COMMERCIAL BANKING ASSISTANT SUMMARY This position provides direct support to commercial bankers by preparing and assembling loan documentation, coordinating communication with customers, and performing a range of administrative duties. This position requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. This position interacts regularly with commercial bankers, credit analysts, loan operations, retail staff, and customers. Work is performed within the framework of standard operating policies and procedures; however, independent judgment and discretion are required in performing assigned tasks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Conduct research to prepare and assemble commercial loan files using internal systems and approved external resources; proofread all documentation for accuracy and completeness. Coordinate and prepare commercial loan extensions, gather required file materials, and forward to centralized loan processing; review and distribute executed documents as needed. Assist commercial bankers with loan closings, including document preparation, general correspondence, and customer follow-up. Review title commitments, pull flood determinations, conduct UCC searches, and analyze entity documents to confirm ownership and signing authority. Scan and index loan documents into the bank’s cold storage system, ensuring proper naming conventions and organization. Provide customer service in person and by phone; greet and assist visitors, answer inquiries, and direct questions appropriately; notarize customer documents as requested. Perform general administrative duties including filing, distributing mail, and supporting commercial bankers. Process wire and telephone transfer requests for customers in accordance with policy; process loan payment, draw request, and loan advances. Receive and track financial statements, enter required data into loan tracking spreadsheets, and follow up with commercial bankers on outstanding items. Prepare and process payoff letters, demand letters, and legal descriptions. Coordinate with commercial bankers for document execution and lien releases. Handle routine transactions and inquiries using independent judgment; address customer concerns professionally and provide appropriate resolution or escalation. Comply with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures. NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintain professional development through job-related seminars, conferences, and training. Represent the bank at community events and participate in outreach activities as assigned. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and calculate rates, ratios, and percentages. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to operate standard office and bank equipment, including scanners and document indexing systems. Strong data entry and organizational skills. Advanced PC knowledge. Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Grant Writer is responsible for generating institutional funding by researching, writing, and managing grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and other funding entities. The Grant Writer uses strong writing skills, data analysis, and emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence (AI) tools—to increase efficiency, strengthen narratives, and support accurate, timely grant submissions and reporting. This role also supports grant stewardship, compliance, and cross‑departmental collaboration to advance programs serving the senior community. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: * Generate revenue for capital projects, programs, and initiatives supporting seniors by managing the full lifecycle of grant development, including research, proposal writing, submission, and post‑award management * Identify and cultivate new funding opportunities aligned with St. Paul’s mission, institutional priorities, and senior services programming * Utilize AI‑enabled research, drafting, and editing tools to support grant prospect research, proposal development, and reporting while ensuring accuracy, originality, and funder compliance * Collaborate with department leaders to gather programmatic information, outcomes, and impact data for grant proposals and reports * Work closely with the Finance Department to prepare required financial documentation and grant reports * Ensure full compliance with all funder guidelines, reporting deadlines, and stewardship requirements * Provide ongoing stewardship to grantors through written updates, impact reports, and acknowledgments * Maintain accurate grant tracking records, calendars, and documentation * Develop a working knowledge of St. Paul’s history, programs, and service model for older adults * Coordinate meetings, site visits, and cultivation activities between the Chief Executive Officer and foundation or corporate funders * Assist with additional fundraising and development projects as needed KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: * Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, compelling, and persuasive grant proposals * Demonstrated success securing grant funding in a nonprofit environment * Proficiency using AI‑assisted tools for research, writing, editing, and workflow support, with the ability to apply sound judgment and maintain content accuracy and integrity * Ability to translate complex social and senior‑care issues into accessible and compelling narratives * Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with leadership, staff, and external partners * Working knowledge of ethical fundraising practices and institutional fundraising strategies * Comfortable representing St. Paul’s at meetings, events, and community functions * Ability to travel locally to off‑site meetings or engagements QUALIFICATIONS: * Proven record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals * Experience using digital tools, grant databases, and AI‑supported writing or research platforms preferred * Strong attention to detail and follow‑through * Commitment to the mission of serving older adults EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required * Minimum of four (4) years of grant writing experience in a nonprofit setting, or equivalent demonstrated writing and fundraising ability #ZR
