The Role
As an Inspection Engineer at Nevita, you will take on a long-term consultant assignment supporting a major industrial client in an active refinery environment. The role is based on-site in Nynäshamn, where you will work full-time as an integrated part of the client’s organization, while having Nevita as your employer and professional home.
This is a hands-on position that combines field-based inspection work with documentation, reporting, and follow-up. You will support daily inspection activities at the site and related facilities, covering pressure equipment, piping, tanks, heat exchangers, fired heaters, valves, and structural steel. Depending on operational needs and shutdown activities, the role may involve travel within Sweden and occasionally to the UK.
You will work closely with the client’s Inspection Manager, operations, maintenance teams, and external inspectors to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient inspection execution.
Performing and supporting daily inspection activities on-site and at other locations when required
Carrying out visual inspections and, when qualified, NDT activities
Supporting inspections during shutdowns and maintenance campaigns
Documenting inspection results and preparing technical reports in the client’s inspection systems
Following up on findings, deviations, and repair actions together with inspection and maintenance teams
Supporting compliance with PED, AFS, and site-specific requirements
Coordinating with operations, maintenance, and third-party inspectors
Contributing to improved inspection methods, documentation quality, and data consistency
Maintaining strong safety awareness and good safety behavior on site
You will play a key role in the client’s daily inspection work, contributing directly to plant integrity, safety, and long-term reliability.
Who Are You?
You are an Inspection Engineer with experience from heavy process industry, preferably within oil & gas or refinery environments. You combine technical understanding with a practical, hands-on approach and are comfortable working both in the field and with documentation.
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a similar technical field
Around 3–5 years of experience in inspection within oil & gas, refinery, or heavy process industry
Experience with pressure equipment, piping, tanks, and related assets
Familiarity with PED and AFS regulations
NDT certification (UT, PT, MT, RT), which is a strong advantage
The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with both client and consulting teams
Fluency in English; Swedish is a strong advantage
Willingness to travel when required

Axis R&D is growing its Stockholm office, and we are looking for a Secure Boot Engineer to join Technologies, the department responsible for developing the product platforms at the heart of all Axis video surveillance products. You will join the Common Core Platform team, part of the Product Platforms department within Axis R&D's Technologies organization. The Product Platforms department currently consists of four highly skilled and motivated R&D teams. Three of them are today entirely based in Lund, but Common Core Platform spans both Lund and Stockholm. All teams feature a great mix of junior and senior members. The Common Core Platform team in Stockholm develops and configures software for some of Axis' next-generation video surveillance platforms. These platforms are built on ARTPEC, Axis' own system-on-chip, designed in-house. The platforms we develop are Linux-based and the development environment is also Linux. The team works on requirements, design, implementation, and validation of the boot, security and CPU subsystems. In addition to working closely with some of the Product Platform teams in Lund, the team also collaborates closely with the ASIC team based in our Stockholm office. What will you do as Secure Boot Engineer? In your daily work, you will typically engage in the following activities: Collaborate with ASIC design engineers to develop secure and efficient boot solutions Write and maintain robust, secure, reliable and high-quality code Design, implement, and use test environments to validate your code Participate in design reviews and technical discussions to ensure the quality and feasibility of solutions Stay informed about industry advancements related to secure boot and incorporate relevant trends into your work In this role, you will (together with some skilled colleagues) mainly be working in the following areas: BootROM and boot loader software (primary responsibility) Developing environment for pre-silicon development and validation (e.g. QEMU) Secure boot through all boot stages Firmware for subsystems with their own CPU core Who are we looking for: We are looking for a senior engineer with at least 5 years of working experience in embedded systems development. You are an analytical and dedicated person with a strong personal drive and an ability to work both unsupervised and as a part of a team. You have the ability to think ahead and design future-proof solutions. You possess strong attention to detail and take pride in developing code that meets the highest quality and security standards. Required qualifications: A Master's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Experience in embedded C development, particularly close to hardware Knowledge and hands-on experience in secure development and testing practices Familiarity with version control systems and code review tools (preferably Git and Gerrit) Strongly preferred qualifications: A strong interest and expertise in the boot process of embedded devices, with prior experience in developing BootROMs and first-stage bootloaders Experience with ARM architectures and platforms Experience working with RTL simulation and related tools to verify BootROM functionality before silicon is available Experience using QEMU to build or maintain system simulation environments Basic understanding of how functional blocks in an ASIC are designed Additional valuable qualifications: Experience with Python and Rust development Experience developing or evaluating countermeasures against fault-injection attacks during the boot process The position is office-based and you will be located in Axis office in Stockholm, Sweden. POSITION SUMMARY: The Refueling and Remote Handling Group is responsible for fuel and reactor module handling, including its remote disassembly, inspection, and assembly during the reactor refueling process. The group provides for the design of remotely operated or controlled automated, robotic, and tele-operated reactor servicing tools and inspection equipment for use by NuScale in a variety of operating environments. The mission of the group is to provide efficient, safe, and reliable tools, equipment and processes that ensure refueling outage performance objectives are achieved. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity and innovation. Provides and utilizes system engineering input in the development of reactor servicing tools, inspection equipment, and control systems. Prepares, checks, and reviews engineering reports, system descriptions and specifications, drawings, calculations, and other design documents with particular emphasis on reactor servicing tooling and inspection systems, machine and component design. Works on complex tasks in multiple and diverse areas. Work collaboratively with the Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) Component design organization to ensure adequate features are provided to interface with NuScale’s reactor servicing tools to ensure that functional and performance requirements are met. Works closely with Systems Engineering and the Operations group to develop work sequences and handling plans as part of an integrated tool design scheme. Develops and maintains engineering standards and criteria. Assists in the planning and organization of complex engineering work. Performs innovative and complex engineering assignments on a team dedicated to the development of an engineered product; interprets scope and requirements of projects; develops alternative methods to achieve project goals. Experience implementing engineering design processes to design mechanical handling equipment and systems is also required. Prior experience operating in a nuclear operating environment is preferred.
