Excellent opportunity to join Betsson Group as our new Senior QA Engineer for Zecure Gaming! Zecure homes the well-known brands Rizk, Guts, Thrills and Aloha Shark. We are currently looking to expand the team to assist us in growing this new, exciting part of our ever-evolving group. THE WOW At Zecure Gaming, we own the full stack—from architecture to user experience—powering some of Betsson's most innovative gaming platforms. Whether it's the back-office tools that keep operations running or the gamification features that keep players coming back, our teams shape every layer of the product. This isn't maintenance work. It's building high-performance systems at scale, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in iGaming, and seeing your work go live across some of the biggest brands in the industry. If you want real ownership, real impact, and a seat at the table—this is where you belong. Are you a Senior QA Engineer looking for your next step in an exciting and fast-paced environment? Zecure Gaming is growing, and we’re looking for a talented Senior QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team! If you have strong attention to detail, a passion for delivering high-quality products, and experience working closely with developers and cross-functional teams, this might be the perfect opportunity for you! As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be involved in functional and non-functional testing, working closely with developers to ensure the quality of our product before it hits production. While this role is more frontend-focused, it does not involve development activities. Instead, you’ll help validate features, confirm with developers that things are good to go, and contribute to a strong QA culture across the company. Automation experience is a bonus, but not a must – we’re more focused on finding someone with solid manual testing skills who is proactive and detail-oriented. A TASTER OF WHAT YOU WILL BE INVOLVED WITH: * Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand requirements and acceptance criteria. * Execute manual test cases (around 70% of the role), including functional, regression, and end-to-end testing. * Contribute to automation where possible – experience with tools like Selenium or Cypress is a plus but not required. * Confirm test readiness for production deployments. * Support upcoming initiatives in performance testing – knowledge of tools like JMeter is welcome, but not mandatory. * Take ownership of test execution and help maintain high product quality across all our brands. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR * Minimum of 3 years of experience in QA (manual and/or automation). * Experience testing frontend applications. * Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium or Cypress (a plus). * Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript is a plus. * Solid understanding of testing methodologies and QA best practices. * Experience with functional and non-functional testing. * Bonus: Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter). * Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments. * Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. WHAT WE OFFER Much like a rollercoaster, life at Betsson Group is fast-paced, full of twists and turns, and always exciting. With more than 2,800 colleagues representing over 75 nationalities across a global network of offices - including 1,500 at our operational headquarters in Malta - every day brings new challenges and opportunities to grow. It may not be for the faint-hearted, but if you thrive on innovation, enjoy pushing boundaries and want to be part of a diverse, international team, then you’ll fit right in at Betsson. At Betsson Group we work with a Hybrid Work From Home (WFH) model, giving you the flexibility of working 3 days in the office (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and 2 days from home. We offer numerous challenges where your skills will be put to good use! We encourage innovation, independence and celebrate success where you will be part of multi-cultural and diverse company, with people from all over the world. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED? Full-Stack Software Engineer at Ameba Engineering at Ameba is a rare opportunity to build cutting-edge software in a traditional industry, while being generously rewarded for your contributions. If you’ve never considered working in supply chains before, everything around you, including the device you're reading this on, has a story of how it got there. Raw material to finished product, that story is the supply chain. If the unseen machinery of the world sparks something in you, we'd love to talk! We're a startup made up of experienced entrepreneurs (who have previously raised $160m+) and builders (ex-Meta, Palantir, Microsoft, Quant Devs, UnlikelyAI). We have big ambitions and are backed by some of the most successful investors in Europe. We’ve raised over $9M since our launch just over a year ago. Your Role as a Full-Stack Engineer As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our CTO and engineering team to design, build, and launch products from conception to launch. This involves working across the entire stack — from front-end (written in React/TypeScript), back-end (written in Kotlin and Python), machine learning (agentic workflows, entity matching), to infrastructure (AWS, Docker). Working at a startup so early, it's common to kick off a feature on Monday, and have users use it on Friday. You should be comfortable working with these tight feedback loops and long to build a product that users love. Don't worry if you lack experience in any of these areas - your application is still welcome! Life at Ameba We pride ourselves on providing top-of-market salaries and generous equity packages to all employees. We're assembling a lean team of exceptionally talented individuals and aim to reward them accordingly. * We enjoy collaborating together in the office, typically five days a week, for easy, high-bandwidth conversations. While we provide flexibility to work from home when necessary, our primary focus at this early stage is creating a strong office-first experience. * We offer 28 holiday days per year, and we shut down entirely over the holiday season for 2 weeks, allowing everyone to disconnect completely. * We provide four months of maternity and paternity leave at 100% salary. * We offer comprehensive healthcare and dental cover. * The salary range for this role is £80,000-£130,000 + generous equity. The salary for this position is determined by several factors, such as experience, relevant skills, business needs, or market demands. * You will have the opportunity (if you want it) to visit customers at their place of work, both in the UK and outside it! We currently work with customers in Portugal, the Netherlands, and more. Qualifications Essential: * Minimum 3 years of experience as a software engineer. * 2+ years of experience with React/TypeScript and an Object-Oriented Programming Language (Java, Scala, Kotlin, C#, C++). * Proven experience in building and shipping software, involving collaboration with other engineers, designers, product managers, and users to identify and implement solutions based on customer needs. * 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems. Desirable: * Undergraduate or Masters degree in Computer Science (or related fields). * Experience with AWS and Docker. * Interest in AI, and familiarity with building LLM-based agents. * Exposure to contract-first development (OpenAPI, gRPC/Protocol Buffers). * Ability to design scalable and efficient system architectures. * Ability to navigate rapidly changing priorities in a growing startup environment. * [Optional] Previous experience working at a startup or a keen interest in startups
