💬 ACCURX IS WHERE CONVERSATIONS HAPPEN WITH AND ABOUT PATIENTS.
For decades, the NHS has struggled with fragmented systems that make simple tasks feel impossible. We’re changing that by building
a single, system-wide platform that connects everyone through communication.
What started as a way for GPs to text a patient has now evolved into an all-in-one digital toolkit used by 98% of GP practices.
Our platform now powers Total Triage to manage patient demand, and Self-Book, which lets patients schedule their own appointments
in seconds. We’ve automated routine care with Patient Questionnaires for long-term conditions, while Accumail finally allows
staff-to-staff communication to happen instantly across different care settings. We’re now pushing the boundaries of the
consultation itself with Accurx Scribe, our AI-powered note-taker that drafts medical notes in real-time.
Our engineers have sat in GP waiting rooms. They've watched practice managers juggle three systems at once to send a single
message to a patient. They build for that person.
What sets our Product Engineers apart is that they own the problem, not just the code. They shape what gets built and how -
working with Product, Design and Clinical from the earliest stages - and they stay with the systems they build as they evolve.
They bring engineering judgment into product decisions, and product thinking into engineering ones.
Our stack is primarily C# on the backend, TypeScript and React on the frontend, running on Azure. ML/AI work uses Python. We don't
expect you to know all of it - we expect you to follow a problem wherever it leads.

At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition. For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster. Staff Engineer - Customer Interfaces As a Staff Engineer for Customer Interfaces (CI), you will lead the evolution of the Adyen experience from a traditional dashboard into an intelligent, conversational financial partner. We are looking for a product engineer who can wear an architectural hat to build Agentic Workflows and manage backend orchestration (specifically Tool-use, Chains, and Policy Layers). This role is essential for transforming natural language inputs into authenticated, secure financial operations. You have a track record of partnering with product teams to turn ambiguous goals into robust technical reality. * Applied AI Experience: You have experience (or a deep technical interest) in building production-grade interfaces powered by LLMs, including harnesses, policy enforcement, evals, RAG architectures and secure data handling. * Full-Stack Powerhouse: Deeply proficient in Java for secure backend services and TypeScript/React/Vue for complex front-end applications. * Security First: You have a "security-by-design" mindset, particularly regarding the handling of sensitive financial data in modern web environments. * Entrepreneurial & Autonomous: You will be a core member of our growing San Francisco team, where you will be expected to operate with speed and autonomy. ABOUT AURELIAN Aurelian builds AI tools that help 911 centers handle more with less, so telecommunicators can stay focused on what matters most and communities get the response they need. AVA is a conversational AI agent that answers non-emergency calls; the agent routes, triages, and resolves the calls without any human intervention. By handling administrative calls like noise complaints, lost dogs, and parking inquiries, AVA eliminates hold times and lets call-takers focus their energy on actual emergencies. CORA supports call-takers on the calls that matter most. CORA is an on-screen assistant that delivers real-time SOP checklists, smart reminders, and contextual guidance as an emergency call unfolds, so dispatchers stay calm, consistent, and confident when every second counts. When AVA detects an emergency mid-call, it transfers the caller to a telecommunicator and passes along the caller details, location, incident type, and key statements directly into CORA. The call-taker never starts from scratch. The problem we're solving is serious. The average emergency communications center is 30% understaffed nationwide. Staffing shortages drive burnout and attrition, which makes the shortage worse. Meanwhile, 60-80% of the calls coming in aren't even emergencies at all. Aurelian addresses both sides of that equation: AVA reduces unnecessary call volume, and CORA makes every emergency call more manageable for the people handling it. Aurelian is live in centers across the country, answering thousands of non-emergency calls every day, and is backed by New Enterprise Associates and Y Combinator. Aurelian is growing rapidly; we are hiring people who want to help scale this work and make a real difference in public safety infrastructure for communities across the country. WHY JOIN US We're hiring a Staff Product Engineer to own product outcomes end-to-end. We don't have product managers at Aurelian — our engineers talk to customers, decide what to build, and ship it. This role is for someone who is as excited about why we're building something as how. You'll write code every week, but the thing that makes you exceptional is your ability to deeply understand a problem, make smart product decisions, and own the outcome. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING * Own product outcomes, not just features: You won't be handed a spec. You'll talk to customers, identify the highest-leverage problems, figure out what to build, and build it. * Be the PM for your area: You'll define the roadmap, make prioritization tradeoffs, and communicate progress across the company. * Ship fast and iterate: Build and ship features across our platform — from AI call handling, to dispatcher-facing tools, to analytics and integrations. Get things into customers' hands, learn, and iterate. * Work directly with customers: Our users are 9-1-1 dispatchers and PSAP administrators. You'll visit dispatch centers, watch how they use the product, and use that context to drive what you build next. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Product thinker first, engineer second: You've owned products or features end-to-end — not just built what someone else decided. You think in terms of user problems and outcomes, not just technical solutions. * Comfortable across the stack: 6+ years of software engineering experience. You can build what needs building — frontend, backend, or both. You don't need to be the deepest technical expert on the team, but you're a capable, confident engineer. * High ownership: You see a problem, figure out the right thing to build, and drive it to completion. You take responsibility for outcomes, not just your code. * Customer empathy: You genuinely like understanding how people use software. You're energized by customer conversations, not drained by them. To learn more about what it's like to work at Aurelian, visit our About Us page and follow us on LinkedIn to stay up to date! We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every qualification listed above. We believe exceptional people come from many different backgrounds, and we’d rather connect with you than miss the opportunity. Come do the best work of your life and join us in shaping the future of critical technology that truly matters. FOR FULL-TIME ROLES, AURELIAN OFFERS A VARIETY OF BENEFITS, INCLUDING: * Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision & Life insurance * 401(k) * Unlimited PTO * Company-wide offsites * Equipment stipend * Relocation assistance * Daily delivered lunches (on us) * Office in Seattle * Start-up Equity
