About the Role
We're looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial Associate Commercial and Product Counsel to join our team at Contentsquare's France headquarters in Paris. Reporting to the EMEA Commercial and Product Legal Director, you will be an independent contributor and key member of the EMEA Commercial Legal Team.

What you’ll be doing * Draft, review, negotiate, and redline a range of commercial contracts, including SaaS, data protection, reseller, partnership, vendor, and employment-related agreements. * Provide clear, business-oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders on day-to-day operational matters, contract structuring, and risk mitigation. * Advise on legal matters relating to employment law, intellectual property, and product-related issues. * Liaise with external legal counsel and manage internal workflows to ensure timely closure of legal matters. * Maintain contract and legal trackers, MIS, and documentation systems to ensure up-to-date records and streamlined reporting. * Conduct legal research and analysis on evolving laws and regulations impacting the company. * Participate in broader legal projects and cross-functional initiatives as required. * Uphold a solution-oriented mindset and proactively identify process improvements and operational efficiencies. What You’ll Bring * LL.B. from a recognised law school in India with 1–2 years of post-qualification experience in a start-up, reg-tech, fintech, bank, or MNC environment, with a strong commercial and employment law background. * Strong experience in contract drafting, redlining, negotiation, and legal risk assessment. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to simplify legal language for business stakeholders. * Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Proficiency in MS Office and comfort using modern productivity and AI-based tools to streamline routine legal tasks. * High integrity, accountability, and a solution-oriented mindset. * Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively while taking full ownership of assigned matters from start to finish. Experience working closely with high-growth business development teams. * Transactional training at a top-tier law firm, with experience advising on complex, high-value commercial matters. * Experience at or representing technology companies strongly preferred. * Working knowledge of data privacy and security frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) as they apply to commercial agreements, including data sharing, processing, and licensing provisions. * Demonstrated record of successfully managing significant aspects of complex commercial matters. * Thrives juggling multiple complex, high-stakes projects at a time in a fast-paced, high-growth environment - moving quickly without sacrificing quality - both collaborating as part of a team and working independently. * Interest in expanding the scope of your practice, attention to details, and ability to thrive in ambiguity and navigate novel deal structures with confidence and sound judgment. * Highly motivated, efficient, and organized. * Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. * Warm, approachable, and genuinely collaborative - someone who builds trust quickly with business clients and enjoys being a real partner, not just a legal gatekeeper. * Good sense of humor, disdain for drama, and desire to get things done. * Passion for travel and home sharing and deep appreciation for the Airbnb community. * Licensed attorney in good standing of the bar of at least one U.S. state or territory. Who you are: * Educational Background: A university degree in Law is highly desirable. Alternatively, you have relevant professional experience reviewing, drafting and providing legal feedback on commercial agreements, partnership agreements, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), confidentiality agreements and other legal documentation within a regulated environment. Having familiarity with European financial services regulation, including areas such as MiCAR, MiFID, PSD2/PSD3, AML/CFT or outsourcing requirements, is a strong advantage. * Professional Experience: You have experience supporting regulated financial services, fintech, banking, payments, digital assets or other regulated industries, either in a compliance, legal, regulatory or commercial advisory capacity.