POSITION: Permanent, Full Time (30 to 37.5 Hours Per Week) LOCATION: Remote but must be based in the UK or Europe SALARY: £60,000 to £70,000 per year United by our vision. Leading with empathy. Pioneers in curiosity. Healios exists to bring exceptional healthcare to anyone, anytime, anywhere. By digitising entire clinical pathways, we enable children, adults and their family members to receive and seamlessly transition between clinical services from the comfort of their home. Our software supports clinicians, young people and families through some of the most important moments of their lives, so it needs to be reliable, secure and built with care. Our values Our values shape how we build, collaborate and care for everyone we support. We look for people whose own values align with them: * Do the right thing * Act with integrity * Be a great listener * Deliver your best work * Be truly courageous About the role As a Software Engineer at Healios, you’ll build meaningful, well-crafted software that improves access to mental health and neurodevelopmental care. We work in a focused, remote environment that values small, collaborative teams, clear ownership and the space to do your best work without unnecessary meetings or noise. Your work will contribute to one of our three strategic areas: improving the experience of the clinicians who use our platform, making client operations sustainable as we grow, or giving our partners the confidence to expand their work with us. You’re a full-stack generalist who is growing into ownership. You like to take features end-to-end, you’re comfortable with ambiguity and finding your own answers, and you keep your team informed without being chased. You would rather ship something useful and improve it than wait for the perfect approach. You’ll work closely with engineers, analysts and tech associates to shape, build and ship features that are simple, scalable and useful. Specialisms Some engineers hold a specialism based on team needs, usually around 20% of their time. It is a chance to grow domain knowledge and take on a key responsibility. Options include infrastructure (shared tooling, environments and deployment), data insights, front-end and the design system, or engineering response. Our stack We build primarily in Ruby on Rails, but we hire for the engineer rather than the framework. Strong full-stack fundamentals matter more to us than years on any one tool. * The app: Ruby on Rails modular monolith, ViewComponents, Turbo * Testing: RSpec * Database: PostgreSQL * Hosting and infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, Docker * Background jobs: Sidekiq * CI/CD: GitHub Actions * Monitoring: Grafana, Sentry If you don’t meet every point below, please apply anyway. We are more interested in how you think and learn than in a perfect checklist, and we would be glad to consider your application. Need to have * Around 3+ years, or equivalent demonstrable experience, building and maintaining web applications with Ruby on Rails or a similar full-stack framework * Confidence taking features end-to-end, from shaping through to production and beyond * Comfort with ambiguity, and a habit of seeking out your own answers while holding opinions loosely * Strong, thoughtful written communication and a preference for working asynchronously in a remote team * A solid grasp of testing, modular and maintainable design, and basic web security * A product mindset and a preference for simple, durable solutions over short-term cleverness * A commitment to safeguarding and high ethical standards Desirable * Experience with our stack, especially Ruby on Rails, Hotwire, Turbo and ViewComponents * DevOps-adjacent experience across AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and observability (Grafana, Sentry) * Interest in holding a specialism (infrastructure, data insights, front-end and design system, or engineering response) * Curiosity about AI as a tool for better work, including prototyping, exploration and raising quality, not only speed * Experience in healthcare, mental health or other regulated environments, though this is not required What you’ll do * Deliver features end-to-end, with clarity and appropriate test coverage * Take responsibility for small features or technical slices, managing your time and raising ambiguity early * Write maintainable, well-documented code, and refactor with care * Contribute to shaping work, offering input on feasibility, scope and approach before a line is written * Collaborate across disciplines, anticipating how your work connects to the wider system * Share knowledge through reviews, pairing and writing, helping the people around you grow * Support security, reliability and clinical-safety good practice, working with InfoSec and the Clinical Safety Officer where needed A note on your application We use AI at Healios and we’re glad you might too. But please apply as you: we read every application, and a personal one, written in your own words and about your own experience, will stand out more than something clearly generated against this advert. Tell us who you are and why Healios, because that is what we are looking for. How to apply Apply through the link on this page with your CV and a short note about why this role and Healios appeal to you. A formal cover letter is not needed. What to expect: an initial conversation with someone from the team, a practical stage that reflects the kind of work you would actually do rather than abstract puzzles, and a final conversation with the people you would be working alongside. We aim to keep this to 2 stages over around 2 weeks, and we will let you know where you stand at each step. A real person reads every application. What’s in it for you * 33 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) * Paid Christmas closure (between Christmas and New Year) * Birthday Leave - paid day off on your birthday * "Life Leave" - 2 days of extra leave to take when things you can't plan for happen * Enhanced family friendly policies including a phased return to work and receive full pay * Paid company sick pay scheme * Contributory Pension Scheme (6% matched) * Employee Discount to access a private assessment (for ADHD, Autism or a combined assessment) through our Melios service for your child * Fully personalised flexible benefits package including; Health Cash Plan, Life Assurance, EAP Service, Will Writing, Critical Illness Cover, employee discount and savings portal, Cycle to Work Scheme, Tech Scheme and Wine Club! * Work from anywhere policy * Access to NHS and Perks at Work discounts, including the Blue Light Card * Free access to co-working spaces * CPD/Growth day per year, plus personal development allowance to invest in your growth * Bespoke Healios Training and on demand learning including schedule of monthly CPD for clinicians ACCOMMODATIONS We’re glad to accommodate candidates who need adjustments throughout the hiring process and we're always learning about different accessibility needs to ensure our hiring process is accessible for all candidates.
