Pay Range: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour Job Summary: Second Cycle, in partnership with our non-profit partners, is dedicated to collecting clothing and household donations. We are seeking a dedicated Donation Attendant to join our team. This role involves collecting donations, recording information, maintaining a clean and professional site, organizing donations, and assisting drivers during pickup. The ideal candidate should possess physical strength, stamina, the ability to work effectively in various weather conditions, and a commitment to providing friendly and courteous service to donors and the public. Responsibilities: * Collect donations from donors in a courteous and professional manner. * Record information related to donations on company-issued equipment. * Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing Second Cycle. * Organize donations within the designated trailer. * Assist drivers during the loading process when pickups are scheduled. * Always provide friendly and welcoming service to donors and the public. * Perform any other duties assigned by your manager. Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and carry it for short distances. * Physical stamina to stand, walk, climb, and bend for extended periods. * Strong back and abdominal muscles to maintain proper posture while operating equipment and lifting heavy objects. * Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation. * Good hearing to detect warning signals and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors. Language Requirements: * Basic comprehension of written and verbal instructions in English is necessary. * Basic communication skills, including speaking, writing, reading, and comprehending English. Pay Range: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour Job Summary The Driver is responsible for operating a box truck to pick up donated items, including small furniture, household goods, clothing, and other miscellaneous items, from donors. This position requires excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with donors, as well as the ability to safely lift and load heavy items onto the vehicle. The Driver also maintains accurate records of all donations, including donor information, item descriptions, and quantities, ensuring all items are securely transported to the Company’s warehouse or designated locations. Overall, the Driver plays a key role in the organization's mission by collecting donations that are converted into funds for our charitable partners. This position requires a dependable and organized individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities * Safely operate a box truck following all traffic rules and regulations. * Follow designated pickup routes efficiently to maximize the number of donations collected and minimize travel time. * Communicate with donors courteously and professionally while coordinating pickups. * Load and unload donated items into and out of the pickup vehicle safely. * Ensure that items are handled with care and securely packed to prevent damage during transportation. * Maintain a clean and organized pickup vehicle, conducting regular inspections, and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns. * Accurately record donation details, including item descriptions and donor information. * Provide exceptional customer service, thanking donors for their contributions and positively representing the organization. * Report any unique or valuable donations to management. * Follow health and safety protocols, especially when handling potentially hazardous or sensitive items. * Efficiently and safely unload donated items upon returning to the store, organizing them in designated areas for sorting and processing. * Stay informed about the organization’s mission and goals to communicate effectively with donors and the public. * Attend training sessions and meetings to improve skills and stay current on procedures and policies. Qualifications * Valid driver’s license. * Clean driving record and ability to pass a motor vehicle records check. * Proven ability to operate a box truck safely and efficiently. * Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations applicable to large commercial vehicles. * Ability to work independently and adhere to a set schedule. * Proficiency in maneuvering the truck in tight spaces. * Flexible schedule to accommodate changes in pickup routes or schedules. * High school diploma or GED preferred.
