DEINE MISSION As Orbital Systems Programme Manager, you will own the end-to-end delivery of one of deltaVision's space programmes. You will be the single point of accountability for schedule, budget, scope and risk, and deltaVision's primary interface to partners, subcontractors and customers. Working alongside our Orbital Systems architects and technical domain leads, you will keep a programme on track — from early phase through delivery. Your responsibilities: * Own the programme baseline: schedule, cost, scope, work-package structure and critical path across all phases * Run the programme control cycle — planning, milestone and gate management, earned-value tracking, risk and opportunity management, change control, and progress reporting to internal and external stakeholders * Act as deltaVision's primary interface to consortium partners, coordinating cross-organisation dependencies, interfaces and deliverables * Manage the customer and authority relationship for your programme, including reviews, milestone acceptance and contractual deliverables * Lead internal programme execution across the contributing domains (systems engineering, hardware, and test), keeping teams aligned to plan * Own subcontractor and supplier management within the programme scope: statements of work, NDAs, negotiation, monitoring and delivery * Drive preparation and defence of programme reviews (SRR/PDR/CDR-class) and lead the associated documentation and data-package readiness * Flag strategic dependencies and resource conflicts early, across programme and company priorities * Ensure compliance with ECSS project-management, configuration and quality requirements * Support related bid and proposal activity, contributing programmatics, planning and cost inputs DEIN PROFIL * 5+ years as a programme or project manager for spacecraft or spacecraft subsystems, with demonstrated end-to-end delivery ownership * Proven track record managing cost, schedule and scope on complex, multi-stakeholder space programmes * Hands-on experience with ECSS project-management, review (SRR/PDR/CDR) and milestone frameworks * Experience coordinating across consortia, partners and/or subcontractors, ideally in an institutional (ESA / national agency) funding context * Strong command of planning, risk management and reporting tools and methods * Sound technical judgement across space systems, enabling credible dialogue with domain leads and partners * Excellent stakeholder-management, negotiation and communication skills * Accountable, structured and calm under pressure, with an agile, hands-on mindset * Passion for creating a new spaceflight paradigm (space logistics & orbital refuelling) * Additional advantages: * Familiarity with propulsion or fluidic systems * Experience in a defence / dual-use environment and eligibility to obtain a national security clearance (VS-NfD) * German language proficiency WIR BIETEN * Immediate and flexible start * Permanent full-time position (40 h/week) * Attractive salary * 30 days annual vacation and flexible working hours * Bike leasing, Jobticket and EGYM Wellpass * Complimentary beverages, company events, and professional development opportunities
Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run. Our In-Orbit Services unit is dedicated to expanding and complementing these capabilities by conceptualizing and developing new technologies, products and programs. We are seeking a methodical Fault Management Engineer to help us strike the right balance between performance and reliability. The In-Orbit Services Fault Management Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety of orbital service vehicles and systems. This role is central to the design, development, and operational assurance of in-orbit service missions, supporting both technical risk reduction and mission success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Fault Management Strategy: * Define, implement and validate fault management strategies, including Failure Detection, Isolation, and Recovery (FDIR) logic for in-orbit service vehicles. * Coordinate between hardware and flight software teams to architect robust and lean fault management solutions. * RAMS Analyses & Assurance: * Lead the definition and execution of fault tree analyses (FTA) and Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) to identify and mitigate potential failure modes. * Perform reliability and availability prediction studies and allocate reliability targets to subsystems and equipment. * Conduct hazard analyses for ground, orbital, and re-entry phases, ensuring compliance with relevant safety requirements, including the safety analysis for launch authorities. * Continuous Improvement: * Collect and analyze in-orbit data to inform lessons learned and drive improvements in fault management and overall system reliability. * Support the creation and improvement of RAMS analysis tools and technical documentation. * Collaboration & Communication: * Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, thermal, avionics, software, operations, systems) to integrate RAMS and fault management requirements throughout the project lifecycle. * Prepare and present technical data, recommendations, and reports to internal and external stakeholders. WHAT WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE FROM YOU In the role of In-Orbit Services Fault Management Engineer, ideally you will have the following: * Education: Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in engineering, aerospace, or a related field; specialization in electronics, system engineering or fault management is a plus. * Technical skills: Proficiency in reliability tools (FMECA, FTA, reliability block diagrams) and fault management methodologies. * Experience: Hands-on experience with spacecraft FDIR strategy definition and validation planning and execution. * Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. * Feedback: Willingness to give proactive and mindful feedback across all company levels. * Mindset: Highly motivated to work in a fast paced, autonomously driven, and demanding start-up environment. * Languages: Fluent in English. As an Mechanical, Thermal & Propulsion (MTP) Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of spacecraft propulsion systems at OHB Sweden. Our customers include major space companies, agencies, and commercial operators across Europe and worldwide. OHB Sweden develops propulsion systems for a wide range of scientific, commercial, and Earth-observation missions. Our propulsion solutions enable orbit raising, station keeping, attitude control, collision avoidance, and end-of-life disposal for spacecraft operating in increasingly demanding mission environments. The Propulsion Department is responsible for the complete lifecycle of OHB Sweden's propulsion products, including system design, analysis, testing, qualification, production support, and future technology development. About the Role As an MTP Systems Engineer, you will be the technical owner of complete propulsion subsystems from concept through qualification and production. The role combines systems engineering with deep technical understanding of spacecraft propulsion, thermal control, and mechanical engineering. You will coordinate multidisciplinary development activities and ensure that all engineering disciplines work together to deliver an optimized subsystem. You will lead the technical development of propulsion subsystems while coordinating a team of specialists within propulsion, thermal engineering, mechanical design, and structural analysis. Although these specialists provide the detailed engineering within their respective disciplines, you will be responsible for the overall technical solution and ensuring that all subsystem requirements are met. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, project managers, and internal engineering teams throughout the complete product lifecycle. As an MTP Engineer, you will be responsible for: Technical ownership of spacecraft propulsion subsystems throughout the full development lifecycle. Defining technical solutions together with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Coordinating activities across propulsion, mechanical, thermal, and structural engineering disciplines. Leading technical trade studies and engineering decisions. Ensuring subsystem performance, interfaces, requirements compliance, and technical consistency. Driving system budgets including mass, pressure, thermal, structural, and performance. Coordinating subsystem verification, qualification, and acceptance activities. Supporting customer meetings, technical reviews, and proposal activities. Working closely with project managers to balance technical performance, schedule, cost, and risk. Mentoring engineers and providing technical guidance within the multidisciplinary team. What We're Looking For Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering discipline. At least 7 years of experience developing spacecraft or in-orbit propulsion systems. Solid understanding of spacecraft mechanical design principles. Strong understanding of spacecraft thermal control systems and thermal engineering. Good understanding of spacecraft propulsion systems, including monopropellant hydrazine and bipropellant propulsion. Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams. Experience coordinating complex technical developments across several engineering disciplines. Strong systems thinking and excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Fluency in English. It is considered an advantage if you also have Experience with electric propulsion systems.
