The Tolleson operation is a two-shift fabrication, one-shift harvest, distribution center and warehouse located in the City of Tolleson, in Maricopa County, Arizona. In 1981, the name was changed to Sun Land Beef Co. and in 1996, it became part of Packerland Packing. Maintenance Responsibilities This position ensures all aspects of the maintenance mechanic functions are performed in a safety and acceptable method. Performs preventative maintenance procedures on all equipment that is assigned by the maintenance supervisors/lead hand. Assist other areas of the plant when major problems occur Functional Requirements Completes all assigned tasks scheduled and unscheduled work as directed by supervisor Assist in the day to day operations of the maintenance department. Our Values: Responsibilities: Monitor all production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery. Complete assigned work orders. Adhere to Safety Procedures including, but limited to Lock Out Tag Out, Power Industrial Truck, Scissor Lift, Harness/Fall Protection, etc Adjust, repair and replace electrical and electronic equipment. Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance. Complete required paperwork. Completes assigned responsibilities and oversees the mechanical work of equipment. Responsible for correcting or facilitating correctable measures when downtime results from mechanical or technical defects. Processes maintenance downtime report for corporate and plant management. Assigns work orders or special projects to maintenance employees. Maintains department budget within specified guidelines. Conducts pre-operational inspection and handles maintenance concerns of Production Supervisors to make sure operation begins as scheduled. Work 40+ hours per week in all areas of the plant. You will be troubleshooting machinery such as Formax, Alkar , Multivac, Flexvac , and Slicer equipment. We will train if you have a background in: Boiler, Refrigeration, Electrical, Schematic Reading, Multi-meters, Hydraulics, Pneumatic troubleshooting The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
