EBS is a rapidly expanding, entrepreneurial technology company and part of Alarm.com. Alarm.com is the leading cloud-based
platform for smart security and the Internet of Things. More than 7.6+ million home and business owners depend on our solutions
every day to make their properties safer, smarter, and more efficient. We’re innovating new technologies in rapidly evolving
spaces including AI, video analytics, facial recognition, machine learning, energy analytics, and more.
The Access Control (AC) team is a blend of full-stack engineers, leaning backend, who build the platform that businesses rely on
to secure and manage physical access to their properties. Our services span the full journey of an access control system — from
cloud APIs and event pipelines down to the communication layer that talks directly to panels, card readers, and smart locks in the
field. Some examples include enabling multi-site businesses to manage access from a single dashboard, delivering real-time access
activity and history to property managers, and keeping thousands of controllers in the field configured, updated, and in sync with
the cloud. We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend-leaning Full-stack) who is passionate about building reliable,
scalable systems that bridge cloud software and real-world hardware and wants to see their code open doors — literally — for
businesses around the world.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Access Control team, you will design, develop, and optimize the backend services that power
our access control platform — from cloud APIs and event pipelines down to the systems that communicate with physical controllers
and readers in the field. While the role is backend-leaning, you’ll work across the full stack, contributing to our web front end
when features call for it.
Alarm.com values working together and collaborating in person. We are building a new team in Krakow. Our employees work fully from
the office with possibility to work remotely occasionally.

You will work closely with engineering teams, architects, and senior stakeholders, providing hands-on technical leadership and helping shape practical engineering decisions within a highly regulated environment. What We're Looking For * Pragmatic engineers who can improve systems incrementally rather than seeking wholesale rewrites. * Engineers who understand how to deliver incremental improvements, focusing on the right problems rather than attempting wholesale replacement of existing systems. * Individuals comfortable navigating legacy codebases and building understanding where documentation or domain knowledge may be limited. * T-shaped engineers with strong technical depth alongside architecture awareness and broader business understanding. * Engineers who can balance technical excellence with commercial and delivery realities. * Team players who contribute positively to engineering culture and stakeholder relationships. * Individuals who can establish credibility quickly within a large enterprise environment. Nice to Have * * Experience modernising legacy enterprise applications and services. * Exposure to WCF, WPF, and broader Microsoft technology stacks. * Experience supporting large-scale transformation or platform consolidation initiatives. * Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar technologies. * Experience working within financial services or other highly regulated environments.
