Als Junior Software Engineer versterk je de klant in het ontwikkelingsproces van software applicaties en werkt in co-creatie oplossingen op maat uit. Na een opleidingsperiode start je op een project, waar je verschillende richtingen uit kan. Meer richting software craftmanship, software engineering (fullstack of meer FEE-, integratie uitdagingen of meer richting data engineering, security). Bovenal heb je oog voor een goed technisch design, future proof oplossingen en werken volgens goede best practices. Je hecht belang aan het maken van creatieve en elegante oplossingen die een impact hebben op en gealigneerd zijn met de business van onze klanten. Je zal in team werken met andere AE'ers en mensen van de klant. Naast je inhoudelijk werk, investeer je, samen met je AE collega's, ook tijd in het verbeteren van de werkcontext van de klant door anderen ook te helpen een goede aanpak te hanteren en verbetervoorstellen uit te werken. De richting waarin je daarna groeit bepaal je zelf afhankelijk van je interesse en voortschrijdend inzicht. AE is onder meer actief in software architectuur, informatie architectuur, data engineering, integratie architectuur, maar ook voorbeeld binnen analyse, applicatie architectuur, project/programma management, enterprise architectuur en change management. Er zijn ook enkele mogelijkheden om te starten binnen onze AE studio (intern) als junior software engineer, dus ook als consultancy niets voor jou is, kan het eventueel interessant zijn.

About the project : The product is a global employee recognition platform used by large companies to help people thank and reward each other at work. Employees can send personalized recognition messages, attach points or awards, and later exchange those points for gifts from the internal rewards catalog. In many organizations, employees feel unseen and undervalued, even when they do great work. Our product solves this by creating a simple, engaging way for people to recognize good work instantly, right when it happens, and make that recognition visible to the whole company. The platform supports multi-tenant architecture, meaning every client has its own version of the system with unique branding, translations, reward programs, and product catalog categories. End users are medium- and large-sized enterprises worldwide that care about employee engagement, retention, and company culture. The team includes Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Designers, QA, and a Project Manager working in close collaboration. We use Agile, with regular iterations and two releases per year. The roadmap is defined upfront. Requirements: * 1+ years of experience in IT business analysis, creating technical documentation. * Quick learning: ability and desire to self-educate in a new industry in a short time. * System thinking: the ability to analyze products, evaluate impact, and think about risks. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to talk with technical and non-technical people, as well as management. * English B2 and higher: fluent communication with the clients and international team members. * Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the client and team needs. Responsibilities: * Communicate clearly and confidently to build trust and effective relationships with folks on both the business and technical sides. * Elicit and discuss functional and non-functional requirements with the stakeholders. * Analyze the existing specifications and actual solution as the source of requirements. * Present requirements to the team and provide support in grooming and testing activities. * Decompose the requirements into backlog items and maintain the backlog. * Update the solution specification documentation. Nice to have: * AI knowledge and experience applying it to add value to both the development lifecycle as well as incorporating it into features for client-facing applications Team: 3 BAs, 10 In-House DEVs, 4 DEVs on customer side, 6 Manual QAs, 1 AQA, 1 Scrum Master/Project Manager. Up to 25 people in total. Schedule: 5/2, 8-hour working day (40 hr per week).
