Description Position at Pilgrim's Hatchery Maintenance Mechanic lll - Nights At Pilgrim’s, Safety Is A Condition , which means the safety of our team members comes first - always. The Maintenance Mechanic lll is responsible for all maintenance to buildings and equipment at the Hatchery facility . Responsibilities: Performs maintenance on incubation equipment, buildings, and grounds at the Hatchery in the office areas. Performs preventative maintenance on all systems at the facility including incubation, heating/air conditioning, alarms, etc. Checks daily for proper operation of systems, machines and equipment. Monitors and maintains spare parts inventory for incubators and equipment, ensuring that appropriate parts are available as needed. Monitors machine operation/performance on a daily basis. Documents all maintenance issues/concerns at the hatchery and communicates to the leadership team at the Hatchery. Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies. Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams. Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization. All other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need: Considerable knowledge of maintenance and repair of hatchery equipment, heating and air conditioning units, and buildings . Boiler’s License preferred or willingness to obtain. Considerable ability to analyze and resolve complicated maintenance problems. Working skill in supervising, instructing and coordinating the maintenance function Good verbal communication skills. Ability to work with limited supervision and provide feedback to leadership. Considerable ability to operate power tools and machinery. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You will be troubleshooting machinery such as Formax, Alkar , Multivac, Flexvac , and Slicer equipment.
