. * Thrives in complex, high-ownership environments where the work involves both near-term execution and long-term platform strategy across multiple teams and stakeholder groups. Our Values * Act Like an Owner - Think and operate with intention, purpose and care. Own outcomes. * Build Together - Collaborate to unlock the best solutions. Deliver lasting value. * Champion Our Clients - Exceed client expectations. Our clients’ success is our success. * Drive Innovation - Be bold and unconstrained in problem solving. Transform the industry. * Embrace Learning - Engage our community to broaden our perspective. Bring a growth mindset. In addition to our core values, Addepar is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We commit to promoting a welcoming environment where inclusion and belonging are held as a shared responsibility. We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment. Please contact us to request accommodation. PHISHING SCAM WARNING: Addepar is among several companies recently made aware of a phishing scam involving con artists posing as hiring managers recruiting via email, text and social media. The imposters are creating misleading email accounts, conducting remote “interviews,” and making fake job offers in order to collect personal and financial information from unsuspecting individuals. Please be aware that no job offers will be made from Addepar without a formal interview process. Additionally, Addepar will not ask you to purchase equipment or supplies as part of your onboarding process. If you have any questions, please reach out to ta-operations@addepar.com [tainfo@addepar.com].
