We are seeking an experienced Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the
investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of complex third-party liability claims involving bodily injury, personal
injury, and allegations of wrongdoing. Claims may include General Liability, Auto Liability, Errors & Omissions, and Law
Enforcement Liability exposures.
The ideal candidate will possess strong investigative skills, excellent judgment, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to
independently manage claims through resolution while maintaining compliance with client requirements and applicable regulations.
GREY COUNTY'S LONG-TERM CARE DEPARTMENT IS RECRUITING A PERMANENT PART-TIME (NO GUARANTEED HOURS) RECREATIONIST AT LEE MANOR IN OWEN SOUND. THIS JOB POSTING IS FOR AN EXISTING VACANCY. Applications will be accepted until Friday, July 17, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PURPOSE Reporting to the Resident and Family Services Manager, the Aide/Assistant will provide recreation therapies to residents according to their assessed needs. The Aide/Assistant will work in collaboration with all other clinical care providers to optimize the resident’s experience. The Aide/Assistant is required to perform their duties in a manner that is consistent with the Core Values of the home that supports the ‘Colour It’ resident led philosophy of care to ensure resident safety, and demonstrate customer service excellence. RESPONSIBILITIES GENERAL * Provides for recreation and leisure activities including outings in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care and within the scope of practice; * Contributes to and sustains a plan of care to meet residents’ assessed need; * Assist in planning for assigned resident area activity calendars in accordance with the care plan goals and preferences of the residents on each home area; * Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete records of care delivered; * Demonstrates a professional working knowledge of all equipment used in the delivery of care; * Follows all corporate policies and procedures; contributes to the development of site specific recreation therapy policies as indicated; * Identifies appropriate therapeutic recreation goals and interventions on the care plans of identified residents; * Seeks direction from the RFSM when resident need exceeds experience or scope of practice. CARE COORDINATION * Follows established job routines on a daily basis; * Effectively participates in care conferences; * Ensures that care provided is documented as required in a timely manner using the assigned documentation tools. QUALITY MANAGEMENT * Participates in all aspects of the Quality and Risk Management program as it pertains to recreation and leisure activities; and contributes to the development of recommendations for corrective action; * Maintains personal accountability for completion of monthly audits as assigned; * Participates in meetings on a regular basis and contributes to discussion and planning. * Ensure all documentation is accurate and timely. FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY * Ensures appropriate utilization of all supplies and equipment. HUMAN RESOURCES * Participates in an effective orientation, and performance management process in accordance with County of Grey standards for all employees within the recreation department; * Identifies learning needs and communicates to leadership within the home; * Models positive working relationships with the union and employee representatives; * Actively participates in the annual education program. * Ensures appropriate utilization of all supplies and equipment. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY * Advises supervisor or designate immediately of all staff incidents that may result in an Occupational Accident Claim, any concerns with the physical plant, incidents or injuries and completes required reports; * Follows all health and safety policies and procedures. Works safely to reduce the risk of injury to self, co-workers, and residents; * Wears personal protective equipment as designated; * Maintains a clean, safe environment for residents utilizing infection control principles; * Maintains a sound working knowledge of their roles and responsibilities during all emergency situations when working different shifts. FAMILY & RESIDENT RELATIONS * Contributes to positive customer service with residents and families in day to day work. MINISTRY OF LONG-TERM CARE COMPLIANCE * Contributes to good working relationships with relevant persons within the Ministry of Long-Term Care (MLTC); * Knows MLTC legislation, regulation and process; * Contributes to the implementation of processes and systems to ensure compliance to all standards on an ongoing basis. WORKING CONDITIONS * Modern facility, temperature controlled, smoke free environment; * Hours of work include scheduled shifts and call-ins, and may include day, evening, weekdays and weekends. There is a requirement to work statutory holidays; * Work is in a home-like medical care area and requires interaction with residents and their families. The workplace is fast paced, with frequent disruptions and distractions, while meeting preset deadlines. Must be flexible to changing needs of the residents, staff and operational issues, as they are presented. IDENTIFIED HAZARDS * Physical Demands Analysis outlined on pages 5 – 9; * Potential exposure to bodily fluids through regular Resident contact; * Some stress resulting from dealing with Resident care needs, behaviours and time pressures; * Exposure to