AVAILABLE LOCATIONS * Lisbon, Portugal ABOUT THE ROLE In this role, you will contribute to Cloudflare's revenue generation engine by delivering pipeline at scale to the Sales counterparts. You will do this through a maniacal focus on people, process, and tools. RESPONSIBILITIES This is a great opportunity to be a member of our high performing Sales team at a hyper-growth technology company. The Business Development Representative (BDR) will: * Be the first point of contact for customers that need help finding solutions * Develop your customer centric sales skills to deliver a stellar customer experience * Learn Cloudflare’s products and services in detail * Similar to other roles that Cloudflare, this role has a tenure requirement of 18-24 months before you may be eligible to apply for another role within the company. As the Business Development Representative (BDR), you will: * Create excellent customer experiences * Learn customer-centric sales skills * Become an expert in Cloudflare’s product * Team members have opportunities to move into roles across the organization, especially in mid-market sales, customer success, solutions engineering, and sales operations * Day in the Life of BDR at Cloudflare * Own and meet target quota related to number of qualified opportunities, response SLA, value of sales pipeline, and revenue * Develop new business opportunities from inbound and marketing-generated leads * Discover pain points and use case, map them to broad set of Cloudflare solutions and qualify for Enterprise sales opportunities * Work cross-functionally with stakeholders (account executives, marketing, sales operations, fellow BDRs) * Report, track, and manage sales activities and results using SFDC * Play an active role in the creation and iteration of team processes DESIRABLE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE * Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience * Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit * Ability to work as part of a team or independently * Analytical, organization and time management skills * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Strong interpersonal communication skills * Customer-oriented mindset with empathy and curiosity * Aptitude to learn technical concepts/terms * Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously * Minimum 1 years of experience in BDR or in a similar capacity in technology industry is preferred, specifically in SaaS will be a plus * Experience in Outreach and Salesforce is a plus MISC. * Note: This is an open application.  COMPENSATION * For Portugal based hires: Estimated annual salary is between €38,000 - €53,000. * The final offer will be inclusive of time exemption (isenção de horário de trabalho), in alignment with the applicable law and collective bargaining agreements. This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation under Cloudflare’s Sales Compensation Plan. The estimated annual salary range includes the on-target incentive compensation that may be attained in this role under the Sales Compensation Plan. RESPONSIBILITIES * In this role, your primary responsibility is driving business growth and expanding the customer base of Cloudflare by identifying and nurturing potential opportunities through proactive outreach and effective lead qualification. * Prospect and research potential leads or target accounts * Initiate outbound calls to introduce Cloudflare products/services * Qualify leads based on interest, budget, authority, and fit * Build relationships and rapport with potential customers * Develop in-depth knowledge of Cloudflare offerings * Manage and update CRM with accurate information * Collaborate with the sales team to hand off qualified opportunities * Meet or exceed set targets and KPIs * Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions * Provide regular reports and insights to managers and fellow team members DESIRABLE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE * Language Requirement: Since this role involves working with LATAM markets, Fluent (Business Level) in Spanish is required. * Minimum 6mos of professional working experience, coupled with an interest in transitioning to a role in outbound sales * Minimum 6 mos of proven experience in a sales or business development role, with a focus on outbound prospecting or lead generation * Ability to meet and exceed achievable targets * Foundational knowledge of computer networking and “how the internet works” * Motivation, drive and a self-starting attitude * Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, such as sales and marketing * Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce.com, proficiency in LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and familiarity with tools like Outreach.io or Salesloft would be advantageous * Effective communicator with strong follow-up skills * Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Adaptability, resilience, and the ability to handle rejection or objections in a positive manner * Resolute desire to move up in other sales functions at Cloudflare * Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and terminology * Ability to travel within and outside the United States and/or Canada as required * Making a minimum of 50 outbound calls per day * Sending a minimum of 30 targeted emails per day using Salesloft * Generating a minimum of 5+ qualified opportunities per week through calls, email and social outreach * Actively managing and progressing sales cadences (Salesloft) * Ensuring timely follow-up on all leads or inquiries within 24 hours * Meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets and KPIs * Keeping CRM data accurate and up-to-date at all times * Receiving positive feedback from team members or manager COMPENSATION Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. The estimated annual salary range includes the on-target incentive compensation that may be attained in this role under the Sales Compensation Plan.
