Position Overview : Outsight operates a Hybrid SaaS architecture and is shifting its operational focus from infrastructure-heavy systems support to application-level support. In this role, you maintain the daily stability of live customer deployments. You will isolate software incidents, parse application logs, and escalate verified product defects to the L2 Customer Engineering team. This position requires participating in a scheduled night and weekend on-call rotation. What will be your responsibilities? Operational Handover: Validate that new customer deployments meet documentation, alert thresholds, and tracking metric standards before accepting operational ownership from Field Application Engineers (FAEs). Technical Triaging: Triage incoming tickets, reproduce application defects in test environments, and escalate unresolved software issues to L2 engineering with targeted log data. Production Operations: Execute scheduled configuration changes, system health audits, and remote software updates on live production environments. Documentation: Write and maintain internal runbooks and technical troubleshooting guides to standardize incident resolution workflows. Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Reconstruct incident timelines and extract log data to submit bug reports to Product and Engineering teams. What are the requirements for the role? Experience: 3+ years supporting live production software environments within technical support, system administration, deployment engineering, or site reliability engineering (SRE). Linux Skills: Direct experience with Linux/Unix command-line navigation, system administration utilities, log parsing, and remote diagnostics. Infrastructure & Networking: Experience navigating hybrid environments combining physical hardware, TCP/IP networking (DNS, VPNs, firewalls, VLANs), and cloud services. Incident Communication: Experience providing technical timelines and status updates to internal stakeholders during critical incidents. Languages: Professional fluency in English. French language proficiency is an asset. Flexibility: Availability to participate in a scheduled night and weekend on-call rotation. Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with Bash, Python, SQL, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, or Prometheus. Background in IoT, edge computing, or computer vision environments. We are seeking an IT Service Desk Technician (L1) to provide frontline onsite IT support for warehouse and office operations. This role is responsible for daily user support, computer setup, printer support, handheld device support, and basic network troubleshooting in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Additional hands-on duties include hardware replacement, system installation, and ticket resolution. This role will initially split time between the old (Markham) and new (Vaughan) warehouses. In the future, they will be based at the new warehouse full-time. Responsibilities: Install and configure Windows operating systems, office software, and standard applications. Support desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, and peripherals. Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Support barcode scanners, PDA devices, handheld terminals, and label printers. Handle printer maintenance, paper jams, toner replacement, and label printing issues. Configure basic network settings including IP, Wi-Fi, and printer connectivity. Prepare and deploy IT equipment for new users and warehouse operations. Respond to IT tickets and provide onsite support within SLA requirements. Maintain IT asset inventory and basic documentation. Escalate complex issues to L2 engineers when necessary. Qualifications: One+ year of IT support experience. Basic knowledge of Windows OS, computer hardware, printers, and handheld devices. Familiar with basic networking concepts and troubleshooting. Experience with ticketing systems and onsite user support. Strong customer service and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in warehouse, logistics, retail, or manufacturing environments. Experience supporting Zebra or Honeywell handheld devices. Experience with label printing systems. Basic knowledge of Intune or MDM tools.