unexpected behaviours of Residents (i.e. yelling, swinging of arms, aggressive behaviours, etc.); * Exposure to Occupational Diseases of Residents (i.e. Influenza). CONTACTS INTERNAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Resident and Family Services Manager, other managers, other department staff, Residents EXTERNAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Families, MOHLTC Inspectors, Entertainers/Guests, contract service providers, volunteers KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL * Recreation and Social Activity staff must have completed a diploma or degree in recreation/leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology or other related field from a recognized college or university or have qualifications as identified under the Ontario Regulations 246/22 73 (a), (b), (c). * Experience working in a long term care setting is an asset; * Good oral and written communication skills; * Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment; * Knowledge of programming needs for older adults diagnosed with dementia; * Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends; * Basic computer skills (experience in computerized documentation an asset). Schedule: PRN/As-Needed to pick up for PTO and sick time. Location: In the community, seeing patients in their homes and facilities. Pay: $23.29 to $25.40 per hour JOB SUMMARY The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing direct personal services to our Hospice patients. The CNA will travel from patient home to patient home in order to provide care in their primary residence. TRU CNAs provide patient care in a manner that promotes the interdisciplinary team approach, respects patients, and the family's goals for care. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS * Must possess a current Colorado CNA license * 1+ years of experience as a CNA * Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED * Must possess a valid driver’s license, provide proof of insurance indicating you have both Bodily Injury & Property Damage coverage, and have reliable transportation * Must comply with agency health screening and immunization requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES * Provides patients with personal care as designated in the plan of care; understands Colorado law related to the supervision and delegation process from RN to CNA * Understands general physical symptoms as they relate to end of life and has an understanding of non-medical interventions * Performs transferring and positioning utilizing appropriate equipment per standards of practice and with patient safety as priority; understands good body mechanics and use of safety and transfer devices to prevent injury to self and patient * Incorporates patient/family preferences and goals within the plan of care * Supports and respects the patient’s and family’s unique diversity, including spiritual and cultural beliefs
Schedule: 3 13-hour shifts every 2 weeks One weekday 8:00am-9:00pm every other week & every other Saturday & Sunday 8:00am-9:00pm Note: Weekday is flexible and will be determined in scheduling with the supervisor Incentive: $4.00 per hour on-call shift differential pay for shifts after 5:00pm weeknights and all day for weekend shifts, in addition to base pay Position Summary: The Flex/After-Hours Hospice RN delivers compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals receiving comprehensive health care services in a variety of home care settings, including private residences, skilled nursing facilities, personal care homes, or wherever the patient calls home. This hybrid role supports continuity of care outside of regular business hours and also provides flexible dayshift coverage based on the evolving needs of the hospice team. These needs may include responding to urgent patient needs, managing symptoms, supporting new admissions, and assisting with ongoing case management. A Registered Nurse in this position will have strong communication skills, the competence to work autonomously, professionalism to work within an interdisciplinary team, and the ability to provide care with empathy. Requirements: * A graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing. * Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse through the Kentucky Board of Nursing or participating COMPACT state Board of Nursing. * One year of general nursing experience is preferred. New nursing graduates will be considered. * Skilled in nursing practice and able to maintain professionalism in moments of emotional stress. * Provide care in a compassionate nature while serving a diverse population respectfully and professionally. * Complies with accepted professional and ethical standards and principles. * Understands and supports the hospice philosophy and principles of death and dying. * Possesses and maintains current CPR certification. * Have satisfactory references from nursing schools, previous (or current) employers and/or professional peers. * Have excellent observation, good nursing judgment and communication skills. Ability to provide accurate and timely documentation. * Self-directed to work with minimal supervision and within an interdisciplinary team * Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation to meet the needs of patients and BCN. * Team members will be expected to comply with Bluegrass Care Navigators (BCN) Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies. * Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements, with personal auto liability insurance of $100,000/$300,000 in bodily injury coverage.
