The opportunity In this role as a Software Engineer at Hitachi Energy you will be a part of a Global HVDC Control & Protection Software team. Our team is responsible for Protection. We have interfaces towards other domains within Control & Protection, IT/OT, Hardware and Operations. The need for Engineers within our area is increasing and we are therefore looking for multiple joiners to join our team. Come help us save the world! / Johan Dalén - Team Manager Converter Control - HVDC Control & Protection Software How you’ll make an impact To be part of all phases of delivery, which includes design, maintenance, testing, integration, verification, and deployment of the software functions needed for safe and reliable operations of plants and transmission links, with the opportunity to also travel internationally for short assignments to our sites for Commissioning and costumer meetings. Work with documentation and customer trainings. Have a sense of responsibility and ownership, being capable of planning and organizing your daily work. Your background You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within a relevant field, such aa Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, High Voltage. You have work proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages, such as Swedish are an advantage. You have an interest or experience within software development and programming. You have an interest or experience in digital control technology, signal processing and filtering. You have an interest or experience from the electric power industry. Du arbetar nära automation, nätverk, systemingenjörer och site-team i internationella projekt, och ser dina lösningar tas i drift i verkliga anläggningar. Hur du kommer att påverka Design och konfigurering av SCADA- och HMI-system Integration av OT-system mot kontroll- och skyddssystem Konfiguration av kommunikationsprotokoll (t.ex. As an OT / SCADA Engineer, the role involves designing, configuring, and commissioning control and monitoring systems in HVDC installations and test environments. The work ensures stable and secure communication, data collection, and monitoring in critical systems with high availability requirements. The role collaborates closely with automation, network, and system engineers as well as site teams in international projects, where your solutions are implemented in real installations.
