We are seeking a Product Owner to join our Data & AI Product Team. Reporting to a Senior Product Manager and based at the
Betsson Experience Centre in Ta’ Xbiex, Malta.
As part of the Data & AI Product Team, you will collaborate closely with crossfunctional development teams to
deliver valuedriven solutions across multiple business areas. You will be responsible for products spanning Data Ingestion,
Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning, ensuring they deliver meaningful business impact. You will
contribute to the Data & AI product vision and roadmap, acting as an ambassador for Data & AI products and clearly communicating
their value across the organisation. The role involves translating ideas into well-defined requirements, maintaining product
artefacts in Jira and Confluence, and working closely with technical teams to ensure successful delivery.

Are you a Product Owner with a passion for i-Gaming, innovation, and a love for improving user experiences? We're looking for a talented product owner to join our team and help us bring Betsson Group's vision “to provide the best customer experience in the industry” to life. THE WOW As Product Owner will take ownership for specific parts of the product offering and for key initiatives on the product roadmap. You will also work closely with engineering teams, product designers, data analysts and stakeholders to continuously improve our products and the user experience. A TASTER OF WHAT YOU WILL BE INVOLVED WITH: * Produce detailed product specifications in the form of user stories with detailed acceptance criteria, complemented by descriptive aids such as wireframes and flowcharts where necessary, to ensure the development teams have all required information to deliver the desired outcome. * Lead the product discovery process for assigned initiatives (including hypothesis generation, requirements gathering, design, and scoping) in collaboration with the product manager, product designers, data analysts, and engineers. * Assist the product manager in ensuring that the product development backlog is properly organised, prioritised, and kept up-to-date. * Contribute to the product vision, and champion this vision with stakeholders and the engineering teams. * Ensure that proper analytics, tracking and data collection mechanisms are in place to understand user behaviours and/or product performance. * Provide the necessary product support to the development teams as may be required to aid their delivery. * Work with other parts of the organisation as and when necessary to ensure the expected outcomes are achieved and are measured. * Communicate product releases and the status of ongoing product development to the wider organisation. * Hold effective demos and trainings with stakeholders for new product concepts and releases as and when required. * Ensure that relevant product documentation and wikis are well maintained. * Perform user acceptance testing of new product releases (or ensure co-ordination of). * Continuously reviewing the live product to identify areas for improvement and any deviations from the expected experience. * Assist and support the Product Manager in any matters as may be delegated from time to time. * Learning the market & customer needs through data and customer feedback. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR * A relevant academic degree or qualifications; preferably technology and / or business related. * At least 2 years of experience working in a similar role. * Prior experience in the gaming industry will be considered a plus. * Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing. * Experience working with agile and remote development teams. * Comfortable and confident working with both the technical and commercial sides of an organisation. * Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into solvable and easily understandable parts. * Excellent decision-making skills, with the ability to logically measure risk against potential gain. * A team player capable of building positive working relationships across the company. * A keen eye for detail and a user centric mindset. THE WOW We are looking for someone who seems themselves as part of every team of Betsson Group. You will make yourself available to the whole area and support all teams when architectural guidance is needed. We are looking for someone who has great interpersonal skills and who is a true problem solver! You will work very closely with our Software Engineers and Product Managers – ensuring we are prioritising the correct items for both short- and long-term initiatives. Aside from embodying the ‘One Betsson’ value, you will also work very closely with most if not all Area Architects and Team Leads. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? * Ensuring all initiatives are aligned with the overall technical vision * Supporting Team Leads, Development Teams and Product Managers on technical route(s) to take * Supporting the Product Manager to ensure we have the right priorities in the backlog and roadmap for each initiative * Part of the decision making with key stakeholders * Participate in workshops/exercises/brainstorming/presentations/knowledge-transfer sessions with the rest of the architecture team and other parties * Participate in pre-solution work for new initiatives to outline high level solutions * Participate in design reviews to ensure all solutions adhere to established guidelines * Identification of refactoring activities needed to address technical debt, performance, scalability, availability, reliability, and security * Support development teams and product owners make sure we have relevant NFR’s defined (KPI’s) * Cooperating with Enterprise Architects to align area solutions to correspond to the company’s guidelines around integration patterns, data storage, orchestration, messaging, and other concerns * Supporting the development teams when dealing with architectural decisions, designs and high incidents * Benchmark systems, analyse system bottlenecks and propose solutions to eliminate them * Mentor, guide, and be a technology leader to other more junior team members YOU’RE GOOD AT * Have a good understanding of new technology and how new technology can be exploited to improve our solutions and drive innovation * Good communicator and collaborator. * Experience with microservices and associated tools, such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Docker and Kubernetes * Previous experience in building RESTful services and familiar with best practices * Demonstrated expertise in building applications at scale is a requirement. You will be collaborating both with members of your development team, stakeholders outside the team as well as third party providers and partners * Agile.
